Salmo 131 (130)

Como un niño, así estoy yo

131 Cántico de peregrinación. De David.
Señor, mi corazón no es arrogante
ni son altivos mis ojos;
no persigo dignidades
ni cosas que me superan.
Estoy en calma, estoy tranquilo,
como un niño en el regazo de su madre,
como un niño, así estoy yo.
Confía en el Señor, Israel,
desde ahora y para siempre.

Psalm 131

A song of ascents. Of David.

My heart is not proud,(A) Lord,
    my eyes are not haughty;(B)
I do not concern myself with great matters(C)
    or things too wonderful for me.(D)
But I have calmed and quieted myself,(E)
    I am like a weaned child with its mother;
    like a weaned child I am content.(F)

Israel, put your hope(G) in the Lord
    both now and forevermore.(H)

131 Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever.
