Deuteronomy 32:13-18
New American Standard Bible
13 (A)He had him ride on the high places of the earth,
And he ate the produce of the field;
(B)And He had him suck honey from the rock,
And [a](C)oil from the flinty rock,
14 Curds of the herd, and milk of the flock,
With fat of lambs
And rams, the breed of Bashan, and of goats,
(D)With the best of the wheat;
And you drank wine of the (E)blood of grapes.
15 “(F)But [b]Jeshurun became fat and kicked—
You have become fat, thick, and obstinate—
(G)Then he abandoned God (H)who made him,
And [c]rejected (I)the Rock of his salvation.
16 (J)They made Him jealous with strange gods;
(K)With abominations they provoked Him to anger.
17 (L)They sacrificed to demons, who were not God,
(M)To gods whom they have not known,
(N)New gods who came lately,
Whom your fathers did not know.
18 You forgot (O)the Rock who fathered you,
(P)And forgot the God who gave you birth.

13 (A)He made him ride on the high places of the land,
and he ate the produce of the field,
and he suckled him with (B)honey out of the rock,
and (C)oil out of (D)the flinty rock.
14 Curds from the herd, and milk from the flock,
with fat[a] of lambs,
rams of Bashan and goats,
with the very finest[b] of the wheat—
and you drank foaming wine made from (E)the blood of the grape.
15 “But (F)Jeshurun grew fat, and (G)kicked;
(H)you grew fat, stout, and sleek;
(I)then he forsook God (J)who made him
and scoffed at (K)the Rock of his salvation.
16 (L)They stirred him to jealousy with strange gods;
with abominations they provoked him to anger.
17 (M)They sacrificed to demons that were not God,
to gods they had never known,
to (N)new gods that had come recently,
whom your fathers had never dreaded.
18 You were unmindful of (O)the Rock that bore[c] you,
and you (P)forgot the God who gave you birth.
