Proverbs 21:22-24

²²A wise man ascended into the city of (the) strong men, and destroyed the strength of [the] trust thereof.

²³He that keepeth his mouth and his tongue (under control), keepeth his soul from anguishes.

²⁴A proud man and (a) boaster is called a fool, (for) that (he) worketh (his) pride in ire.

²²One who is wise can go up against the city of the mighty^(A)
and pull down the stronghold in which they trust.

²³Those who guard their mouths^(B) and their tongues
keep themselves from calamity.^(C)

²⁴The proud and arrogant person^(D)—“Mocker” is his name—
behaves with insolent fury.
