² The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,

⁵⁰ Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

⁶ Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

⁸ The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

³⁸ But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

⁵¹ Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O Lord; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
