¹¹“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?

¹¹The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

²⁰Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain,^(A) but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”^(B)

²¹“Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming^(C) when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.^(D)

²⁰Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

²¹Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
