20 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the [a]Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “(A)Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for [b]the One who has been [c]conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bear a Son; and (B)you shall call His name Jesus, for [d]He (C)will save His people from their sins.” 22 Now all this [e]took place in order that what was (D)spoken by the [f]Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled, saying, 23 “(E)Behold, the virgin shall be with (F)child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name [g]Immanuel,” which translated means, “(G)God with us.”

13 Now when they had departed, behold, an (A)angel of the [a]Lord *(B)appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Get up! Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him.”
14 So [b]Joseph got up and took the Child and His mother while it was still night, and departed for Egypt.
