Psalmul 65
Pentru dirijor. Un psalm al lui David. Un cântec.
1 Dumnezeule, pe Tine Te aşteaptă lauda[a] în Sion;
faţă de Tine vor fi împlinite jurămintele.
2 Tu asculţi rugăciunea;
de aceea toţi oamenii vor veni la Tine.
3 Poverile fărădelegilor noastre sunt mai puternice decât noi,
dar Tu faci ispăşire pentru nelegiuirile noastre.
4 Ferice de cel pe care-l alegi,
pe care-l apropii să locuiască în curţile Tale!
Ne vom sătura de lucrurile bune ale Casei Tale,
ale Templului Tău cel sfânt.
5 Tu ne răspunzi prin faptele grozave ale dreptăţii,
Dumnezeul mântuirii noastre,
Nădejdea tuturor marginilor pământului
şi ale mărilor îndepărtate,
6 Cel ce ai aşezat munţii prin puterea Ta,
fiind încins cu tărie,
7 Cel ce potoleşti vuietul mărilor,
vuietul talazurilor lor şi tumultul noroadelor.
8 Locuitorii de la marginile pământului se tem din pricina minunilor Tale!
Tu faci să răsune de bucurie locurile de unde se ivesc dimineaţa şi seara.
9 Tu cercetezi pământul, îi dai belşug,
îl îmbogăţeşti cu multe lucruri.
Râurile lui Dumnezeu sunt pline de apă
ca să dai oamenilor grâne. Iată cum pregăteşti pământul:[b]
10 îi uzi brazdele, îi sfărâmi bulgării,
îl înmoi cu ploile repezi şi îi binecuvântezi răsadul.
11 Încununezi anul cu bunătăţile Tale,
în urma Ta musteşte belşugul;[c]
12 mustesc, de asemenea, şi păşunile din pustie,
iar dealurile se încing cu veselie.
13 Păşunile se îmbracă cu turme,
văile se acoperă de grâne;
toate strigă de bucurie şi cântă.

65 Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion,
and to you the vow shall be fulfilled.
2 O you who hear prayer,
to you all flesh will come.
3 Iniquities[b] prevail over me.
As for our transgressions, you will forgive[c] them.
4 Blessed is one whom you choose and bring near,
that he may abide in your courts.
We will be satisfied with the goodness of your house,
your holy temple.
5 By awesome deeds in righteousness you will answer us,
O God of our salvation,
you who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth
and of the far-off seas,
6 who established the mountains by his strength,
the one who is girded with might,
7 who stills the roar of the seas,
the roar of their waves,
and the commotion of the peoples,
8 so that[d] the inhabitants of the farthest reaches are in awe of your signs.
You make the dawn and sunset sing for joy.
9 You care for[e] the land[f] and water it;
you greatly enrich it.
The stream of God is filled with waters.
You provide their grain,
for so you have established it.
10 You drench its furrows,
penetrating its ridges.
With rains you soften it;
its growth you bless.
11 You crown the year with your bounty,[g]
and your wagon paths drip with richness.[h]
12 They drop on the pastures of the wilderness,
and the hills gird themselves with joy.
13 The pasturelands put on flocks,
and the valleys clothe themselves with grain.
They shout in triumph;
they even sing.

1 Praise awaits[b] you, our God, in Zion;(A)
to you our vows will be fulfilled.(B)
2 You who answer prayer,
to you all people will come.(C)
3 When we were overwhelmed by sins,(D)
you forgave[c] our transgressions.(E)
4 Blessed are those you choose(F)
and bring near(G) to live in your courts!
We are filled with the good things of your house,(H)
of your holy temple.
5 You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,(I)
God our Savior,(J)
the hope of all the ends of the earth(K)
and of the farthest seas,(L)
6 who formed the mountains(M) by your power,
having armed yourself with strength,(N)
7 who stilled the roaring of the seas,(O)
the roaring of their waves,
and the turmoil of the nations.(P)
8 The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;
where morning dawns, where evening fades,
you call forth songs of joy.(Q)
9 You care for the land and water it;(R)
you enrich it abundantly.(S)
The streams of God are filled with water
to provide the people with grain,(T)
for so you have ordained it.[d]
10 You drench its furrows and level its ridges;
you soften it with showers(U) and bless its crops.
11 You crown the year with your bounty,(V)
and your carts overflow with abundance.(W)
12 The grasslands of the wilderness overflow;(X)
the hills are clothed with gladness.(Y)
13 The meadows are covered with flocks(Z)
