¹² so that we who had already put our hope^(A) in Christ might bring praise to his glory.^(B)

¹⁴ The Holy Spirit is the down payment^(A) of our inheritance, until the redemption of the possession, to the praise of his glory.

¹² giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you^[a] to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light.^(A)

³ and there will no longer be any curse.^(A) The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him. ⁴ They will see his face,^(B) and his name will be on their foreheads.^(C)

² Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed.^(A) We know that when he appears,^[a] we will be like him^(B) because we will see him as he is.^(C)
