Psalm 119:105-112

¹⁰⁵Your word is a lamp^(A) for my feet,
    a light^(B) on my path.
¹⁰⁶I have taken an oath^(C) and confirmed it,
    that I will follow your righteous laws.^(D)
¹⁰⁷I have suffered much;
    preserve my life,^(E) Lord, according to your word.
¹⁰⁸Accept, Lord, the willing praise of my mouth,^(F)
    and teach me your laws.^(G)
¹⁰⁹Though I constantly take my life in my hands,^(H)
    I will not forget^(I) your law.
¹¹⁰The wicked have set a snare^(J) for me,
    but I have not strayed^(K) from your precepts.
¹¹¹Your statutes are my heritage forever;
    they are the joy of my heart.^(L)
¹¹²My heart is set^(M) on keeping your decrees
    to the very end.^[a]^(N)

Isaiah 2:1-4

The Mountain of the Lord^(A)

2 This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:^(B)

²In the last days^(C)

the mountain^(D) of the Lord’s temple will be established
as the highest of the mountains;^(E)
it will be exalted^(F) above the hills,
and all nations will stream to it.^(G)

³Many peoples^(H) will come and say,

“Come, let us go^(I) up to the mountain^(J) of the Lord,
    to the temple of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
    so that we may walk in his paths.”
The law^(K) will go out from Zion,
    the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.^(L)
⁴He will judge^(M) between the nations
    and will settle disputes^(N) for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
    and their spears into pruning hooks.^(O)
Nation will not take up sword against nation,^(P)
    nor will they train for war anymore.

⁴⁴Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.^(A) ⁴⁵The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me.^(B) ⁴⁶I have come into the world as a light,^(C) so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.

⁴⁷“If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.^(D) ⁴⁸There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them^(E) at the last day. ⁴⁹For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me^(F) to say all that I have spoken. ⁵⁰I know that his command leads to eternal life.^(G) So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”^(H)
