Psalm 35:9-11

9 Then I will be joyful in Adonai,
I will rejoice in his salvation.
10 All my bones will say,
“Who is like you?
Who can rescue the weak
from those stronger than they,
the poor and needy
from those who exploit them?”
11 Malicious witnesses come forward,
asking me things about which I know nothing.
Psalm 35:9-11
New English Translation
9 Then I will rejoice in the Lord
and be happy because of his deliverance.[a]
10 With all my strength I will say,[b]
“O Lord, who can compare to you?
You rescue[c] the oppressed from those who try to overpower them,[d]
the oppressed and needy from those who try to rob them.”[e]
11 Violent men perjure themselves,[f]
and falsely accuse me.[g]

- Psalm 35:10 tn Heb “from [the one who is] too strong for him.” The singular forms are used in a representative sense. The typical oppressed individual and typical oppressor are in view.
