But the magicians did the same things by their secret arts;(A) they also made frogs come up on the land of Egypt.

Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray(B) to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices(C) to the Lord.”

Moses said to Pharaoh, “I leave to you the honor of setting the time(D) for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile.”

(A)And the magicians did so with their [a]enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt.

Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, (B)“Entreat[b] the Lord that He may take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people (C)go, that they may sacrifice to the Lord.”

And Moses said to Pharaoh, “Accept the honor of saying when I shall intercede for you, for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, that they may remain in the river only.”
