¹⁸ Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.^{(A) 19} Go, therefore, and make disciples^(B) of^[a] all nations,^(C) baptizing^(D) them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember,^[b] I am with you always,^[c] to the end of the age.”^(E)

²¹ Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me,^(A) I also send you.”^(B)

⁴⁶ He also said to them, “This is what is written:^[a] The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead the third day,^{(A) 47} and repentance for^[b] forgiveness of sins^(B) will be proclaimed in his name to all the nations,^(C) beginning at Jerusalem.^{(D) 48} You are witnesses^(E) of these things. ⁴⁹ And look, I am sending you^[c] what my Father promised.^(F) As for you, stay in the city^[d] until you are empowered^[e](G) from on high.”

² He told them,^(A) “The harvest^(B) is abundant, but the workers^(C) are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.^(D)

¹⁹ So, then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household,

¹⁴ For all those led by God’s Spirit^(A) are God’s sons.^{(B) 15} For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear.^(C) Instead, you received the Spirit of adoption,^(D) by whom we cry out, “Abba,^[a] Father!” ^{(E) 16} The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit^(F) that we are God’s children, ¹⁷ and if children, also heirs^(G)—heirs of God and coheirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with him^(H) so that we may also be glorified with him.
