Proverbs 4:18-27

¹⁸ But the ^(A)path of the righteous is like the ^(B)light of dawn
That ^(C)shines brighter and brighter until the ^(D)full day.
¹⁹ The ^(E)way of the wicked is like darkness;
They do not know over what they ^[a](F)stumble.

²⁰ My son, ^(G)pay attention to my words;
^(H)Incline your ear to my sayings.
^21 (I)They are not to escape from your sight;
^(J)Keep them in the midst of your heart.
²² For they are ^(K)life to those who find them,
And ^(L)healing to all ^[b]their body.
²³ Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For ^(M)from it flow the springs of life.
²⁴ Rid yourself of a ^(N)deceitful mouth
And ^(O)keep devious ^[c]speech far from you.
²⁵ Let your eyes look directly ahead
And let your ^[d]gaze be fixed straight in front of you.
^26 [e](P)Watch the path of your feet,
And all your ^(Q)ways will be established.
^27 (R)Do not turn to the right or to the left;
^(S)Turn your foot from evil.
