Žalmy 50
Bible 21
50 Žalm Asafův.
Hospodin, Bůh bohů, promlouvá,
celou zem svolává
od slunce východu až tam, kde zapadá.
2 Ze Sionu v plné kráse
sám Bůh skvěje se.
3 Přichází náš Bůh, nebude mlčet;
před ním jde oheň, všechno stravuje,
kolem něj prudká vichřice!
4 Svolává shůry nebesa i zem,
jeho lid aby stanul před soudem:
5 „Shromážděte mi moje ctitele,
ty, kteří skrze oběť jsou se mnou ve smlouvě!“
6 Jeho spravedlnost nebesa zvěstují,
vždyť Bůh je soudce – on jediný! séla
7 „Slyš, lide můj, a promluvím,
slyš, Izraeli, já tě usvědčím:
Já, Bůh, jsem přece Bohem tvým!
8 Kvůli tvým obětem tě neviním,
tvé zápaly mi nikdy nechybí.
9 Nechci však býka z chlévů tvých,
nechci kozlíky z tvé ohrady!
10 Všechna zvěř v lese přece patří mi,
také dobytek na horách nesčetných.
11 Znám všechny ptáky v nebesích, [a]
divoké šelmy jsou mým vlastnictvím.
12 Nepožádám tě, i kdybych hladověl –
mně patří svět i všechno v něm!
13 Cožpak se živím masem hovězím,
cožpak ho krví kozlů zapíjím?
14 Přinášej Bohu oběť vděčnosti,
své sliby plň před Nejvyšším.
15 Volej mě v den svého soužení,
vysvobodím tě a ty mě oslavíš!“
16 Darebáka však Bůh takto osloví:
„K čemu odříkáváš moje zákony,
mou smlouvu do úst proč bereš si?
17 Vždyť přece nechceš dát se poučit,
má slova za hlavu jsi zahodil.
18 Vidíš-li zloděje, přátelíš se s ním,
s cizoložníky ses ztotožnil!
19 Svá ústa poskytuješ slovům zlým,
tvůj jazyk spřádá úskoky.
20 Sedíš si a bratra hanobíš,
syna své matky ostouzíš.
21 Kdybych dál mlčel nad tím, co provádíš,
pomyslel by sis, že jsem ti podobný.
Proto tě nyní obviním,
před tvýma očima tě napravím!
22 Kdo Boha pomíjíte, toto pochopte:
Když já vás napadnu, kdo vám pomůže?
23 Kdo přináší oběť vděčnosti, ten mě ctí;
kdo svoje cesty napraví,
tomu ukážu Boží spasení!“
