7 και επιγνους οτι εκ της εξουσιας ηρωδου εστιν ανεπεμψεν αυτον προς ηρωδην οντα και αυτον εν ιεροσολυμοις εν ταυταις ταις ημεραις
8 ο δε ηρωδης ιδων τον ιησουν εχαρη λιαν ην γαρ εξ ικανων χρονων θελων ιδειν αυτον δια το ακουειν περι αυτου και ηλπιζεν τι σημειον ιδειν υπ αυτου γινομενον
9 επηρωτα δε αυτον εν λογοις ικανοις αυτος δε ουδεν απεκρινατο αυτω
10 ειστηκεισαν δε οι αρχιερεις και οι γραμματεις ευτονως κατηγορουντες αυτου
11 εξουθενησας δε αυτον ο ηρωδης συν τοις στρατευμασιν αυτου και εμπαιξας περιβαλων εσθητα λαμπραν ανεπεμψεν αυτον τω πιλατω
12 εγενοντο δε φιλοι ο τε ηρωδης και ο πιλατος εν αυτη τη ημερα μετ αλληλων προυπηρχον γαρ εν εχθρα οντες προς αυτους
13 πιλατος δε συγκαλεσαμενος τους αρχιερεις και τους αρχοντας και τον λαον
14 ειπεν προς αυτους προσηνεγκατε μοι τον ανθρωπον τουτον ως αποστρεφοντα τον λαον και ιδου εγω ενωπιον υμων ανακρινας ουθεν ευρον εν τω ανθρωπω τουτω αιτιον ων κατηγορειτε κατ αυτου
15 αλλ ουδε ηρωδης ανεπεμψεν γαρ αυτον προς ημας και ιδου ουδεν αξιον θανατου εστιν πεπραγμενον αυτω
16 παιδευσας ουν αυτον απολυσω
17 18 ανεκραγον δε παμπληθει λεγοντες αιρε τουτον απολυσον δε ημιν τον βαραββαν
19 οστις ην δια στασιν τινα γενομενην εν τη πολει και φονον βληθεις εν τη φυλακη
20 παλιν δε ο πιλατος προσεφωνησεν αυτοις θελων απολυσαι τον ιησουν
21 οι δε επεφωνουν λεγοντες σταυρου σταυρου αυτον
22 ο δε τριτον ειπεν προς αυτους τι γαρ κακον εποιησεν ουτος ουδεν αιτιον θανατου ευρον εν αυτω παιδευσας ουν αυτον απολυσω
23 οι δε επεκειντο φωναις μεγαλαις αιτουμενοι αυτον σταυρωθηναι και κατισχυον αι φωναι αυτων
24 και πιλατος επεκρινεν γενεσθαι το αιτημα αυτων
25 απελυσεν δε τον δια στασιν και φονον βεβλημενον εις φυλακην ον ητουντο τον δε ιησουν παρεδωκεν τω θεληματι αυτων
26 και ως απηγαγον αυτον επιλαβομενοι σιμωνα τινα κυρηναιον ερχομενον απ αγρου επεθηκαν αυτω τον σταυρον φερειν οπισθεν του ιησου
27 ηκολουθει δε αυτω πολυ πληθος του λαου και γυναικων αι εκοπτοντο και εθρηνουν αυτον
28 στραφεις δε προς αυτας ιησους ειπεν θυγατερες ιερουσαλημ μη κλαιετε επ εμε πλην εφ εαυτας κλαιετε και επι τα τεκνα υμων
29 οτι ιδου ερχονται ημεραι εν αις ερουσιν μακαριαι αι στειραι και αι κοιλιαι αι ουκ εγεννησαν και μαστοι οι ουκ εθρεψαν
30 τοτε αρξονται λεγειν τοις ορεσιν πεσετε εφ ημας και τοις βουνοις καλυψατε ημας
31 οτι ει εν υγρω ξυλω ταυτα ποιουσιν εν τω ξηρω τι γενηται
32 ηγοντο δε και ετεροι κακουργοι δυο συν αυτω αναιρεθηναι
33 και οτε ηλθον επι τον τοπον τον καλουμενον κρανιον εκει εσταυρωσαν αυτον και τους κακουργους ον μεν εκ δεξιων ον δε εξ αριστερων
34 [[ο δε ιησους ελεγεν πατερ αφες αυτοις ου γαρ οιδασιν τι ποιουσιν]] διαμεριζομενοι δε τα ιματια αυτου εβαλον κληρον
35 και ειστηκει ο λαος θεωρων εξεμυκτηριζον δε και οι αρχοντες λεγοντες αλλους εσωσεν σωσατω εαυτον ει ουτος εστιν ο χριστος του θεου ο εκλεκτος
36 ενεπαιξαν δε αυτω και οι στρατιωται προσερχομενοι οξος προσφεροντες αυτω
37 και λεγοντες ει συ ει ο βασιλευς των ιουδαιων σωσον σεαυτον
38 ην δε και επιγραφη επ αυτω ο βασιλευς των ιουδαιων ουτος
39 εις δε των κρεμασθεντων κακουργων εβλασφημει αυτον ουχι συ ει ο χριστος σωσον σεαυτον και ημας
40 αποκριθεις δε ο ετερος επιτιμων αυτω εφη ουδε φοβη συ τον θεον οτι εν τω αυτω κριματι ει
41 και ημεις μεν δικαιως αξια γαρ ων επραξαμεν απολαμβανομεν ουτος δε ουδεν ατοπον επραξεν
42 και ελεγεν ιησου μνησθητι μου οταν ελθης εις την βασιλειαν σου
43 και ειπεν αυτω αμην σοι λεγω σημερον μετ εμου εση εν τω παραδεισω
44 και ην ηδη ωσει ωρα εκτη και σκοτος εγενετο εφ ολην την γην εως ωρας ενατης
45 του ηλιου εκλειποντος εσχισθη δε το καταπετασμα του ναου μεσον
46 και φωνησας φωνη μεγαλη ο ιησους ειπεν πατερ εις χειρας σου παρατιθεμαι το πνευμα μου τουτο δε ειπων εξεπνευσεν
47 ιδων δε ο εκατονταρχης το γενομενον εδοξαζεν τον θεον λεγων οντως ο ανθρωπος ουτος δικαιος ην
48 και παντες οι συμπαραγενομενοι οχλοι επι την θεωριαν ταυτην θεωρησαντες τα γενομενα τυπτοντες τα στηθη υπεστρεφον
49 ειστηκεισαν δε παντες οι γνωστοι αυτω απο μακροθεν και γυναικες αι συνακολουθουσαι αυτω απο της γαλιλαιας ορωσαι ταυτα
50 και ιδου ανηρ ονοματι ιωσηφ βουλευτης υπαρχων ανηρ αγαθος και δικαιος
51 ουτος ουκ ην συγκατατεθειμενος τη βουλη και τη πραξει αυτων απο αριμαθαιας πολεως των ιουδαιων ος προσεδεχετο την βασιλειαν του θεου
52 ουτος προσελθων τω πιλατω ητησατο το σωμα του ιησου
53 και καθελων ενετυλιξεν αυτο σινδονι και εθηκεν αυτον εν μνηματι λαξευτω ου ουκ ην ουδεις ουπω κειμενος
54 και ημερα ην παρασκευης και σαββατον επεφωσκεν
55 κατακολουθησασαι δε αι γυναικες αιτινες ησαν συνεληλυθυιαι εκ της γαλιλαιας αυτω εθεασαντο το μνημειον και ως ετεθη το σωμα αυτου
56 υποστρεψασαι δε ητοιμασαν αρωματα και μυρα και το μεν σαββατον ησυχασαν κατα την εντολην

Исо Масех на допросе у Пилата(A)
23 Все встали и повели Исо к Пилату[a]. 2 Там они начали обвинять Его:
– Мы установили, что Этот Человек совращает наш народ. Он запрещает платить дань императору[b] и называет Себя обещанным Масехом, Царём.
3 Пилат спросил Его:
– Ты Царь иудеев?
– Ты сам так говоришь, – ответил Исо.
4 Тогда Пилат сказал главным священнослужителям и толпе:
– У меня нет никаких оснований осудить Этого Человека.
5 Но они настаивали:
– Он Своим учением возмущает народ по всей Иудее, начал в Галилее, а теперь пришёл сюда.
Исо Масех на допросе у Ирода
6 – Этот Человек – галилеянин? – спросил, услышав это, Пилат. 7 И узнав, что Исо был из области, подвластной Ироду[c], который тоже был в это время в Иерусалиме, он послал Исо к нему. 8 Ирод, увидев Исо, очень обрадовался, потому что уже давно хотел Его увидеть. Он много слышал об Исо и надеялся, что тот совершит для него какое-нибудь чудо. 9 Он задавал Ему много вопросов, но Исо ничего не отвечал. 10 Стоявшие там главные священнослужители и учители Таврота усиленно обвиняли Исо. 11 Ирод же и его солдаты, посмеявшись и поиздевавшись над Исо, надели на Него царское одеяние и отослали обратно к Пилату. 12 В этот день Ирод и Пилат стали друзьями, а прежде они враждовали.
Пилат осуждает Исо Масеха на распятие(B)
13 Пилат, созвав главных священнослужителей, начальников и народ, 14 сказал им:
– Вы привели ко мне Этого Человека и сказали, что Он подстрекает народ. Допросив Его в вашем присутствии, я не нахожу Его виновным в том, в чём вы Его обвиняете. 15 Ирод тоже не нашёл в Нём никакой вины и отослал Его обратно к нам. Как видите, Он не сделал ничего, достойного смерти. 16-17 Поэтому я прикажу бичевать Его, а затем отпущу.[d]
18 Тогда все в один голос закричали:
– Смерть Ему! Отпусти нам Бар-Аббу!
19 (Бар-Абба был заключён в темницу за поднятый в городе мятеж и за убийство.) 20 Пилат же хотел отпустить Исо и ещё раз спросил их. 21 Но они кричали:
– Распни, распни Его!
22 Пилат в третий раз спросил:

«люди скажут горам: “Падите на нас!”
и холмам: “Покройте нас!”»[e].
31 Ведь если с Праведником так поступают, то что же будет с грешниками?[f]
Казнь Исо Масеха(D)
32 С Исо вели на казнь и двух преступников. 33 Когда они пришли на место, называемое Лобным[g], там распяли и Его, и преступников, одного по правую, а другого по левую сторону от Него.
34 Исо говорил:
– Отец, прости им, ведь они не знают, что делают.
Солдаты разделили между собой одежду Исо, бросив жребий[h].
35 Народ стоял и смотрел. Начальники же смеялись над Ним:
– Спасал других! Пусть теперь спасёт Самого Себя, если Он Избранник Всевышнего – Масех![i]
36 Солдаты тоже насмехались над Ним. Они давали Исо кислое вино[j] 37 и говорили:
– Спаси Себя, если Ты Царь иудеев!
38 А над Исо на кресте была надпись: ЭТО ЦАРЬ ИУДЕЕВ.
39 Один из распятых преступников оскорблял Его, говоря:
– Разве Ты не обещанный Масех? Спаси Себя и нас!
40 Другой же унимал его и говорил:
– Побойся Всевышнего! Ведь ты приговорён к тому же. 41 Мы наказаны справедливо и получили по заслугам, а Этот Человек не сделал ничего плохого.
42 И он сказал:
– Исо, вспомни меня, когда вернёшься как Царь.
43 – Говорю тебе истину: сегодня ты будешь со Мной в раю, – ответил ему Исо.
Смерть Исо Масеха(E)
44 Было около полудня, и по всей земле стало темно, и это продолжалось до трёх часов дня. 45 Солнце померкло, и завеса в храме разорвалась на две части.[k] 46 Исо громко крикнул:
– Отец, в Твои руки Я отдаю Мой дух![l]
Сказав это, Он испустил дух. 47 Когда римский офицер всё это увидел, он прославил Всевышнего и сказал:
– Этот Человек действительно был праведником!
48 И все люди, собравшиеся посмотреть на казнь, увидев, что произошло, возвращались по домам, ударяя себя в грудь. 49 Но все, кто знал Исо, включая и женщин, которые шли за Ним из Галилеи, стояли в отдалении, наблюдая за происходящим.

50 Там был добрый и праведный человек, которого звали Юсуф. Будучи членом Совета, 51 он, однако, не был согласен с решением и делом иудейских вождей. Юсуф был уроженцем города Аримафеи в Иудее и ожидал прихода Царства Всевышнего. 52 Этот человек пошёл к Пилату и попросил тело Исо. 53 Он снял тело, обернул его в льняное полотно и положил в высеченную в скале могильную пещеру, где ещё никого до этого не хоронили. 54 Это была пятница – день приготовления к иудейской субботе, которая уже наступала.[m] 55 За Юсуфом пошли женщины, пришедшие с Исо из Галилеи, они видели могильную пещеру и то, как тело Исо было положено в неё. 56 Вернувшись, они приготовили душистые мази и масла. 23 Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate.(A) 2 And they began to accuse him, saying, “We have found this man subverting our nation.(B) He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar(C) and claims to be Messiah, a king.”(D)
3 So Pilate asked Jesus, “Are you the king of the Jews?”
“You have said so,” Jesus replied.
4 Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.”(E)
5 But they insisted, “He stirs up the people all over Judea by his teaching. He started in Galilee(F) and has come all the way here.”
6 On hearing this, Pilate asked if the man was a Galilean.(G) 7 When he learned that Jesus was under Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod,(H) who was also in Jerusalem at that time.
8 When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased, because for a long time he had been wanting to see him.(I) From what he had heard about him, he hoped to see him perform a sign of some sort. 9 He plied him with many questions, but Jesus gave him no answer.(J) 10 The chief priests and the teachers of the law were standing there, vehemently accusing him. 11 Then Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked him. Dressing him in an elegant robe,(K) they sent him back to Pilate. 12 That day Herod and Pilate became friends(L)—before this they had been enemies.
13 Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers and the people, 14 and said to them, “You brought me this man as one who was inciting the people to rebellion. I have examined him in your presence and have found no basis for your charges against him.(M) 15 Neither has Herod, for he sent him back to us; as you can see, he has done nothing to deserve death. 16 Therefore, I will punish him(N) and then release him.” [17] [a]
18 But the whole crowd shouted, “Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!”(O) 19 (Barabbas had been thrown into prison for an insurrection in the city, and for murder.)
20 Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate appealed to them again. 21 But they kept shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”
22 For the third time he spoke to them: “Why? What crime has this man committed? I have found in him no grounds for the death penalty. Therefore I will have him punished and then release him.”(P)
23 But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed. 24 So Pilate decided to grant their demand. 25 He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will.
The Crucifixion of Jesus(Q)
26 As the soldiers led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene,(R) who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus.(S) 27 A large number of people followed him, including women who mourned and wailed(T) for him. 28 Jesus turned and said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children.(U) 29 For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’(V) 30 Then
31 For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”(X)
32 Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed.(Y) 33 When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. 34 Jesus said, “Father,(Z) forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”[c](AA) And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.(AB)
35 The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him.(AC) They said, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.”(AD)
36 The soldiers also came up and mocked him.(AE) They offered him wine vinegar(AF) 37 and said, “If you are the king of the Jews,(AG) save yourself.”
38 There was a written notice above him, which read: this is the king of the jews.(AH)
39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!”(AI)
40 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”(AJ)
42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[d]”(AK)
43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”(AL)
The Death of Jesus(AM)
44 It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon,(AN) 45 for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple(AO) was torn in two.(AP) 46 Jesus called out with a loud voice,(AQ) “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”[e](AR) When he had said this, he breathed his last.(AS)
47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God(AT) and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.” 48 When all the people who had gathered to witness this sight saw what took place, they beat their breasts(AU) and went away. 49 But all those who knew him, including the women who had followed him from Galilee,(AV) stood at a distance,(AW) watching these things.
The Burial of Jesus(AX)
50 Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man, 51 who had not consented to their decision and action. He came from the Judean town of Arimathea, and he himself was waiting for the kingdom of God.(AY) 52 Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body. 53 Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid. 54 It was Preparation Day,(AZ) and the Sabbath was about to begin.
55 The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee(BA) followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. 56 Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes.(BB) But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.(BC)

5 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.
6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.
7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.
8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.
9 Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.
10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.
11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.
12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.
13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
14 Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:
15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.
16 I will therefore chastise him, and release him.
17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)
18 And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:
19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)
20 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.
21 But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.
22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.
23 And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.
24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.
25 And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.
27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.
28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.
30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
32 And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.
33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
37 And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.
38 And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, This Is The King Of The Jews.
39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
47 Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
48 And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.
49 And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.
50 And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:
51 (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.
52 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.
54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
