Psalmul 45
Pentru dirijor. Se cântă ca şi „Crinii“. Al korahiţilor. Un maschil[a]. Un cântec de dragoste.
1 Cuvinte pline de farmec îmi clocotesc în inimă.
Eu zic: „Îmi dedic versurile regelui!“
Limba mea este pana iscusită a unui scriitor!
2 Eşti cel mai frumos dintre fiii oamenilor!
Harul este revărsat pe buzele tale;
de aceea te-a binecuvântat Dumnezeu pe vecie.
3 Încinge-ţi sabia la coapsă, viteazule,
splendoarea şi măreţia ta!
4 În măreţia ta, călăreşte biruitor
pentru cauza adevărului, a smereniei şi a dreptăţii!
Dreapta ta să înfăptuiască isprăvi de temut!
5 Săgeţile tale ascuţite să străpungă inima duşmanilor regelui
şi popoarele să cadă sub picioarele tale![b]
6 Tronul Tău, Dumnezeule[c], este pentru veci de veci,
iar sceptrul împărăţiei Tale este un sceptru al dreptăţii!
7 Tu ai iubit dreptatea şi ai urât răutatea;
de aceea, Dumnezeule, Dumnezeul Tău Te-a uns
cu untdelemn de bucurie, mai presus decât pe tovarăşii Tăi.
8 Toate veşmintele tale sunt înmiresmate cu smirnă, aloe şi casia.
În palate de fildeş, instrumentele cu corzi te înveselesc.
9 Fiice de regi îţi sunt ţiitoare[d],
regina îţi stă la dreapta, înveşmântată toată numai în aur de Ofir.
10 Ascultă, fiică, priveşte şi pleacă-ţi urechea!
Uită-ţi poporul şi casa părintească!
11 Atunci regele va tânji după frumuseţea ta.
Pentru că îţi este domn, supune-te lui!
12 Fiica Tirului[e] va veni cu daruri;
oameni bogaţi îţi vor căuta bunăvoinţa.
13 Fiica regelui este plină de strălucire înăuntrul palatului;
veşmântul ei este ţesut cu fir de aur.
14 Cu haine brodate este adusă înaintea regelui;
este însoţită de fecioare,
care sunt aduse înaintea ta.[f]
15 Sunt aduse cu bucurie şi cu veselie,
iar ele intră în palatul regelui.
16 Fiii tăi vor lua locul părinţilor tăi;
pe ei îi vei pune prinţi în toată ţara.
17 Îţi voi aminti numele din neam în neam;
de aceea te vor lăuda popoarele în veci de veci.

For the director of music. To the tune of “Lilies.” Of the Sons of Korah. A maskil.[b] A wedding song.(A)
1 My heart is stirred by a noble theme
as I recite my verses for the king;
my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.
2 You are the most excellent of men
and your lips have been anointed with grace,(B)
since God has blessed you forever.(C)
3 Gird your sword(D) on your side, you mighty one;(E)
clothe yourself with splendor and majesty.(F)
4 In your majesty ride forth victoriously(G)
in the cause of truth, humility and justice;(H)
let your right hand(I) achieve awesome deeds.(J)
5 Let your sharp arrows(K) pierce the hearts(L) of the king’s enemies;(M)
let the nations fall beneath your feet.
6 Your throne, O God,[c] will last for ever and ever;(N)
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
7 You love righteousness(O) and hate wickedness;(P)
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing(Q) you with the oil of joy.(R)
8 All your robes are fragrant(S) with myrrh(T) and aloes(U) and cassia;(V)
from palaces adorned with ivory(W)
the music of the strings(X) makes you glad.
9 Daughters of kings(Y) are among your honored women;
at your right hand(Z) is the royal bride(AA) in gold of Ophir.(AB)
10 Listen, daughter,(AC) and pay careful attention:(AD)
Forget your people(AE) and your father’s house.
11 Let the king be enthralled by your beauty;(AF)
honor(AG) him, for he is your lord.(AH)
12 The city of Tyre(AI) will come with a gift,[d](AJ)
people of wealth will seek your favor.
13 All glorious(AK) is the princess within her chamber;
her gown is interwoven with gold.(AL)
14 In embroidered garments(AM) she is led to the king;(AN)
her virgin companions(AO) follow her—
those brought to be with her.
15 Led in with joy and gladness,(AP)
they enter the palace of the king.
16 Your sons will take the place of your fathers;
you will make them princes(AQ) throughout the land.

45 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
9 Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.
13 The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.
16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.
17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
