The Joy of Forgiveness
Of David. A Maskil.
1 How joyful is the one
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered!(A)
2 How joyful is a person whom
the Lord does not charge with iniquity(B)
and in whose spirit is no deceit!(C)
3 When I kept silent, my bones became brittle
from my groaning all day long.(D)
4 For day and night your hand was heavy on me;(E)
my strength was drained[a]
as in the summer’s heat.(F)Selah
5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you(G)
and did not conceal my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the guilt of my sin.(H)Selah
6 Therefore let everyone who is faithful pray to you immediately.[b](I)
When great floodwaters come,
they will not reach him.(J)
7 You are my hiding place;(K)
you protect me from trouble.(L)
You surround me with joyful shouts of deliverance.Selah
8 I will instruct you and show you the way to go;(M)
with my eye on you, I will give counsel.(N)
9 Do not be like a horse or mule,
without understanding,
that must be controlled with bit and bridle
or else it will not come near you.(O)

Salmo de David. Masquil.
32 Bienaventurado aquel cuya transgresión ha sido perdonada, y cubierto su pecado.
2 Bienaventurado el hombre a quien Jehová no culpa de iniquidad,(A)
Y en cuyo espíritu no hay engaño.
3 Mientras callé, se envejecieron mis huesos
En mi gemir todo el día.
4 Porque de día y de noche se agravó sobre mí tu mano;
Se volvió mi verdor en sequedades de verano. Selah
5 Mi pecado te declaré, y no encubrí mi iniquidad.
Dije: Confesaré mis transgresiones a Jehová;
Y tú perdonaste la maldad de mi pecado.(B) Selah
6 Por esto orará a ti todo santo en el tiempo en que puedas ser hallado;
Ciertamente en la inundación de muchas aguas no llegarán estas a él.
7 Tú eres mi refugio; me guardarás de la angustia;
Con cánticos de liberación me rodearás. Selah
8 Te haré entender, y te enseñaré el camino en que debes andar;
Sobre ti fijaré mis ojos.
9 No seáis como el caballo, o como el mulo, sin entendimiento,
Que han de ser sujetados con cabestro y con freno,
Porque si no, no se acercan a ti.
10 Muchos dolores habrá para el impío;
Mas al que espera en Jehová, le rodea la misericordia.
11 Alegraos en Jehová y gozaos, justos;
Y cantad con júbilo todos vosotros los rectos de corazón.
