Psalm 22:7-19
New International Version
7 All who see me mock me;(A)
they hurl insults,(B) shaking their heads.(C)
8 “He trusts in the Lord,” they say,
“let the Lord rescue him.(D)
Let him deliver him,(E)
since he delights(F) in him.”
9 Yet you brought me out of the womb;(G)
you made me trust(H) in you, even at my mother’s breast.
10 From birth(I) I was cast on you;
from my mother’s womb you have been my God.
12 Many bulls(M) surround me;(N)
strong bulls of Bashan(O) encircle me.
13 Roaring lions(P) that tear their prey(Q)
open their mouths wide(R) against me.
14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.(S)
My heart has turned to wax;(T)
it has melted(U) within me.
15 My mouth[a] is dried up like a potsherd,(V)
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;(W)
you lay me in the dust(X) of death.
