39 ¶ y del cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, hicieron las vestimentas del ministerio para ministrar en el santuario, y asimismo hicieron las santas vestiduras para Aarón; como el SEÑOR lo había mandado a Moisés.
2 Hizo también el efod de oro, de cárdeno y púrpura y carmesí, y lino torcido.
3 Y extendieron las planchas de oro, y cortaron hilos para tejerlos entre el cárdeno, y entre la púrpura, y entre el carmesí, y entre el lino, con delicada obra.
4 Hicieron las hombreras que se juntaran; y se unían en sus dos lados.
5 Y el cinto especial del efod que estaba sobre él, era de lo mismo, conforme a su obra; de oro, cárdeno, púrpura, carmesí, y lino torcido; como el SEÑOR lo había mandado a Moisés.
6 Y labraron las piedras de ónice montadas en engastes de oro, grabadas de grabadura de sello con los nombres de los hijos de Israel.
7 Y las puso sobre las hombreras del efod, por piedras de memoria a los hijos de Israel; como el SEÑOR lo había mandado a Moisés.
8 Hizo también el pectoral de primorosa obra, como la obra del efod, de oro, cárdeno, púrpura, carmesí, y lino torcido.
9 Era cuadrado; doblado hicieron el pectoral; su longitud era de un palmo, y de un palmo su anchura, doblado.
10 Y engastaron en él cuatro órdenes de piedras. El orden era un rubí, una esmeralda, y una crisólita; éste era el primer orden.
11 El segundo orden, un carbunclo, un zafiro, y un diamante.
12 El tercer orden, un topacio, una turquesa, y una amatista.
13 Y el cuarto orden, un tarsis (o berilo), un ónice, y un jaspe; cercadas y encajadas en sus engastes de oro.
14 Las piedras eran conforme a los nombres de los hijos de Israel, doce conforme a los nombres de ellos; como grabaduras de sello, cada una conforme a su nombre según las doce tribus.
15 Hicieron también sobre el pectoral las cadenillas de hechura de trenza, de oro puro.
16 Hicieron asimismo los dos engastes y los dos anillos, de oro; y pusieron los dos anillos de oro en los dos extremos del pectoral.
17 Y pusieron las dos trenzas de oro en aquellos dos anillos en los extremos del pectoral.
18 Y fijaron los dos extremos de las dos trenzas en los dos engastes, que pusieron sobre las hombreras del efod, en la parte delantera de él.
19 E hicieron dos anillos de oro, que pusieron en los dos extremos del pectoral, en su orilla, en la parte baja del efod.
20 Hicieron además dos anillos de oro, los cuales pusieron en las dos orillas del efod, abajo en la parte delantera, delante de su juntura, sobre el cinto especial del efod.
21 Y ataron el pectoral de sus anillos a los anillos del efod con un cordón de cárdeno, para que estuviera sobre el cinto especial del mismo efod, y no se separara el pectoral del efod; como el SEÑOR lo había mandado a Moisés.
22 Hizo también el manto del efod de obra de tejedor, todo de cárdeno.
23 Con su collar en medio del manto, como el collar de un coselete, con un borde alrededor del collar, para que no se rompiera.
24 E hicieron en las orillas del manto las granadas de cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido.
25 Hicieron también las campanillas de oro puro, las campanillas las pusieron entre las granadas por las orillas del manto alrededor entre las granadas:
26 Una campanilla y una granada, una campanilla y una granada alrededor, en las orillas del manto, para ministrar; como el SEÑOR lo mandó a Moisés.
27 E hicieron las túnicas de lino fino de obra de tejedor, para Aarón y para sus hijos;
28 asimismo la mitra de lino fino, y los adornos de los chapeos tiaras de lino fino, y los calzoncillos de lino, de lino torcido;
29 también el cinto de lino torcido, de cárdeno, púrpura, y carmesí, de obra de recamador; como el SEÑOR lo mandó a Moisés.
30 También hicieron la flor abierta, la corona de la santidad, de oro puro, y escribieron en ella de grabadura de sello, el rótulo, SANTIDAD AL SEÑOR.
31 Y pusieron en ella un cordón de cárdeno, para colocarla sobre la mitra, por arriba; como el SEÑOR lo había mandado a Moisés.
32 ¶ Y fue acabada toda la obra del tabernáculo, del tabernáculo del testimonio; e hicieron los hijos de Israel como el SEÑOR lo había mandado a Moisés; así lo hicieron.
33 Y trajeron el tabernáculo a Moisés, el tabernáculo y todos sus vasos; sus corchetes, sus tablas, sus barras, y sus columnas, y sus basas;
34 y la cubierta de pieles rojas de carneros, y la cubierta de pieles de tejones, y el velo de la cortina.
35 El arca del testimonio, y sus varas, y el asiento de la reconciliación.
36 La mesa, todos sus vasos, y el pan de la proposición.
37 El candelero limpio, sus lámparas, las lámparas de la ordenanza, y todos sus vasos, y el aceite para el alumbrado.
38 Y el altar de oro, y el aceite de la unción, y el incienso aromático, y la cortina para la puerta del tabernáculo.
39 El altar de bronce, con su enrejado de bronce, sus varas, y todos sus vasos; y la fuente, y su basa.
40 Las cortinas del atrio, y sus columnas, y sus basas, y la cortina para la puerta del atrio, y sus cuerdas, y sus estacas, y todos los vasos del servicio del tabernáculo, del tabernáculo del testimonio.
41 Las vestimentas del servicio para ministrar en el santuario, las santas vestiduras para Aarón el sacerdote, y las vestiduras de sus hijos, para ministrar en el sacerdocio.
42 En conformidad a todas las cosas que el SEÑOR había mandado a Moisés, así hicieron los hijos de Israel toda la obra.

Las vestiduras sacerdotales
39 Las vestiduras tejidas para ministrar en el santuario se hicieron de lana teñida de color azul, carmesí y escarlata. También se confeccionaron vestiduras sagradas para Aarón, como se lo mandó el Señor a Moisés.
El efod(A)
2 El efod lo hizo Bezalel de oro, lana color azul, carmesí, escarlata y tela de lino fino. 3 Martillaron finas láminas de oro, y las cortaron en hebras para entretejerlas artísticamente con la lana color azul, carmesí, escarlata y la tela de lino. 4 Se hicieron hombreras con cintas para el efod, las cuales se sujetaron a sus dos extremos. 5 El cinturón bordado con el que se sujeta el efod fue hecho del mismo material; es decir, de oro, lana color azul, carmesí, escarlata y tela de lino fino, como se lo mandó el Señor a Moisés.
6 Las piedras de ónice se engarzaron en los engastes de filigrana de oro, y en ellas se grabaron, a manera de sello, los nombres de los hijos de Israel. 7 Luego las sujetaron a las hombreras del efod para recordar a los hijos de Israel, como se lo mandó el Señor a Moisés.
El pectoral(B)
8 Bezalel hizo también el pectoral, bordado artísticamente, con hilo de oro, lana teñida de color azul, carmesí, escarlata y tela de lino fino, tal como hizo con el efod. 9 Será doble y cuadrado, de un palmo de largo por uno de ancho.[a] 10 Engarzaron en él cuatro hileras de piedras preciosas. En la primera hilera pusieron un rubí, un crisólito y una esmeralda; 11 en la segunda, una turquesa, un zafiro y un jade; 12 en la tercera, un jacinto, un ágata y una amatista; 13 en la cuarta, un topacio, un ónice y un jaspe.[b] Estaban engarzadas en engastes de filigrana de oro; 14 y eran doce piedras, una por cada uno de los hijos de Israel. Cada una llevaba grabada como un sello el nombre de una de las doce tribus.
15 Para el pectoral se hicieron cadenillas de oro puro en forma de cordón. 16 Se hicieron dos engastes en filigrana de oro y dos anillos de oro, y se sujetaron los anillos en los dos extremos del pectoral; 17 luego se sujetaron las dos cadenillas de oro a los anillos de los extremos del pectoral, 18 y los otros dos extremos de las cadenillas a los dos engastes, para fijarlos por la parte delantera a las hombreras del efod. 19 Se hicieron otros dos anillos de oro y los fijaron a los otros dos extremos del pectoral, en el borde interior, junto al efod. 20 Además, se hicieron dos anillos más, también de oro, para fijarlos por el frente del efod, pero por debajo de las hombreras, cerca de la costura que va justamente arriba del cinturón. 21 Los anillos del pectoral los sujetaron con un cordón color azul, a fin de unir el pectoral al cinturón para que no se desprendiera del efod, como se lo mandó el Señor a Moisés.
Otras vestiduras sacerdotales(C)
22 Bezalel hizo de lana color azul, y tejido artísticamente, todo el manto del efod. 23 Lo hizo con una abertura en el centro, como abertura para la cabeza,[c] y con un refuerzo alrededor de la abertura, para que no se desgarre. 24 En todo el borde inferior del manto se hicieron granadas de lana color azul, carmesí y escarlata, y de tela de lino fino, 25 lo mismo que campanillas de oro puro, las cuales se colocaron en todo el borde inferior, entre las granadas. 26 Las campanillas y las granadas se colocaron, en forma alternada, en todo el borde inferior del manto que debía llevarse para ejercer el ministerio, como se lo mandó el Señor a Moisés.
27 Para Aarón y sus hijos se hicieron túnicas de tela de lino tejidas artísticamente, 28 las mitras y el turbante de tela de lino y la ropa interior de tela de lino fino. 29 La faja era de tela de lino fino y de lana teñida de color azul, carmesí y escarlata, recamada artísticamente, como se lo mandó el Señor a Moisés.
30 La placa sagrada se hizo de oro puro y se grabó en ella, a manera de sello:
consagrado al Señor.
31 Luego se sujetó al turbante con un cordón color azul, como se lo mandó el Señor a Moisés.
Moisés inspecciona el santuario(D)
32 Toda la obra del santuario, es decir, la Tienda de reunión, quedó terminada. Los israelitas lo hicieron todo tal y como el Señor se lo mandó a Moisés. 33 Ellos mostraron a Moisés el santuario:
la tienda y todos sus utensilios, sus ganchos, tablones, travesaños, postes y bases;
34 el toldo de pieles de carnero teñidas de rojo, el toldo de pieles finas y la cortina que resguardaba el arca;
35 el arca con las tablas del pacto, con sus varas y la tapa;
36 la mesa con todos sus utensilios y el pan de la Presencia.
37 Además le presentaron el candelabro de oro puro con su hilera de lámparas y todos sus utensilios, junto con el aceite para el alumbrado;
38 el altar de oro, el aceite de la unción, el incienso aromático y la cortina para la entrada de la tienda;
39 el altar de bronce con su enrejado de bronce, sus varas y todos sus utensilios;
el recipiente de bronce con su pedestal;
40 las cortinas del atrio con sus postes y bases, la cortina para la entrada del atrio;
las cuerdas y las estacas del toldo para el atrio.
Le llevaron todos los utensilios para el santuario, la Tienda de reunión;
41 y las vestiduras tejidas para ministrar en el santuario, tanto las vestiduras sagradas para el sacerdote Aarón como las vestiduras sacerdotales para sus hijos.

The Making of the Priestly Garments
39 From the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn they made woven garments for serving in the sanctuary; they made holy garments that were for Aaron, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.[a]
The Ephod
2 He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet yarn, and fine twisted linen. 3 They hammered the gold into thin sheets and cut it into narrow strips to weave[b] them into the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and into the fine linen, the work of an artistic designer. 4 They made shoulder pieces for it, attached to two of its corners, so it could be joined together. 5 The artistically woven waistband of the ephod that was on it was like it, of one piece with it,[c] of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twisted linen, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
6 They set the onyx stones in gold filigree settings, engraved as with the engravings of a seal[d] with the names of the sons of Israel.[e] 7 He put[f] them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as stones of memorial for the Israelites, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
The Breastpiece of Decision
8 He made the breastpiece, the work of an artistic designer, in the same fashion as the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine twisted linen. 9 It was square—they made the breastpiece doubled, nine inches long and nine inches wide when doubled. 10 They set on it[g] four rows of stones: a row with a ruby, a topaz, and a beryl—the first row; 11 and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald; 12 and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 13 and the fourth row, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in gold filigree settings. 14 The stones were for the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, corresponding to the number of[h] their names. Each name corresponding to one of the twelve tribes was like the engravings of a seal.
15 They made for the breastpiece braided chains like cords of pure gold, 16 and they made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and they attached the two rings to the upper[i] two ends of the breastpiece. 17 They attached the two gold chains to the two rings at the ends of the breastpiece; 18 the other[j] two ends of the two chains they attached to the two settings, and they attached them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front of it. 19 They made two rings of gold and put them on the other[k] two ends of the breastpiece on its edge, which is on the inner side of the ephod.[l] 20 They made two more[m] gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the two shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the juncture above the waistband of the ephod. 21 They tied the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod by blue cord, so that it was above the waistband of the ephod, so that the breastpiece would not be loose from the ephod, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
The Other Garments
22 He made the robe of the ephod completely blue, the work of a weaver. 23 There was an opening in the center of the robe, like the opening of a collar,[n] with an edge all around the opening so that it could not be torn. 24 They made pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and twisted linen[o] around the hem of the robe. 25 They made bells of pure gold and attached the bells between the pomegranates around the hem of the robe between the pomegranates. 26 There was[p] a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe, to be used in ministering,[q] just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
27 They made tunics of fine linen—the work of a weaver, for Aaron and for his sons— 28 and the turban of fine linen, the headbands of fine linen, and the undergarments of fine twisted linen. 29 The sash was of fine twisted linen and blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, the work of an embroiderer, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 30 They made a plate, the holy diadem, of pure gold and wrote on it an inscription, as on the engravings of a seal, “Holiness to the Lord.” 31 They attached to it a blue cord to attach it to the turban above, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Moses Inspects the Tabernacle
32 [r] So all the work of the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, was completed, and the Israelites did according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses—they did it exactly so. 33 They brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its furnishings, clasps, frames, bars, posts, and bases; 34 and the coverings of ram skins dyed red, the covering of fine leather,[s] and the protecting[t] curtain; 35 the ark of the testimony and its poles, and the atonement lid; 36 the table, all its utensils, and the Bread of the Presence; 37 the pure[u] lampstand, its lamps, with the lamps set in order, and all its accessories, and oil for the light; 38 and the gold altar, and the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense; and the curtain for the entrance to the tent; 39 the bronze altar and its bronze grating, its poles, and all its utensils; the large basin with its pedestal; 40 the hangings of the courtyard, its posts and its bases, and the curtain for the gateway of the courtyard, its ropes and its tent pegs, and all the furnishings[v] for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting; 41 the woven garments for serving[w] in the sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments for his sons to minister as priests.
42 The Israelites did all the work according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses. 43 Moses inspected[x] all the work, and[y] they had done it just as the Lord had commanded—they had done it exactly—and Moses blessed them.[z]
