Las vestiduras sacerdotales
28 Entonces harás que se acerque a ti, de entre los hijos de Israel, tu hermano Aarón(A), y con él sus hijos, para que me sirvan como sacerdotes: Aarón, con Nadab y Abiú(B), Eleazar e Itamar, hijos de Aarón. 2 (C)Y harás vestiduras sagradas para tu hermano Aarón, para gloria y para hermosura. 3 Y hablarás a todos los hábiles artífices[a], a quienes yo he llenado de espíritu de sabiduría(D), y ellos harán las vestiduras de Aarón para consagrarlo, a fin de que me sirva como sacerdote(E). 4 (F)Estas son las vestiduras que harán: un pectoral[b], un efod, un manto, una túnica tejida a cuadros, una tiara y un cinturón; y harán vestiduras sagradas para tu hermano Aarón y para sus hijos, a fin de que me sirvan como sacerdotes. 5 Y tomarán para ello el oro(G) y la tela azul[c], púrpura y escarlata, y el lino fino.
6 (H)Harán también el efod de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido, obra de hábil artífice. 7 Tendrá dos hombreras que se junten a sus dos extremos, para que se pueda unir. 8 Y el cinto hábilmente tejido que estará sobre él, será de la misma obra, del mismo material[d]: de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido. 9 Y tomarás dos piedras de ónice, y grabarás en ellas los nombres de los hijos de Israel: 10 seis de los nombres en una piedra, y los seis nombres restantes en la otra[e] piedra, según el orden de su nacimiento. 11 Así como un joyero graba un sello[f], tú grabarás las dos piedras con los nombres de los hijos de Israel; las engastarás en filigrana de oro. 12 Y pondrás las dos piedras en las hombreras del efod, como piedras memoriales para los hijos de Israel, y Aarón llevará sus nombres delante del Señor sobre sus dos hombros por memorial(I). 13 Harás engastes de filigrana de oro(J), 14 y dos cadenillas de oro puro; las harás en forma[g] de cordones trenzados, y pondrás las cadenillas trenzadas en los engastes de filigrana.
15 (K)Y harás el pectoral del juicio, obra de hábil artífice; lo harás como la obra del efod: de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido lo harás. 16 Será cuadrado y doble[h], de un palmo de largo y un palmo de ancho. 17 Y montarás en él cuatro[i] hileras de piedras. La primera hilera será una hilera de un rubí, un topacio y una esmeralda; 18 la segunda hilera, una turquesa, un zafiro y un diamante; 19 la tercera hilera, un jacinto, una ágata y una amatista; 20 y la cuarta hilera, un berilo, un ónice y un jaspe; todas estarán engastadas en filigrana de oro[j]. 21 Las piedras serán doce, según los nombres de los hijos de Israel, conforme a sus nombres; serán como las grabaduras de un sello, cada uno según su nombre para las doce tribus(L). 22 Y harás en el pectoral cadenillas de oro puro en forma[k] de cordones trenzados. 23 Harás también en el pectoral dos anillos de oro, y colocarás los dos anillos en los dos extremos del pectoral. 24 Pondrás los dos cordones de oro en los dos anillos en los extremos del pectoral. 25 Y colocarás los otros dos extremos de los dos cordones en los engastes de filigrana, y los fijarás[l] en las hombreras del efod, en su parte delantera. 26 Harás otros dos anillos de oro y los pondrás en los dos extremos del pectoral, en el borde que da al lado interior del efod. 27 Y harás otros dos anillos de oro y los pondrás en la parte inferior de las dos hombreras del efod, en la parte delantera, cerca de su unión sobre el cinto tejido del efod. 28 Atarán el pectoral por sus anillos a los anillos del efod con un cordón azul, para que esté sobre el cinto tejido del efod, y para que el pectoral no se desprenda del efod. 29 Y Aarón llevará los nombres de los hijos de Israel en el pectoral del juicio sobre su corazón cuando entre en el lugar santo, continuamente por memorial delante del Señor. 30 Pondrás en el pectoral del juicio el Urim y el Tumim[m](M), y estarán sobre el corazón de Aarón cuando entre a la presencia del Señor; y Aarón llevará continuamente el juicio de los hijos de Israel sobre su corazón delante del Señor(N).
31 (O)Harás asimismo el manto del efod todo de tela azul. 32 Y habrá una abertura en el medio de su parte superior[n]; alrededor de la abertura habrá una orla tejida, como la abertura de una cota de malla, para que no se rompa. 33 Y harás en su borde inferior granadas de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata alrededor en todo su borde, y entre ellas, también alrededor, campanillas de oro: 34 una campanilla de oro y una granada, otra[o] campanilla de oro y otra[p] granada, y así alrededor de todo el borde del manto. 35 Y estará sobre Aarón cuando ministre[q]; y el tintineo[r] se oirá cuando entre en el lugar santo delante del Señor, y cuando salga, para que no muera.
36 (P)Harás también una lámina de oro puro, y grabarás en ella, como las grabaduras de un sello: «Santidad[s] al Señor(Q)». 37 La fijarás[t] en un cordón azul, y estará sobre la tiara; estará en la parte delantera de la tiara. 38 Y estará sobre la frente de Aarón, y Aarón quitará[u] la iniquidad de las cosas sagradas que los hijos de Israel consagren en todas sus ofrendas santas; y la lámina estará siempre sobre su frente, para que sean aceptas delante del Señor(R). 39 (S)Tejerás a cuadros la túnica de lino fino, y harás una tiara de lino fino; harás también un cinturón, obra de un tejedor[v].
40 Para los hijos de Aarón harás túnicas, también les harás cinturones(T), y les harás mitras(U), para gloria y hermosura. 41 Y vestirás con ellos a tu hermano Aarón y a sus hijos con él; y los ungirás y ordenarás[w] y consagrarás para que me sirvan como sacerdotes(V). 42 Les harás calzoncillos de lino para cubrir su desnudez; llegarán[x] desde los lomos(W) hasta los muslos. 43 Y los llevarán puestos[y] Aarón y sus hijos cuando entren en la tienda de reunión, o cuando se acerquen al altar para ministrar en el lugar santo(X), para que no incurran en culpa[z] y mueran. Será estatuto perpetuo para él y para su descendencia[aa] después de él(Y).

Ornamentos sacerdotales (Ex 39,1-31)
28 De entre todos los israelitas, elige a tu hermano Aarón y a sus hijos Nadab, Abihú, Eleazar e Itamar para que sean mis sacerdotes. 2 Harás vestiduras sagradas para Aarón, tu hermano, que muestren el honor y la dignidad de su función sacerdotal. 3 Recurre a los artesanos más competentes, a los que yo he dotado de especial habilidad, para que confeccionen las vestiduras que Aarón llevará cuando sea consagrado como sacerdote mío. 4 Confeccionarán las siguientes vestiduras: un pectoral, un efod, un manto, una túnica bordada, un turbante y una faja. Estas vestiduras sagradas se confeccionarán para cuando tu hermano Aarón y sus hijos oficien como sacerdotes míos; 5 para elaborarlas usarán oro, púrpura violeta, escarlata y carmesí, y lino trenzado.
El efod
6 El efod será realizado por manos expertas que usarán oro, púrpura violeta, escarlata y carmesí, y lino fino trenzado. 7 Llevará dos tirantes, quedando unido por sus dos extremos. 8 El fajín para ajustar el efod formará una sola pieza con él y estará confeccionado de la misma forma y con los mismos materiales: oro, púrpura violeta, escarlata y carmesí, y lino fino trenzado.
9 Sobre dos piedras de ónice grabarás los nombres de las tribus israelitas, 10 en el orden en que nacieron: seis nombres en una piedra y los seis restantes en la otra. 11 El grabado de los nombres de las tribus israelitas sobre las dos piedras se hará como se graban los sellos. Después las engastarás en oro. 12 Y las pondrás sobre los tirantes del efod, como piedras que recuerden a los israelitas. Así, cada vez que Aarón se presente ante el Señor, llevará sus nombres sobre los tirantes como un recordatorio. 13 Harás, asimismo, unos engarces de oro 14 y también dos cadenas de oro puro, trenzadas como cordones, y las sujetarás a los engarces.
El pectoral (Ex 39,8-21)
15 El pectoral del dictamen será también realizado por manos expertas; será confeccionado con los mismos materiales que el efod: oro, púrpura violeta, escarlata y carmesí, y lino fino trenzado. 16 Será cuadrado y de paño doble, de veintidós centímetros por cada lado. 17 Le engastarás una guarnición de piedras dispuestas en cuatro hileras: en la primera fila colocarás un rubí, un topacio y una esmeralda; 18 en la segunda, una turquesa, un zafiro y un diamante; 19 en la tercera, un jacinto, una ágata y una amatista; 20 y en la cuarta, un crisólito, un ónice y un jaspe. Las piedras irán engastadas en oro; 21 en total serán doce, como el número de las tribus israelitas. En cada piedra se grabará, a la manera en que se hace en un sello, el nombre de una de las doce tribus.
22 Harás también para el pectoral unas cadenas de oro puro, trenzadas como cordones, 23 y dos argollas de oro que sujetarás en sus dos extremos. 24 Pasarás los extremos de los dos cordones de oro por las dos argollas superiores del pectoral, 25 y los otros dos extremos de los cordones los engancharás en los dos engarces que fijarás en la parte delantera de los tirantes del efod. 26 Harás, asimismo, dos argollas de oro y las sujetarás en los dos extremos inferiores del pectoral, sobre el borde interior, el que queda junto al efod. 27 Y harás otras dos argollas de oro, que fijarás en los tirantes del efod, por la parte inferior y delantera, o sea, cerca de la costura y encima del fajín del efod. 28 Así el pectoral se podrá sujetar haciendo pasar, entre sus argollas y las argollas del efod, un cordón de púrpura violeta para que el pectoral quede fijo sobre el fajín del efod y no se desprenda de él. 29 Cada vez que Aarón entre en el santuario, llevará sobre su pecho, en el pectoral del dictamen, los nombres de las tribus israelitas para mantener siempre vivo su recuerdo en presencia del Señor. 30 En el pectoral del dictamen pondrás también los Urín y los Tumín, para que estén sobre el pecho de Aarón cuando se presente delante del Señor. Así Aarón llevará constantemente sobre su pecho, en presencia del Señor, el dictamen de Dios acerca de los israelitas.
El manto (Ex 39,22-26)
31 Tejerás el manto del efod todo de púrpura violeta. 32 En el centro tendrá una abertura, como el cuello de un coselete, para que pueda pasar la cabeza; y alrededor de esa abertura tendrá un dobladillo para que no se rasgue. 33 El borde inferior del manto irá adornado con granadas de púrpura violeta, escarlata y carmesí, y alternando con ellas, cascabeles de oro: 34 un cascabel de oro y una granada; otro cascabel de oro y otra granada; así todo el borde inferior del manto. 35 Aarón vestirá el manto cuando oficie como sacerdote, y el tintineo de los cascabeles se escuchará cuando entre en el santuario ante el Señor, y cuando salga; de no llevarlo, moriría.
El turbante (Ex 39,30-31)
36 Además harás una placa de oro puro y, como se hace en los sellos, grabarás en ella las palabras: “Consagrado al Señor”. 37 La sujetarás con un cordón de púrpura violeta a la parte delantera del turbante. 38 Así estará sobre la frente de Aarón, y este se responsabilizará de cualquier falta que cometan los israelitas contra las cosas santas, al presentar sus ofrendas sagradas. La placa estará siempre sobre su frente para que sus ofrendas sean aceptadas por el Señor. 39 La túnica y el turbante serán tejidos de lino fino, y la faja estará artísticamente bordada.
El resto de las vestiduras (Ex 29,27)
40 Harás a los hijos de Aarón túnicas, fajas y turbantes que muestren el honor y la dignidad de su función sacerdotal.
41 Una vez revestidos, ungirás a tu hermano Aarón y a sus hijos, les conferirás autoridad y los consagrarás para que ejerzan mi sacerdocio. 42 Les harás también unos calzones de lino que los cubran de la cintura a los muslos, tapando así sus partes. 43 Aarón y sus hijos deberán usarlos cuando entren en la Tienda del encuentro o se acerquen al altar para oficiar como sacerdotes en el santuario. De no hacerlo incurrirán en culpa y morirán. Esta es una norma perpetua para Aarón y sus descendientes.

6 »El efod se bordará artísticamente con oro, púrpura, carmesí, escarlata y lino fino. 7 En sus dos extremos tendrá hombreras con cintas, para que pueda sujetarse. 8 El cinturón bordado con el que se sujeta el efod deberá ser del mismo material, es decir, de oro, púrpura, carmesí, escarlata y lino fino, y formará con el efod una sola pieza.
9 »Toma dos piedras de ónice y graba en ellas los nombres de los doce hijos de Israel 10 por orden de nacimiento, seis nombres en una piedra y seis en la otra. 11 Un joyero grabará los nombres en las dos piedras, como los orfebres graban sellos: engarzará las piedras en filigrana de oro 12 y las sujetará a las hombreras del efod. Así Aarón llevará en sus hombros los nombres de los hijos de Israel, para recordarlos ante el Señor. 13 Haz también engastes en filigrana de oro, 14 y dos cadenillas de oro puro, a manera de cordón, para fijar las cadenillas en los engastes.
El pectoral(B)
15 »El pectoral para impartir justicia lo bordarás artísticamente con oro, púrpura, carmesí, escarlata y lino fino, como hiciste con el efod. 16 Será doble y cuadrado, de veinte centímetros[a] de largo por veinte de ancho. 17 Engarzarás en él cuatro hileras de piedras preciosas. En la primera pondrás un rubí, un crisólito y una esmeralda; 18 en la segunda, una turquesa, un zafiro y un jade; 19 en la tercera, un jacinto, un ágata y una amatista, 20 y en la cuarta, un topacio, un ónice y un jaspe.[b] Engárzalas en filigrana de oro. 21 Deben ser doce piedras, una por cada uno de los doce hijos de Israel. Cada una de las piedras llevará grabada como un sello el nombre de una de las doce tribus.

26 »Haz otros dos anillos de oro, y fíjalos en los extremos del pectoral, en su borde interno cercano al efod. 27 Haz dos anillos más, también de oro, para fijarlos por el frente del efod, pero por debajo de las hombreras, cerca de la costura que va justamente arriba del cinturón. 28 Los anillos del pectoral deberán sujetarse a los anillos del efod con un cordón azul, trabándolo con el cinturón para que el pectoral y el efod queden unidos. 29 De este modo, siempre que Aarón entre en el Lugar Santo llevará sobre su corazón, en el pectoral para impartir justicia, los nombres de los hijos de Israel para recordarlos siempre ante el Señor. 30 Sobre el pectoral para impartir justicia pondrás el urim y el tumim. De esta manera, siempre que Aarón se presente ante el Señor, llevará en el pecho la causa de los israelitas.

31 »Haz de púrpura todo el manto del efod, 32 con una abertura en el centro para meter la cabeza. Alrededor de la abertura le pondrás un refuerzo, como el que se pone a los chalecos,[c] para que no se desgarre. 33 En torno al borde inferior del manto pondrás granadas de púrpura, carmesí y escarlata, alternándolas con campanillas de oro. 34 Por todo el borde del manto pondrás primero una campanilla y luego una granada. 35 Aarón debe llevar puesto el manto mientras esté ejerciendo su ministerio, para que el tintineo de las campanillas se oiga todo el tiempo que él esté ante el Señor en el Lugar Santo, y así él no muera.
36 »Haz una placa de oro puro, y graba en ella, a manera de sello: Santidad para el Señor. 37 Sujétala al turbante con un cordón púrpura, de modo que quede fija a este por la parte delantera. 38 Esta placa estará siempre sobre la frente de Aarón, para que el Señor acepte todas las ofrendas de los israelitas, ya que Aarón llevará sobre sí el pecado en que ellos incurran al dedicar sus ofrendas sagradas.
39 »La túnica y el turbante los harás de lino. El cinturón deberá estar recamado artísticamente. 40 A los hijos de Aarón les harás túnicas, cinturones y mitras, para conferirles honra y dignidad. 41 Una vez que hayas vestido a tu hermano Aarón y a sus hijos, los ungirás para conferirles autoridad[d] y consagrarlos como mis sacerdotes.
42 »Hazles también calzoncillos de lino que les cubran el cuerpo desde la cintura hasta el muslo. 43 Aarón y sus hijos deberán ponérselos siempre que entren en la Tienda de reunión, o cuando se acerquen al altar para ejercer su ministerio en el Lugar Santo, a fin de que no incurran en pecado y mueran. Esta es una ley perpetua para Aarón y sus descendientes.

4 “The garments they are to make are these: a breastplate, a ritual vest, a robe, a checkered tunic, a turban and a sash. They are to make holy garments for your brother Aharon and his sons, so that he can serve me in the office of cohen. 5 They are to use gold; blue, purple and scarlet yarn; and fine linen.
6 “They are to make the ritual vest of gold, of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely woven linen, crafted by a skilled artisan. 7 Attached to its front and back edges are to be two shoulder-pieces that can be fastened together. 8 Its decorated belt is to be of the same workmanship and materials — gold; blue, purple and scarlet yarn; and finely woven linen. 9 Take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Isra’el — 10 six of their names on one stone and the six remaining names on the other, in the order of their birth. 11 An engraver should engrave the names of the sons of Isra’el on the two stones as he would engrave a seal. Mount the stones in gold settings, 12 and put the two stones on the shoulder-pieces of the vest as stones calling to mind the sons of Isra’el. Aharon is to carry their names before Adonai on his two shoulders as a reminder.
(ii) 13 “Make gold squares 14 and two chains of pure gold, twisted like cords; attach the cord-like chains to the squares.
15 “Make a breastplate for judging. Have it crafted by a skilled artisan; make it like the work of the ritual vest — make it of gold; blue, purple and scarlet yarn; and finely woven linen. 16 When folded double it is to be square — a hand-span by a hand-span. 17 Put in it settings of stones, four rows of stones: the first row is to be a carnelian, a topaz and an emerald; 18 the second row a green feldspar, a sapphire and a diamond; 19 the third row an orange zircon, an agate and an amethyst; 20 and the fourth row a beryl, an onyx and a jasper. They are to be mounted in their gold settings. 21 The stones will correspond to the names of the twelve sons of Isra’el; they are to be engraved with their names as a seal would be engraved, to represent the twelve tribes.
22 “On the breastplate, make two pure gold chains twisted like cords. 23 Also for the breastplate, make two gold rings; and put the gold rings on the two ends of the breastplate. 24 Put the two twisted gold chains in the two rings at the two ends of the breastplate; 25 attach the other two ends of the twisted chains to the front of the shoulder-pieces of the ritual vest. 26 Make two gold rings and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, at its edge, on the side facing in toward the vest. 27 Also make two gold rings and attach them low on the front part of the vest’s shoulder-pieces, near the join, above the vest’s decorated belt. 28 Then bind the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the vest with a blue cord, so that it can be on the vest’s decorated belt, and so that the breastplate won’t swing loose from the vest. 29 Aharon will carry the names of the sons of Isra’el on the breastplate for judging, over his heart, when he enters the Holy Place, as a continual reminder before Adonai. 30 You are to put the urim and the tumim in the breastplate for judging; they will be over Aharon’s heart when he goes into the presence of Adonai. Thus Aharon will always have the means for making decisions for the people of Isra’el over his heart when he is in the presence of Adonai.
(iii) 31 “You are to make the robe for the ritual vest entirely of blue. 32 It is to have an opening for the head in the middle. Around the opening is to be a border woven like the neck of a coat of mail, so that it won’t tear. 33 On its bottom hem make pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet; and put them all the way around, with gold bells between them all the way around — 34 gold bell, pomegranate, gold bell, pomegranate, all the way around the hem of the robe. 35 Aharon is to wear it when he ministers, and its sound will be heard whenever he enters the Holy Place before Adonai and when he leaves, so that he won’t die.
36 “You are to make an ornament of pure gold and engrave on it as on a seal, ‘Set apart for Adonai.’ 37 Fasten it to the turban with a blue cord, on the front of the turban, 38 over Aharon’s forehead. Because Aharon bears the guilt for any errors committed by the people of Isra’el in consecrating their holy gifts, this ornament is always to be on his forehead, so that the gifts for Adonai will be accepted by him.
39 “You are to weave the checkered tunic of fine linen, make a turban of fine linen, and make a belt, the work of a weaver in colors. 40 Likewise for Aharon’s sons make tunics, sashes and headgear expressing dignity and splendor. 41 With them clothe your brother Aharon and his sons. Then anoint them, inaugurate them, and consecrate them, so that they will be able to serve me in the office of cohen. 42 Also make for them linen shorts reaching from waist to thigh, to cover their bare flesh. 43 Aharon and his sons are to wear them when they go into the tent of meeting and when they approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they won’t incur guilt and die. This is to be a perpetual regulation, both for him and for his descendants.

3 And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
4 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
5 And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.
6 And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.
7 It shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.
8 And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9 And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:
10 Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.
11 With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.
12 And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord upon his two shoulders for a memorial.
13 And thou shalt make ouches of gold;
14 And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of wreathen work shalt thou make them, and fasten the wreathen chains to the ouches.
15 And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.
16 Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.
17 And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.
18 And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
19 And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.
20 And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.
21 And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.
22 And thou shalt make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of wreathen work of pure gold.
23 And thou shalt make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
24 And thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breastplate.
25 And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt fasten in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod before it.
26 And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.
27 And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
28 And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.
29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the Lord continually.
30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the Lord: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the Lord continually.
31 And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
32 And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent.
33 And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:
34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.
35 And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the Lord, and when he cometh out, that he die not.
36 And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, Holiness To The Lord.
37 And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.
38 And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.
39 And thou shalt embroider the coat of fine linen, and thou shalt make the mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make the girdle of needlework.
40 And for Aaron's sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.
41 And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.
42 And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:
43 And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
