5 Porque los que viven[a] conforme a la carne(A), ponen la mente en las cosas de la carne, pero los que viven conforme al Espíritu, en las cosas del Espíritu(B). 6 Porque la mente puesta en la carne es muerte, pero la mente puesta en el Espíritu es vida y paz(C); 7 ya que la mente puesta en la carne es enemiga de Dios(D), porque no se sujeta a la ley de Dios, pues ni siquiera puede hacerlo, 8 y los que están en la carne(E) no pueden agradar a Dios.

5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires;(A) but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.(B) 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death,(C) but the mind governed by the Spirit is life(D) and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God;(E) it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh(F) cannot please God.
