²³ for all have sinned^(A) and fall short of the glory of God,

⁹ The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,^(A) as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient^(B) with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.^(C)

³⁸ Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized,^(A) every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.^(B) And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.^(C)

³⁰ In the past God overlooked^(A) such ignorance,^(B) but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.^(C)
