Psalm 24
Entrance into the Temple
Of David. A Psalm.
1 The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it,
the world, and those who live in it,(A)
2 for he has founded it on the seas
and established it on the rivers.
3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?(B)
4 Those who have clean hands and pure hearts,
who do not lift up their souls to what is false
and do not swear deceitfully.(C)
5 They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from the God of their salvation.(D)
6 Such is the company of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob.[a] Selah
7 Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in!(E)
8 Who is the King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty,
the Lord, mighty in battle.(F)
9 Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in!(G)
10 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah

Then he leased it to tenants and went away.(A) 34 When the harvest time had come, he sent his slaves to the tenants to collect his produce.(B) 35 But the tenants seized his slaves and beat one, killed another, and stoned another.(C) 36 Again he sent other slaves, more than the first, and they treated them in the same way. 37 Then he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and get his inheritance.’(D) 39 So they seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. 40 Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” 41 They said to him, “He will put those wretches to a miserable death and lease the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the harvest time.”(E)
