²⁵ Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!^(A)

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law,^(B) but in my sinful nature^[a] a slave to the law of sin.^(C)

Life Through the Spirit

8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation^(D) for those who are in Christ Jesus,^{(E) 2} because through Christ Jesus^(F) the law of the Spirit who gives life^(G) has set you^[b] free^(H) from the law of sin^(I) and death. ³ For what the law was powerless^(J) to do because it was weakened by the flesh,^[c](K) God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh^(L) to be a sin offering.^[d](M) And so he condemned sin in the flesh, ⁴ in order that the righteous requirement^(N) of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.^(O)
