The Woman, the Child, and the Dragon
12 And a great (A)sign appeared (B)in heaven: (C)a woman (D)clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 And she was with child, and she *(E)cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth. 3 Then (F)another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red (G)dragon having (H)seven heads and (I)ten horns, and on his heads were (J)seven diadems. 4 And his tail *swept away a (K)third of the stars of heaven and (L)threw them to the earth. And the (M)dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth (N)he might devour her child. 5 And (O)she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to [a](P)rule all the [b]nations with a rod of iron; and her child was (Q)caught up to God and to His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she *had a place prepared by God, so that there [c]she would be nourished for (R)1,260 days.
War in Heaven
7 And there was war in heaven, (S)Michael and his angels waging war with the (T)dragon. The dragon and (U)his angels waged war, 8 and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. 9 And the great (V)dragon was thrown down, the (W)serpent of old who is called the devil and (X)Satan, who (Y)deceives the whole [d]world. He was (Z)thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10 Then I heard (AA)a loud voice in heaven, saying,
“Now the (AB)salvation, and the power, and the (AC)kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the (AD)accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. 11 And they (AE)overcame him because of (AF)the blood of the Lamb and because of (AG)the word of their witness, and they (AH)did not love their life even to death. 12 For this reason, (AI)rejoice, O heavens and (AJ)you who [e]dwell in them. (AK)Woe to the earth and the sea, because (AL)the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only (AM)a short time.”
13 And when the (AN)dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted (AO)the woman who gave birth to the male child. 14 But the (AP)two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly (AQ)into the wilderness to her place, where she *was nourished for (AR)a time and times and half a time, from the [f]presence of the serpent. 15 And the (AS)serpent [g]poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. 16 [h]But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon [i]poured out of his mouth. 17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman and went off to (AT)make war with the rest of her (AU)seed, who (AV)keep the commandments of God and (AW)have the witness of Jesus.

12 Una gran señal(A) apareció en el cielo(B): una mujer(C) vestida del sol(D), con[a] la luna debajo de sus pies, y una corona de doce estrellas sobre su cabeza. 2 Estaba encinta, y gritaba*(E) por los dolores del parto y el sufrimiento de dar a luz.
3 Entonces apareció otra señal en el cielo(F): Un gran dragón rojo(G) que tenía siete cabezas(H) y diez cuernos(I), y sobre sus cabezas había siete diademas(J). 4 Su cola arrastró* la tercera parte de las estrellas del cielo(K) y las arrojó sobre la tierra(L). Y el dragón(M) se paró delante de la mujer que estaba para dar a luz, a fin de devorar a su hijo(N) cuando ella diera a luz. 5 Y ella dio a luz un Hijo varón, que ha de regir[b] a todas las naciones[c] con vara de hierro(O). Su Hijo fue arrebatado hasta Dios y hasta Su trono(P). 6 La mujer huyó al desierto, donde tenía* un lugar preparado por Dios, para ser sustentada[d] allí por 1,260 días(Q).
7 Entonces hubo guerra en el cielo: Miguel(R) y sus ángeles combatieron contra el dragón(S). Y el dragón y sus ángeles lucharon(T), 8 pero no pudieron vencer[e], ni se halló ya lugar para ellos en el cielo. 9 Y fue arrojado el gran dragón(U), la serpiente antigua(V) que se llama Diablo y Satanás(W), el cual engaña al mundo entero(X). Fue arrojado a la tierra(Y) y sus ángeles fueron arrojados con él.
10 Entonces oí una gran voz en el cielo(Z), que decía:
«Ahora ha venido la salvación(AA), el poder y el reino de nuestro Dios(AB) y la autoridad de Su Cristo[f], porque el acusador(AC) de nuestros hermanos, el que los acusa delante de nuestro Dios día y noche, ha sido arrojado. 11 Ellos lo vencieron(AD) por medio de la sangre del Cordero(AE) y por la palabra del testimonio de ellos(AF), y no amaron sus vidas, llegando hasta sufrir la muerte(AG). 12 Por lo cual regocíjense, cielos(AH) y los que moran en ellos(AI). ¡Ay de la tierra y del mar(AJ)!, porque el diablo ha descendido a ustedes(AK) con[g] gran furor, sabiendo que tiene poco tiempo(AL)».
13 Cuando el dragón(AM) vio que había sido arrojado a la tierra, persiguió a la mujer que había dado a luz al Hijo varón(AN). 14 Y se le dieron a la mujer las dos alas de la gran águila(AO) a fin de que volara de la presencia[h] de la serpiente al desierto(AP), a su lugar, donde fue* sustentada por un tiempo, tiempos y medio tiempo(AQ). 15 La serpiente(AR) arrojó de su boca, tras la mujer, agua como un río, para que ella fuera arrastrada por la corriente[i].
16 Pero la tierra ayudó a la mujer, y la tierra abrió su boca y tragó el río que el dragón había arrojado de su boca. 17 Entonces el dragón se enfureció contra la mujer, y salió para hacer guerra(AS) contra el resto de la descendencia de ella(AT), los que guardan los mandamientos de Dios(AU) y tienen el testimonio de Jesús(AV).

Ang Babae at ang Dragon
12 Pagkatapos nito, isang kagila-gilalas na bagay ang nagpakita sa langit. Nakita ko ang isang babaeng nadaramitan ng araw at nakatuntong sa buwan. May korona siya sa ulo na may 12 bituin. 2 Manganganak na siya, kaya dumadaing siya dahil sa matinding sakit.
3 May isa pang kagila-gilalas na bagay akong nakita sa langit: isang malaking pulang dragon na may pitong ulo at sampung sungay na may korona sa bawat ulo. 4 Tinangay ng buntot niya ang ikatlong bahagi ng mga bituin sa langit at itinapon sa lupa. Tumayo ang dragon sa harap ng babaeng manganganak na upang lamunin ang sanggol sa oras na isilang ito. 5 At nanganak nga ang babae ng isang sanggol na lalaki na siyang maghahari[a] sa lahat ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng kamay na bakal. Hindi nakain ng dragon ang sanggol dahil inagaw agad ang sanggol at dinala sa Dios doon sa kanyang trono. 6 Ang babae naman ay tumakas sa ilang, sa isang lugar na inihanda ng Dios para sa kanya, upang maalagaan siya roon sa loob ng 1,260 araw.
7 Pagkatapos nito, nagkaroon ng digmaan sa langit. Si Micael at ang mga kasama niyang mga anghel ay nakipaglaban sa dragon. At lumaban din ang dragon at ang kanyang mga anghel. 8 Ngunit natalo ang dragon at ang kanyang mga anghel, at pinalayas sila mula sa langit. 9 Kaya itinaboy ang malaking dragon – ang ahas noong unang panahon na tinatawag na diyablo o Satanas na nanlilinlang sa mga tao sa buong mundo. Itinapon siya sa lupa kasama ang kanyang mga anghel.
10 Pagkatapos, narinig ko ang malakas na tinig mula sa langit na nagsasabi, “Dumating na ang pagliligtas ng Dios sa mga tao. Ipinapakita na niya ang kanyang kapangyarihan bilang hari at ang awtoridad ni Cristo na kanyang pinili. Sapagkat pinalayas na mula sa langit ang umaakusa sa ating mga kapatid sa harap ng Dios araw at gabi. 11 Ngunit natalo na siya ng ating mga kapatid sa pamamagitan ng dugo ng Tupa at ng katotohanang ipinangangaral nila. Hindi sila takot na ialay ang kanilang buhay alang-alang sa kanilang pananampalataya. 12 Kaya magalak kayo, kayong nakatira sa kalangitan. Pero nakakaawa kayong mga nakatira sa lupa at dagat dahil itinapon na riyan sa inyo si Satanas. Galit na galit siya dahil alam niyang kakaunti na lang ang natitirang panahon para sa kanya.”
13 Nang makita ng dragon na itinapon na siya sa lupa, tinugis niya ang babaeng nanganak ng sanggol na lalaki. 14 Ngunit binigyan ang babae ng dalawang pakpak na tulad sa malaking agila upang makalipad sa isang lugar sa ilang na inihanda para sa kanya. Doon siya aalagaan sa loob ng tatloʼt kalahating taon, malayo at ligtas sa dragon. 15 Dahil dito, nagbuga ang dragon ng maraming tubig, parang baha, upang tangayin ang babae. 16 Pero tinulungan ng lupa ang babae. Bumitak ito nang malalaki at hinigop ang tubig na galing sa bibig ng dragon. 17 Lalo pang nagalit ang dragon kaya nilusob niya ang iba pang mga anak ng babae. Itoʼy walang iba kundi ang mga taong sumusunod sa mga utos ng Dios at sa mga katotohanang itinuro ni Jesus. 18 At tumayo ang dragon sa tabi ng dagat.
