Exodus 28:36-38

New International Version

³⁶“Make a plate^(A) of pure gold and engrave on it as on a seal: holy to the Lord.^(B) ³⁷Fasten a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban; it is to be on the front of the turban. ³⁸It will be on Aaron’s forehead, and he will bear the guilt^(C) involved in the sacred gifts the Israelites consecrate, whatever their gifts may be. It will be on Aaron’s forehead continually so that they will be acceptable^(D) to the Lord.

HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

³⁷And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban. ³⁸So it shall be on Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may ^(B)bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their ^[a]holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be ^(C)accepted before the Lord.
