12 Sinomang umiibig ng kasawayan ay umiibig ng kaalaman:
Nguni't siyang nagtatanim sa kasawayan ay hangal.
(A)Ang mabuting tao ay magtatamo ng lingap ng Panginoon:
Nguni't kaniyang parurusahan ang taong may masasamang katha.
Ang tao ay hindi matatag sa pamamagitan ng kasamaan:
(B)Nguni't ang ugat ng matuwid ay hindi makikilos.
(C)Ang mabait na babae ay putong sa kaniyang asawa:
Nguni't siyang nakahihiya ay parang (D)kabulukan sa kaniyang mga buto.
Ang mga pagiisip ng matuwid ay ganap:
Nguni't ang mga payo ng masama ay magdaraya.
(E)Ang mga salita ng masama ay mga bakay sa dugo:
Nguni't ililigtas sila ng bibig ng matuwid.
Ang masama ay (F)inilulugmok at nawawala:
Nguni't ang sangbahayan ng matuwid ay tatayo.
Pupurihin ang tao ayon sa kaniyang karunungan:
Nguni't ang masama sa puso ay hahamakin.
Maigi siyang pinahahalagahan ng kaunti, at may alipin,
Kay sa nagmamapuri, at kinukulang ng tinapay.
10 (G)Ang matuwid ay nagpapakundangan sa buhay ng kaniyang hayop:
Nguni't ang mga kaawaan ng masama ay mabagsik.
11 (H)Siyang bumubukid ng kaniyang lupain ay magkakaroon ng saganang tinapay:
Nguni't siyang sumusunod sa taong walang kabuluhan ay walang unawa.
12 Ninanasa ng masama ang lambat ng mga masamang tao:
Nguni't ang ugat ng matuwid ay nagbubunga.
13 Nasa pagsalangsang ng mga labi ang silo sa mga masamang tao:
(I)Nguni't ang matuwid ay lalabas sa kabagabagan.
14 (J)Ang tao ay (K)masisiyahan ng buti sa pamamagitan ng bunga ng kaniyang bibig;
At ang mga gawain ng mga kamay ng tao ay babayaran sa kaniya.
15 (L)Ang lakad ng mangmang ay matuwid sa kaniyang sariling mga mata:
Nguni't siyang pantas ay nakikinig sa payo.
16 (M)Ang yamot ng mangmang ay agad nakikilala:
Nguni't ang mabait na tao ay nagtatakip ng kahihiyan.
17 Ang nagbabadya ng katotohanan ay nagpapakilala ng katuwiran,
Nguni't ang sinungaling sa saksi ay nagdadaya.
18 (N)May nagsasalitang madalas na parang saliwan ng tabak:
Nguni't ang dila ng pantas ay kagalingan.
19 Ang labi ng katotohanan ay matatatag kailan man.
(O)Nguni't ang sinungaling na dila ay sa sangdali lamang.
20 Pagdaraya ay nasa puso ng mga kumakatha ng kasamaan:
Nguni't sa mga tagapayo ng kapayapaan ay kagalakan.
21 (P)Walang mangyayaring kapahamakan sa matuwid:
Nguni't ang masama ay mapupuno ng kasamaan.
22 (Q)Mga sinungaling na labi ay kasuklamsuklam sa Panginoon:
Nguni't ang nagsisigawang may katotohanan ay kaniyang kaluguran.
23 (R)Ang taong mabait ay nagkukubli ng kaalaman:
Nguni't ang puso ng mga mangmang ay nagtatanyag ng kamangmangan.
24 (S)Ang kamay ng masipag ay magpupuno:
Nguni't ang tamad ay malalagay sa pagatag.
25 (T)Ang kabigatan sa puso ng tao ay nagpapahukot;
Nguni't ang mabuting salita ay nagpapasaya.
26 Ang matuwid ay patnubay sa kaniyang kapuwa:
Nguni't ang lakad ng masama ay nakapagpapaligaw.
27 Ang tamad ay hindi nagiihaw ng kahit kaniyang napapangasuhan;
Nguni't ang mahalagang pagaari ng tao ay sa mga masisipag.
28 Nasa daan ng katuwiran ang buhay;
At sa kaniyang landas ay walang kamatayan.

12 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
    but whoever hates correction is stupid.(A)

Good people obtain favor from the Lord,(B)
    but he condemns those who devise wicked schemes.(C)

No one can be established through wickedness,
    but the righteous cannot be uprooted.(D)

A wife of noble character(E) is her husband’s crown,
    but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.(F)

The plans of the righteous are just,
    but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.

The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood,
    but the speech of the upright rescues them.(G)

The wicked are overthrown and are no more,(H)
    but the house of the righteous stands firm.(I)

A person is praised according to their prudence,
    and one with a warped(J) mind is despised.

Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant
    than pretend to be somebody and have no food.

10 The righteous care for the needs of their animals,(K)
    but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.

11 Those who work their land will have abundant food,
    but those who chase fantasies have no sense.(L)

12 The wicked desire the stronghold of evildoers,
    but the root of the righteous endures.

13 Evildoers are trapped by their sinful talk,(M)
    and so the innocent escape trouble.(N)

14 From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things,(O)
    and the work of their hands brings them reward.(P)

15 The way of fools seems right to them,(Q)
    but the wise listen to advice.(R)

16 Fools(S) show their annoyance at once,(T)
    but the prudent overlook an insult.(U)

17 An honest witness tells the truth,
    but a false witness tells lies.(V)

18 The words of the reckless pierce like swords,(W)
    but the tongue of the wise brings healing.(X)

19 Truthful lips endure forever,
    but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.

20 Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil,
    but those who promote peace have joy.(Y)

21 No harm overtakes the righteous,(Z)
    but the wicked have their fill of trouble.

22 The Lord detests lying lips,(AA)
    but he delights(AB) in people who are trustworthy.(AC)

23 The prudent keep their knowledge to themselves,(AD)
    but a fool’s heart blurts out folly.(AE)

24 Diligent hands will rule,
    but laziness ends in forced labor.(AF)

25 Anxiety weighs down the heart,(AG)
    but a kind word cheers it up.

26 The righteous choose their friends carefully,
    but the way of the wicked leads them astray.(AH)

27 The lazy do not roast[a] any game,
    but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

28 In the way of righteousness there is life;(AI)
    along that path is immortality.

16 A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.

17 He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
