14 安 息 日 ， 耶 穌 到 一 個 法 利 賽 人 的 首 領 家 裡 去 吃 飯 ， 他 們 就 窺 探 他 。
2 在 他 面 前 有 一 個 患 水 臌 的 人 。
3 耶 穌 對 律 法 師 和 法 利 賽 人 說 ： 安 息 日 治 病 ， 可 以 不 可 以 ？
4 他 們 卻 不 言 語 。 耶 穌 就 治 好 那 人 ， 叫 他 走 了 ；
5 便 對 他 們 說 ： 你 們 中 間 誰 有 驢 或 有 牛 ， 在 安 息 日 掉 在 井 裡 ， 不 立 時 拉 他 上 來 呢 ？
6 他 們 不 能 對 答 這 話 。
7 耶 穌 見 所 請 的 客 揀 擇 首 位 ， 就 用 比 喻 對 他 們 說 ：
8 你 被 人 請 去 赴 婚 姻 的 筵 席 ， 不 要 坐 在 首 位 上 ， 恐 怕 有 比 你 尊 貴 的 客 被 他 請 來 ；
9 那 請 你 們 的 人 前 來 對 你 說 ： 讓 座 給 這 一 位 罷 ！ 你 就 羞 羞 慚 慚 的 退 到 末 位 上 去 了 。
10 你 被 請 的 時 候 ， 就 去 坐 在 末 位 上 ， 好 叫 那 請 你 的 人 來 對 你 說 ： 朋 友 ， 請 上 坐 。 那 時 ， 你 在 同 席 的 人 面 前 就 有 光 彩 了 。
11 因 為 ， 凡 自 高 的 ， 必 降 為 卑 ， 自 卑 的 ， 必 升 為 高 。
12 耶 穌 又 對 請 他 的 人 說 ： 你 擺 設 午 飯 或 晚 飯 ， 不 要 請 你 的 朋 友 、 弟 兄 、 親 屬 ， 和 富 足 的 鄰 舍 ， 恐 怕 他 們 也 請 你 ， 你 就 得 了 報 答 。
13 你 擺 設 筵 席 ， 倒 要 請 那 貧 窮 的 、 殘 廢 的 、 瘸 腿 的 、 瞎 眼 的 ， 你 就 有 福 了 ！
14 因 為 他 們 沒 有 甚 麼 可 報 答 你 。 到 義 人 復 活 的 時 候 ， 你 要 得 著 報 答 。
15 同 席 的 有 一 人 聽 見 這 話 ， 就 對 耶 穌 說 ： 在 神 國 裡 吃 飯 的 有 福 了 ！
16 耶 穌 對 他 說 ： 有 一 人 擺 設 大 筵 席 ， 請 了 許 多 客 。
17 到 了 坐 席 的 時 候 ， 打 發 僕 人 去 對 所 請 的 人 說 ： 請 來 罷 ！ 樣 樣 都 齊 備 了 。
18 眾 人 一 口 同 音 的 推 辭 。 頭 一 個 說 ： 我 買 了 一 塊 地 ， 必 須 去 看 看 。 請 你 准 我 辭 了 。
19 又 有 一 個 說 ： 我 買 了 五 對 牛 ， 要 去 試 一 試 。 請 你 准 我 辭 了 。
20 又 有 一 個 說 ： 我 才 娶 了 妻 ， 所 以 不 能 去 。
21 那 僕 人 回 來 ， 把 這 事 都 告 訴 了 主 人 。 家 主 就 動 怒 ， 對 僕 人 說 ： 快 出 去 ， 到 城 裡 大 街 小 巷 ， 領 那 貧 窮 的 、 殘 廢 的 、 瞎 眼 的 、 瘸 腿 的 來 。
22 僕 人 說 ： 主 阿 ， 你 所 吩 咐 的 已 經 辦 了 ， 還 有 空 座 。
23 主 人 對 僕 人 說 ， 你 出 去 到 路 上 和 籬 笆 那 裡 ， 勉 強 人 進 來 ， 坐 滿 我 的 屋 子 。
24 我 告 訴 你 們 ， 先 前 所 請 的 人 ， 沒 有 一 個 得 嘗 我 的 筵 席 。
25 有 極 多 的 人 和 耶 穌 同 行 。 他 轉 過 來 對 他 們 說 ：
26 人 到 我 這 裡 來 ， 若 不 愛 我 勝 過 愛 （ 愛 我 勝 過 愛 ： 原 文 是 恨 ） 自 己 的 父 母 、 妻 子 、 兒 女 、 弟 兄 、 姐 妹 ， 和 自 己 的 性 命 ， 就 不 能 作 我 的 門 徒 。
27 凡 不 背 著 自 己 十 字 架 跟 從 我 的 ， 也 不 能 作 我 的 門 徒 。
28 你 們 那 一 個 要 蓋 一 座 樓 ， 不 先 坐 下 算 計 花 費 ， 能 蓋 成 不 能 呢 ？
29 恐 怕 安 了 地 基 ， 不 能 成 功 ， 看 見 的 人 都 笑 話 他 ， 說 ：
30 這 個 人 開 了 工 ， 卻 不 能 完 工 。
31 或 是 一 個 王 出 去 和 別 的 王 打 仗 ， 豈 不 先 坐 下 酌 量 ， 能 用 一 萬 兵 去 敵 那 領 二 萬 兵 來 攻 打 他 的 麼 ？
32 若 是 不 能 ， 就 趁 敵 人 還 遠 的 時 候 ， 派 使 者 去 求 和 息 的 條 款 。
33 這 樣 ， 你 們 無 論 甚 麼 人 ， 若 不 撇 下 一 切 所 有 的 ， 就 不 能 作 我 的 門 徒 。
34 鹽 本 是 好 的 ； 鹽 若 失 了 味 ， 可 用 甚 麼 叫 他 再 鹹 呢 ？
35 或 用 在 田 裡 ， 或 堆 在 糞 裡 ， 都 不 合 式 ， 只 好 丟 在 外 面 。 有 耳 可 聽 的 ， 就 應 當 聽 ！
15 眾 稅 吏 和 罪 人 都 挨 近 耶 穌 ， 要 聽 他 講 道 。
2 法 利 賽 人 和 文 士 私 下 議 論 說 ： 這 個 人 接 待 罪 人 ， 又 同 他 們 吃 飯 。
3 耶 穌 就 用 比 喻 說 ：
4 你 們 中 間 誰 有 一 百 隻 羊 失 去 一 隻 ， 不 把 這 九 十 九 隻 撇 在 曠 野 、 去 找 那 失 去 的 羊 ， 直 到 找 著 呢 ？
5 找 著 了 ， 就 歡 歡 喜 喜 的 扛 在 肩 上 ， 回 到 家 裡 ，
6 就 請 朋 友 鄰 舍 來 ， 對 他 們 說 ： 我 失 去 的 羊 已 經 找 著 了 ， 你 們 和 我 一 同 歡 喜 罷 ！
7 我 告 訴 你 們 ， 一 個 罪 人 悔 改 ， 在 天 上 也 要 這 樣 為 他 歡 喜 ， 較 比 為 九 十 九 個 不 用 悔 改 的 義 人 歡 喜 更 大 。
8 或 是 一 個 婦 人 有 十 塊 錢 ， 若 失 落 一 塊 ， 豈 不 點 上 燈 ， 打 掃 屋 子 ， 細 細 的 找 ， 直 到 找 著 麼 ？
9 找 著 了 ， 就 請 朋 友 鄰 舍 來 ， 對 他 們 說 ： 我 失 落 的 那 塊 錢 已 經 找 著 了 ， 你 們 和 我 一 同 歡 喜 罷 ！
10 我 告 訴 你 們 ， 一 個 罪 人 悔 改 ， 在 神 的 使 者 面 前 也 是 這 樣 為 他 歡 喜 。 」
11 耶 穌 又 說 ： 一 個 人 有 兩 個 兒 子 。
12 小 兒 子 對 父 親 說 ： 父 親 ， 請 你 把 我 應 得 的 家 業 分 給 我 。 他 父 親 就 把 產 業 分 給 他 們 。
13 過 了 不 多 幾 日 ， 小 兒 子 就 把 他 一 切 所 有 的 都 收 拾 起 來 ， 往 遠 方 去 了 。 在 那 裡 任 意 放 蕩 ， 浪 費 貲 財 。
14 既 耗 盡 了 一 切 所 有 的 ， 又 遇 著 那 地 方 大 遭 饑 荒 ， 就 窮 苦 起 來 。
15 於 是 去 投 靠 那 地 方 的 一 個 人 ； 那 人 打 發 他 到 田 裡 去 放 豬 。
16 他 恨 不 得 拿 豬 所 吃 的 豆 莢 充 飢 ， 也 沒 有 人 給 他 。
17 他 醒 悟 過 來 ， 就 說 ： 我 父 親 有 多 少 的 雇 工 ， 口 糧 有 餘 ， 我 倒 在 這 裡 餓 死 麼 ？
18 我 要 起 來 ， 到 我 父 親 那 裡 去 ， 向 他 說 ： 父 親 ！ 我 得 罪 了 天 ， 又 得 罪 了 你 ；
19 從 今 以 後 ， 我 不 配 稱 為 你 的 兒 子 ， 把 我 當 作 一 個 雇 工 罷 ！
20 於 是 起 來 ， 往 他 父 親 那 裡 去 。 相 離 還 遠 ， 他 父 親 看 見 ， 就 動 了 慈 心 ， 跑 去 抱 著 他 的 頸 項 ， 連 連 與 他 親 嘴 。
21 兒 子 說 ： 父 親 ！ 我 得 罪 了 天 ， 又 得 罪 了 你 ； 從 今 以 後 ， 我 不 配 稱 為 你 的 兒 子 。
22 父 親 卻 吩 咐 僕 人 說 ： 把 那 上 好 的 袍 子 快 拿 出 來 給 他 穿 ； 把 戒 指 戴 在 他 指 頭 上 ； 把 鞋 穿 在 他 腳 上 ；
23 把 那 肥 牛 犢 牽 來 宰 了 ， 我 們 可 以 吃 喝 快 樂 ；
24 因 為 我 這 個 兒 子 是 死 而 復 活 ， 失 而 又 得 的 。 他 們 就 快 樂 起 來 。
25 那 時 ， 大 兒 子 正 在 田 裡 。 他 回 來 ， 離 家 不 遠 ， 聽 見 作 樂 跳 舞 的 聲 音 ，
26 便 叫 過 一 個 僕 人 來 ， 問 是 甚 麼 事 。
27 僕 人 說 ： 你 兄 弟 來 了 ； 你 父 親 因 為 得 他 無 災 無 病 的 回 來 ， 把 肥 牛 犢 宰 了 。
28 大 兒 子 卻 生 氣 ， 不 肯 進 去 ； 他 父 親 就 出 來 勸 他 。
29 他 對 父 親 說 ： 我 服 事 你 這 多 年 ， 從 來 沒 有 違 背 過 你 的 命 ， 你 並 沒 有 給 我 一 隻 山 羊 羔 ， 叫 我 和 朋 友 一 同 快 樂 。
30 但 你 這 個 兒 子 和 娼 妓 吞 盡 了 你 的 產 業 ， 他 一 來 了 ， 你 倒 為 他 宰 了 肥 牛 犢 。
31 父 親 對 他 說 ： 兒 阿 ！ 你 常 和 我 同 在 ， 我 一 切 所 有 的 都 是 你 的 ；
32 只 是 你 這 個 兄 弟 是 死 而 復 活 、 失 而 又 得 的 ， 所 以 我 們 理 當 歡 喜 快 樂 。

论安息日治病
14 有个安息日，耶稣到一位法利赛人的首领家里作客，人们密切地监视祂。 2 当时有一个患水肿病的人在耶稣面前， 3 耶稣问法利赛人和律法教师：“在安息日可以医病吗？”
4 他们都闭口不言。耶稣便扶着那人把他医好，叫他走了， 5 然后又问他们：“如果你们有驴[a]或牛在安息日掉进井里，难道你们不会立刻把它拉上来吗？” 6 他们都哑口无言。
论谦卑
7 耶稣在宴席中看见宾客们都争着坐首位，就用比喻对他们说： 8 “参加婚宴的时候，不要坐在首位，因为或许有更尊贵的宾客来赴宴， 9 主人会把他带到你面前，说，‘请你把首位让给他吧！’你就要满面羞愧地退到末位去了。 10 你去赴宴时，应该先坐在末位，这样主人会对你说，‘朋友，请上坐！’那时，你在宾客面前就有光彩了。 11 因为自高的人必遭贬抑，谦卑的人必得尊荣。”
论待客之道
12 耶稣又对主人说：“摆设午宴、晚宴时，不要邀请你的朋友、弟兄、亲戚或有钱的邻居，免得他们回请你，你便得到报答了。 13 相反，你设宴时，要邀请贫穷的、残疾的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的， 14 这样你就有福了，因为他们都没有能力回报你，到了义人复活那天，上帝一定会赏赐你。”
大宴席的比喻
15 同席的一个客人听了这番话，就对耶稣说：“能够在上帝的国坐席的人多么有福啊！”
16 于是，耶稣对他说：“有一个人大摆宴席，邀请了许多客人。 17 要开席的时候，主人就派奴仆去对客人说，‘一切都准备好了，来赴宴吧！’ 18 可是，他们都找借口推辞。头一个说，‘我刚买了一块田，必须去看一看，请恕我不能参加。’ 19 另一个说，‘我新买了五对牛，要去试一试，请恕我不能参加。’ 20 还有一个说，‘我刚结了婚，所以不能去。’ 21 奴仆回来将这些话告诉主人，主人非常生气，于是对奴仆说，‘快出去到城里的大街小巷把贫穷的、残疾的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的都请来。’ 22 奴仆说，‘主人啊，我照你的吩咐办了，可是还有空位。’ 23 主人又说，‘出去到大路上、篱笆旁硬把人拉来，让我家里座无虚席。 24 我告诉你们，原来邀请的那些人没有一个能尝到我的宴席！’”
做门徒的代价
25 有一大群人跟着耶稣，祂转身对他们说： 26 “若有人要跟从我，就要爱我胜过爱他的父母、妻子、儿女、弟兄、姊妹，甚至自己的生命，否则就不能做我的门徒。 27 若不背起自己的十字架跟从我，就不能做我的门徒。
28 “哪有人建楼房不事先坐下来计算成本，看能否建成？ 29 否则，打好了地基却不能完工，徒惹别人嘲笑， 30 ‘这个人开了工，却不能完工！’
31 “哪有王要跟另一个王打仗时，不先坐下来酌量一下自己的一万人是否敌得过对方的两万人？ 32 如果自知不敌，一定趁敌人还远的时候，就差使者去求和。
33 “同样，你们若不撇下一切，就不能做我的门徒。 34 盐本来是好的，但如果盐失去了咸味，怎能使它再变咸呢？ 35 没有味的盐，既不利于土壤，也不适宜作肥料，只好丢掉。有耳可听的，就应当听。”
迷失的羊
15 许多税吏和罪人都来听耶稣讲道， 2 法利赛人和律法教师埋怨说：“这个人竟和罪人来往，还跟他们一起吃饭。”
3 耶稣给他们讲了一个比喻： 4 “如果你们有人有一百只羊，走失了一只，难道他不暂时把那九十九只留在草场上，去找那只迷失的羊，一直到找着为止吗？ 5 他找到后，会欢欢喜喜地把那只羊扛回家， 6 并邀来朋友邻居，说，‘我走失的羊找到了，来和我一同庆祝吧！’ 7 我告诉你们，同样，一个罪人悔改，在天上也要这样为他欢喜，甚至比有九十九个不用悔改的义人还欢喜。
丢钱的比喻
8 “又比如一个妇人有十块钱，不小心弄丢了一块，难道她不点亮灯，打扫房子，仔细寻找一直到找着为止吗？ 9 她找到后，会邀朋友邻居来，说，‘我丢的钱找到了，来和我一同庆祝吧！’ 10 我告诉你们，同样，一个罪人悔改，上帝的众天使也会这样为他欢喜。”

11 耶稣又说：“某人有两个儿子。 12 小儿子对父亲说，‘父亲，请你把我应得的家产分给我。’父亲就把财产分给了两个儿子。
13 “没过几天，小儿子带着他所有的财物出门远游去了。他终日在外花天酒地，挥金如土， 14 很快囊空如洗，又遇到严重的饥荒，就陷入困境， 15 只好投靠一个当地人。那人派他到田里去放猪， 16 他饿到恨不得拿喂猪的豆荚充饥，可是连这些也没有人给他。 17 最后，他醒悟过来，心想，‘在我父亲家里，连雇工的口粮都绰绰有余，我现在却要在这里饿死吗？ 18 我要动身回到我父亲身边，对他说，父亲，我得罪了天，也得罪了你， 19 今后，我再也不配做你的儿子，请把我当作雇工看待吧。’ 20 于是他动身回家。
“他父亲远远地看见他，就动了慈心，跑上前去抱着他连连亲吻。 21 小儿子说，‘父亲，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，今后，我再也不配做你的儿子。’
22 “父亲却对奴仆说，‘赶快拿最好的袍子来给他穿上，给他戴上戒指，穿上鞋， 23 把那只肥牛犊牵来宰了，让我们一同欢宴庆祝！ 24 因我这儿子是死而复活、失而复得的。’于是他们欢宴庆祝。
25 “那时，大儿子正在田间。当他回来还没到门口，就听见家里传出奏乐跳舞的声音。 26 他叫来一个奴仆问个究竟。
27 “奴仆回答说，‘你弟弟回来了！你父亲因他无灾无难地回来，特地宰了那只肥牛犊。’ 28 大儿子很生气，不肯进去。父亲就出来劝他。
29 “他对父亲说，‘你看，我伺候你这么多年，从来没有违背过你的命令，可是你没有给过我一只羊羔，让我和朋友一同欢宴。 30 但你这个儿子在娼妓身上耗尽家财，一回来，你倒为他宰了肥牛犊！’
31 “父亲对他说，‘孩子啊！你一直在我身边，我所有的一切都是你的。 32 可是你弟弟是死而复活、失而复得的，所以我们应该欢喜快乐。’”

Jesus at a Pharisee’s House(A)
14 One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee,(B) he was being carefully watched.(C) 2 There in front of him was a man suffering from abnormal swelling of his body. 3 Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law,(D) “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”(E) 4 But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him on his way.
5 Then he asked them, “If one of you has a child[a] or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull it out?”(F) 6 And they had nothing to say.
7 When he noticed how the guests picked the places of honor at the table,(G) he told them this parable: 8 “When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited. 9 If so, the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important place. 10 But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests. 11 For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”(H)
12 Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. 13 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,(I) 14 and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”(J)
The Parable of the Great Banquet(K)
15 When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, “Blessed is the one who will eat at the feast(L) in the kingdom of God.”(M)
16 Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. 17 At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’
18 “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’
19 “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’
20 “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’
21 “The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’(N)
22 “‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’
23 “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. 24 I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”(O)
The Cost of Being a Disciple
25 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: 26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.(P) 27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.(Q)
28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
31 “Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32 If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. 33 In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.(R)
34 “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?(S) 35 It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out.(T)
“Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”(U)
The Parable of the Lost Sheep(V)
15 Now the tax collectors(W) and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”(X)
3 Then Jesus told them this parable:(Y) 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?(Z) 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’(AA) 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.(AB)
The Parable of the Lost Coin
8 “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[b] and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’(AC) 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”(AD)
The Parable of the Lost Son
11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons.(AE) 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’(AF) So he divided his property(AG) between them.
13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth(AH) in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.(AI) 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned(AJ) against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.(AK)
21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.(AL) I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe(AM) and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger(AN) and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again;(AO) he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.(AP)
25 “Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27 ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’
28 “The older brother became angry(AQ) and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property(AR) with prostitutes(AS) comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
31 “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”(AT)
