The Lord Protects His House
9 This is the divine revelation.
The word of Yahweh is against the land of Hadrach
and will rest on Damascus
2 and also Hamath, which borders on it,
and Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.
(The eyes of humanity and of all the tribes of Israel are on Yahweh.)[a]
3 Tyre built itself a fortress.
It piled up silver like dust
and gold like mud in the streets.
4 Adonay will take away its possessions.
He will throw its wealth into the sea
and burn the city down.
5 Ashkelon will see this and be afraid.
Gaza will also be in great pain,
also Ekron, because its hope will fade.
Gaza will lose its king.
Ashkelon will no longer be lived in.
6 A mixed race will live in Ashdod,
and I will cut off the Philistines’ arrogance.
7 I will remove the blood from their mouths
and the disgusting things from between their teeth.
Then only a few of them will be left for our Elohim
like a tribe in Judah,
and Ekron will be like a Jebusite.
8 I will camp in front of my house
as a guard against those who come and go.
No oppressors will pass through them,
because I have seen it with my own eyes.[b]
The Lord Sends His King
9 Rejoice with all your heart, people of Zion!
Shout in triumph, people of Jerusalem!
Look! Your Melek is coming to you:
He is righteous and victorious.
He is humble and rides on a donkey,
on a colt, a young pack animal.
10 He[c] will make sure there are no chariots in Ephraim
or war horses in Jerusalem.
There will be no battle bows.
He will announce peace to the nations.
He will rule from sea to sea
and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.
11 I will set your captives free from the waterless pit
because of the blood that sealed my promise[d] to you.
12 Return to your fortress, you captives who have hope.
Today I tell you that I will return to you double blessings.
13 I will bend Judah as my bow
and draw my bow with Ephraim as its arrow.
I will stir up your people, Zion, against your people, Greece,
and I will use you like a warrior’s sword.
14 Yahweh will appear over them,
and his arrow will go out like lightning.
Adonay Yahweh will blow the ram’s horn
and will march in the storms from the south.
15 Yahweh Tsebaoth will defend them.
They will destroy and trample the stones used in slings.
They will drink and shout as if they were drunk.
They will be filled like a sacrificial bowl
used for sprinkling the corners of the altar.
16 On that day Yahweh their Elohim will rescue them
as the flock of his people.
They will certainly sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown.
17 They will be beautiful and lovely.[e]
Young men will prosper on grain,
and young women will prosper on new wine.

9 Este es el mensaje del SEÑOR contra el territorio de Jadrac y contra la ciudad de Damasco: Porque todos los seres humanos volverán los ojos al SEÑOR, así como todas las tribus de Israel, 2 y también el territorio de Jamat, que queda en la frontera con Damasco, y también Tiro y Sidón, aunque estas últimas sean ciudades muy sabias.
3 Tiro construyó una torre,
ha acumulado tanta plata como polvo.
Tiene tanto oro como barro en las calles.
4 Pero el Señor va a quitarle todas sus riquezas
y va a destruir la fortaleza que tiene en la costa.
Esa ciudad será consumida por el fuego.
5 Ascalón verá todo lo que sucederá en Tiro
y sentirá miedo.
Gaza también lo verá
y temblará de angustia.
Ecrón temblará también
porque sus esperanzas se desvanecerán.
No habrá más reyes en Gaza,
y Ascalón no sobrevivirá.
6 Asdod se llenará de hijos de padre desconocido.
Los filisteos no tendrán nada de qué sentirse orgullosos,
7 ya no podrán comer sangre
ni ningún otro alimento prohibido.
Todos los sobrevivientes de ellos pertenecerán a nuestro Dios;
harán parte de las familias de Judá.
Ecrón se convertirá también en parte de mi pueblo,
al igual que los jebuseos.
8 Protegeré mi casa
y no permitiré que nadie entre a atacarla.
Nunca más permitiré que los enemigos se aprovechen de mi pueblo,
porque he visto con mis propios ojos su sufrimiento.
El futuro rey
9 ¡Sion, alégrate!
¡Jerusalén, grita de alegría!
Mira, tu rey se acerca;
él es justo y victorioso.
Sin embargo, es humilde,
va montado en un burro.
10 El rey destruirá[a] los carros de Efraín
y los caballos de Jerusalén.
Destruirá las armas de guerra
y anunciará la paz para las naciones.
Él gobernará de mar a mar,
desde el río Éufrates hasta los lugares más lejanos de la tierra.
El Señor salvará a su pueblo
11 Jerusalén, nuestro pacto fue sellado con sangre.
Por eso sacaré a tus prisioneros de ese pozo seco[b].
12 Prisioneros, regresen a su hogar;
ahora tienen una esperanza.
Hoy anuncio que regresaré a ustedes.
13 Judá, te usaré como mi arco;
Efraín, tú serás mi flecha;
Sion, tú serás mi espada
para luchar contra los griegos.
14 El SEÑOR aparecerá ante ellos,
y lanzará sus flechas como rayos.
El Señor DIOS tocará la trompeta,
y el ejército avanzará
como una tormenta de arena en el desierto.
15 El SEÑOR Todopoderoso los defenderá.
Ellos pisotearán las piedras de los honderos;
Sus enemigos serán como pan comido ante ellos.
Celebrarán con vino, dando gritos de alegría.
Estarán rebosantes como un tazón lleno de sangre
que se derrama en la esquina del altar.
16 Ese día el SEÑOR su Dios les dará la victoria.
Los salvará como un pastor que cuida su rebaño.
Ellos serán para él como joyas
que brillan en su tierra.
17 ¡Qué tan bueno y bello será!
Habrá alimentos y vino
que darán fuerza a los jóvenes, hombres y mujeres.[c]
