10 以下是所罗门的箴言:

    智慧儿使父亲快乐,
    愚昧儿叫母亲担忧。
不义之财毫无益处,
    公义救人脱离死亡。
耶和华不让义人挨饿,
    祂使恶人的奢望成空。
游手好闲招致贫穷,
    勤奋努力带来富足。
精明儿夏季时贮藏,
    不肖子收成时酣睡。
祝福临到义人的头,
    残暴充满恶人的口。
义人流芳于世,
    恶人名声朽烂。
心存智慧的接受诫命;
    说话愚昧的自招灭亡。
行正道者活得安稳,
    走歪路者终必败露。
10 挤眉弄眼,带来忧伤;
    胡言乱语,导致灭亡。
11 义人的口是生命之泉,
    恶人的口却充满残暴。
12 恨能挑起各样纷争,
    爱能遮掩一切过犯。
13 明哲人口中有智慧,
    无知者背上受鞭打。
14 智者储藏知识,
    愚人口惹祸端。
15 钱财是富人的坚垒,
    贫乏带给穷人毁灭。
16 义人的报酬是生命,
    恶人的果子是惩罚。
17 听从教诲的,走生命之路;
    拒绝责备的,必步入歧途。
18 暗藏仇恨的满口虚谎,
    散布流言的愚不可及。
19 言多必失,智者慎言。
20 义人之舌似纯银,
    恶人之心无价值。
21 义人的口滋养众人,
    愚人因无知而死亡。
22 耶和华的祝福使人富足,
    祝福中不加任何忧愁[a]
23 愚人以恶为乐,
    哲士喜爱智慧。
24 恶人所怕的必临到他,
    义人的心愿必得实现。
25 暴风扫过,
    恶人消逝无踪,
    义人永不动摇。
26 雇用懒惰人,
    如醋倒牙,如烟熏目。
27 敬畏耶和华的享长寿,
    恶人的寿数必被缩短。
28 义人的憧憬带来欢乐,
    恶人的希望终必破灭。
29 耶和华的道保护正直人,
    毁灭作恶之人。
30 义人永不动摇,
    恶人无处容身。
31 义人的口发出智慧,
    诡诈的舌必被割掉。
32 义人说话得体合宜,
    恶人的口胡言乱语。

11 耶和华憎恶骗人的天平,
    喜爱公平的砝码。
傲慢带来羞辱,
    谦卑者有智慧。
正直人靠诚实引导,
    奸诈者被奸诈毁灭。
在降怒之日,财富毫无益处,
    唯有公义能救人免于死亡。
纯全人行义走坦途,
    恶人作恶致沉沦。
正直人被义行所救,
    奸诈者被私欲所掳。
恶人一死,他的希望就破灭,
    他对财势的冀望转眼成空。
义人脱离患难,
    恶人落入苦难。
不敬虔的张口败坏邻舍,
    义人却因知识获得拯救。
10 义人亨通,全城快乐;
    恶人灭亡,人人欢呼。
11 城因正直人的祝福而兴盛,
    因恶人的口舌而倾覆。
12 无知者轻视邻舍,
    明哲人保持缄默。
13 嚼舌者泄露秘密,
    忠信者守口如瓶。
14 缺乏智谋,国必败亡;
    谋士众多,战无不胜。
15 为他人作保,必受亏损;
    厌恶当保人,得享平安。
16 贤淑的女子得到尊荣,
    残暴的男子得到资财。
17 仁慈的人造福自己,
    残酷的人惹祸上身。
18 恶人赚来的转眼成空,
    播种公义的必获奖赏。
19 坚持行义,必得生命;
    追逐罪恶,终必灭亡。
20 心术不正的人令耶和华憎恶,
    纯全无过的人蒙耶和华喜爱。
21 恶人终必落入法网,
    义人的子孙必得拯救。
22 女子貌美无内涵,
    如同猪鼻挂金环。
23 义人的愿望结出善果,
    恶人的希望招致烈怒。
24 有人乐善好施,反倒越来越富;
    有人一毛不拔,反而越来越穷。
25 慷慨好施的必得昌盛,
    恩待他人的必蒙恩待。
26 囤粮不卖,惹人咒诅;
    乐意卖粮,必蒙祝福。
27 寻求良善得恩惠,
    追求罪恶遭祸患。
28 倚仗财势者必衰败,
    义人必兴旺如绿叶。
29 祸害自家,必一无所有,
    愚人必做智者的仆役。
30 义人结果如生命之树,
    智者深得人心。
31 看啊!义人在世上尚且遭报[b]
    更何况罪人和恶人呢?

12 喜爱管教的喜爱知识,
    厌恶责备的愚不可及。
善良的人蒙耶和华赐恩,
    诡诈的人被耶和华定罪。
人不能靠恶行坚立自己,
    义人的根基却不会动摇。
贤德的妻子是丈夫的冠冕,
    无耻的妻子如丈夫的骨瘤。
义人的心思公平正直,
    恶人的计谋阴险诡诈。
恶人的言语暗藏杀机,
    正直人的口拯救生命。
恶人覆灭不复存在,
    义人的家屹立不倒。
人有智慧受称赞,
    心术不正遭唾弃。
地位卑微却有仆人,
    胜过自高却饿肚子。
10 义人顾惜自己的牲畜,
    恶人的怜悯也是残忍。
11 努力耕耘者丰衣足食;
    追求虚荣者愚不可及。
12 恶人贪恋坏人的赃物,
    义人的根结出硕果。
13 恶人被自己的恶言所困,
    但义人可以脱离险境。
14 口出良言,饱尝美福;
    双手勤劳,终得回报。
15 愚人自以为是,
    智者肯听劝诫。
16 愚人难压怒气,
    明哲忍辱负重。
17 忠实的证人讲真话,
    作伪证者满口谎言。
18 出言不慎犹如利剑伤人,
    智者之言却能医治创伤。
19 诚实的口永远长存,
    撒谎的舌转瞬即逝。
20 图谋恶事的心怀诡诈,
    劝人和睦的喜乐洋溢。
21 义人无往不利,
    恶人灾祸连连。
22 耶和华厌恶说谎的嘴,
    祂喜爱行为诚实的人。
23 明哲不露锋芒,
    愚人心吐愚昧。
24 殷勤的手必掌权,
    懒惰者必做奴仆。
25 忧虑的心使人消沉,
    一句良言振奋人心。
26 义人引人走正路,
    恶人领人入歧途。
27 懒汉不烤猎物,
    勤快人得资财。
28 公义的道上有生命,
    公义的路上无死亡。

13 智慧儿听从父训,
    嘲讽者不听责备。
口出良言尝善果,
    奸徒贪行残暴事[c]
说话谨慎,可保性命;
    口无遮拦,自取灭亡。
懒惰人空有幻想,
    勤快人心想事成。
义人憎恶虚谎,
    恶人行事可耻。
公义守卫正直的人,
    邪恶倾覆犯罪之徒。
有人强充富有,
    其实身无分文;
    有人假装贫穷,
    却是腰缠万贯。
富人用财富赎命,
    穷人却免受惊吓。
义人的光灿烂,
    恶人的灯熄灭。
10 自高自大招惹纷争,
    虚心受教才是睿智。
11 不义之财必耗尽,
    勤俭积蓄财富增。
12 盼望无期,使人忧伤;

13 蔑视训言,自招灭亡;
    敬畏诫命,必得赏赐。
14 智者的训言是生命之泉,
    可使人避开死亡的网罗。
15 睿智使人蒙恩惠,

17 奸恶的使者陷入灾祸,
    忠诚的使者带来医治。
18 不受管教的贫穷羞愧,
    接受责备的受到尊崇。
19 愿望实现使心甘甜,
    远离恶事为愚人憎恶。
20 与智者同行必得智慧,
    与愚人结伴必受亏损。
21 祸患追赶罪人,
    义人必得善报。
22 善人为子孙留下产业,
    罪人给义人积聚财富。
23 穷人的田地出产丰富,
    因不公而被抢掠一空。
24 不用杖管教儿女是憎恶他们,
    疼爱儿女的随时管教他们。
25 义人丰衣足食,
    恶人食不果腹。

14 智慧的女子建立家园,
    愚昧的女子亲手拆毁。
行为正直的人敬畏耶和华,
    行事邪僻的人轻视耶和华。
愚人的狂言招来鞭打,
    智者的唇舌保护自己。
没有耕牛槽头净,
    五谷丰登需壮牛。
忠实的证人不会撒谎,
    虚假的证人谎话连篇。
嘲讽者徒然寻智慧,
    明哲人轻易得知识。
你要远离愚昧人,
    他口中毫无知识。
明哲凭智慧辨道,
    愚人被愚昧欺骗。
愚妄人戏看罪恶,
    正直人彼此恩待。
10 心头的愁苦,唯有自己明白;
    心中的喜乐,外人无法分享。
11 恶人的房屋必遭毁灭,
    正直人的帐篷必兴盛。
12 有的路看似正确,
    最终却通向死亡。
13 欢笑难消内心的痛苦,
    欢乐过后,悲伤犹在。
14 背弃正道,自食恶果;
    善人行善,必得善报。
15 愚昧人什么都信,
    明哲人步步谨慎。
16 智者小心谨慎,远离恶事;
    愚人骄傲自负,行事鲁莽。
17 急躁易怒的人做事愚昧,
    阴险奸诈之人遭人痛恨。
18 愚昧人得愚昧作产业,
    明哲人得知识为冠冕。
19 坏人俯伏在善人面前,
    恶人俯伏在义人门口。
20 穷人遭邻舍厌,
    富人朋友众多。
21 藐视邻舍是罪过,
    怜悯穷人蒙福乐。
22 图谋恶事的步入歧途,
    行善的受爱戴和拥护。
23 殷勤工作,带来益处;
    满嘴空谈,导致贫穷。
24 智者以财富为冠冕,
    愚人以愚昧为装饰。
25 诚实的证人挽救性命,
    口吐谎言者欺骗他人。
26 敬畏耶和华的信心坚定,
    他的子孙也有庇护所。
27 敬畏耶和华是生命的泉源,
    可以使人避开死亡的陷阱。
28 人民众多,是君王的荣耀;
    没有臣民,君主必然败亡。
29 不轻易发怒者深明事理,
    鲁莽急躁的人显出愚昧。
30 心平气和,滋润生命;
    妒火中烧,啃蚀骨头。
31 欺压穷人等于侮辱造物主,
    怜悯贫弱就是尊敬造物主。
32 恶人因恶行而灭亡,
    义人到死仍有倚靠。
33 智慧存在哲士心里,
    愚人心中充满无知。
34 公义能叫邦国兴盛,
    罪恶是人民的耻辱。
35 明智的臣子蒙王喜悦,
    可耻的仆人惹王发怒。

The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry,(F)
    but he thwarts the craving of the wicked.(G)

Lazy hands make for poverty,(H)
    but diligent hands bring wealth.(I)

He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son,
    but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.(J)

Blessings crown the head of the righteous,
    but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.[a](K)

The name of the righteous(L) is used in blessings,[b]
    but the name of the wicked(M) will rot.(N)

The wise in heart accept commands,
    but a chattering fool comes to ruin.(O)

Whoever walks in integrity(P) walks securely,(Q)

    but righteousness delivers from death.(BJ)

The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight,(BK)
    but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.(BL)

The righteousness of the upright delivers them,
    but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.(BM)

Hopes placed in mortals die with them;(BN)
    all the promise of[c] their power comes to nothing.(BO)

The righteous person is rescued from trouble,
    and it falls on the wicked instead.(BP)

With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors,
    but through knowledge the righteous escape.(BQ)

10 When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices;(BR)
    when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.(BS)

11 Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted,(BT)
    but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.(BU)

12 Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense,(BV)
    but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.(BW)

13 A gossip betrays a confidence,(BX)
    but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.(BY)

14 For lack of guidance a nation falls,(BZ)
    but victory is won through many advisers.(CA)

15 Whoever puts up security(CB) for a stranger will surely suffer,
    but whoever refuses to shake hands in pledge is safe.(CC)

16 A kindhearted woman gains honor,(CD)
    but ruthless men gain only wealth.

17 Those who are kind benefit themselves,
    but the cruel bring ruin on themselves.

18 A wicked person earns deceptive wages,
    but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.(CE)

19 Truly the righteous attain life,(CF)
    but whoever pursues evil finds death.(CG)

20 The Lord detests those whose hearts are perverse,(CH)
    but he delights(CI) in those whose ways are blameless.(CJ)

21 Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished,
    but those who are righteous will go free.(CK)

22 Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout
    is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.

23 The desire of the righteous ends only in good,
    but the hope of the wicked only in wrath.

24 One person gives freely, yet gains even more;
    another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.

25 A generous(CL) person will prosper;
    whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.(CM)

26 People curse the one who hoards grain,
    but they pray God’s blessing on the one who is willing to sell.

27 Whoever seeks good finds favor,
    but evil comes to one who searches for it.(CN)

28 Those who trust in their riches will fall,(CO)
    but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.(CP)

29 Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit only wind,
    and the fool will be servant to the wise.(CQ)

30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,(CR)
    and the one who is wise saves lives.

31 If the righteous receive their due(CS) on earth,
    how much more the ungodly and the sinner!

12 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
    but whoever hates correction is stupid.(CT)

Good people obtain favor from the Lord,(CU)
    but he condemns those who devise wicked schemes.(CV)

No one can be established through wickedness,
    but the righteous cannot be uprooted.(CW)

A wife of noble character(CX) is her husband’s crown,
    but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.(CY)

The plans of the righteous are just,
    but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.

The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood,
    but the speech of the upright rescues them.(CZ)

The wicked are overthrown and are no more,(DA)
    but the house of the righteous stands firm.(DB)

A person is praised according to their prudence,
    and one with a warped(DC) mind is despised.

Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant
    than pretend to be somebody and have no food.

10 The righteous care for the needs of their animals,(DD)
    but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.

11 Those who work their land will have abundant food,
    but those who chase fantasies have no sense.(DE)

12 The wicked desire the stronghold of evildoers,
    but the root of the righteous endures.

13 Evildoers are trapped by their sinful talk,(DF)
    and so the innocent escape trouble.(DG)

14 From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things,(DH)
    and the work of their hands brings them reward.(DI)

15 The way of fools seems right to them,(DJ)
    but the wise listen to advice.(DK)

16 Fools(DL) show their annoyance at once,(DM)
    but the prudent overlook an insult.(DN)

17 An honest witness tells the truth,
    but a false witness tells lies.(DO)

18 The words of the reckless pierce like swords,(DP)

19 Truthful lips endure forever,
    but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.

20 Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil,
    but those who promote peace have joy.(DR)

    but the wicked have their fill of trouble.

22 The Lord detests lying lips,(DT)
    but he delights(DU) in people who are trustworthy.(DV)

23 The prudent keep their knowledge to themselves,(DW)
    but a fool’s heart blurts out folly.(DX)

24 Diligent hands will rule,
    but laziness ends in forced labor.(DY)

25 Anxiety weighs down the heart,(DZ)
    but a kind word cheers it up.

26 The righteous choose their friends carefully,
    but the way of the wicked leads them astray.(EA)

27 The lazy do not roast[d] any game,
    but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

28 In the way of righteousness there is life;(EB)
    along that path is immortality.

13 A wise son heeds his father’s instruction,
    but a mocker does not respond to rebukes.(EC)

From the fruit of their lips people enjoy good things,(ED)
    but the unfaithful have an appetite for violence.

Those who guard their lips(EE) preserve their lives,(EF)
    but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.(EG)

A sluggard’s appetite is never filled,(EH)
    but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.

The righteous hate what is false,(EI)
    but the wicked make themselves a stench
    and bring shame on themselves.

Righteousness guards the person of integrity,
    but wickedness overthrows the sinner.(EJ)

One person pretends to be rich, yet has nothing;(EK)
    another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth.(EL)

A person’s riches may ransom their life,
    but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes.(EM)

The light of the righteous shines brightly,
    but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.(EN)

10 Where there is strife, there is pride,
    but wisdom is found in those who take advice.(EO)

11 Dishonest money dwindles away,(EP)
    but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.

12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
    but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.(EQ)

13 Whoever scorns instruction will pay for it,(ER)
    but whoever respects(ES) a command is rewarded.(ET)

14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life,(EU)
    turning a person from the snares of death.(EV)

15 Good judgment wins favor,
    but the way of the unfaithful leads to their destruction.[e]

16 All who are prudent act with[f] knowledge,

18 Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame,(FA)

20 Walk with the wise and become wise,

22 A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children,
    but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.(FH)

23 An unplowed field produces food for the poor,
    but injustice sweeps it away.

24 Whoever spares the rod(FI) hates their children,
    but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline(FJ) them.(FK)

25 The righteous eat to their hearts’ content,
    but the stomach of the wicked goes hungry.(FL)

14 The wise woman builds her house,(FM)
    but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

Whoever fears the Lord walks uprightly,
    but those who despise him are devious in their ways.

A fool’s mouth lashes out with pride,(FN)
    but the lips of the wise protect them.(FO)

Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty,
    but from the strength of an ox(FP) come abundant harvests.

An honest witness does not deceive,
    but a false witness pours out lies.(FQ)

The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none,
    but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.(FR)

Stay away from a fool,
    for you will not find knowledge on their lips.

The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways,(FS)
    but the folly of fools is deception.(FT)

Fools mock at making amends for sin,
    but goodwill is found among the upright.

10 Each heart knows its own bitterness,
    and no one else can share its joy.

11 The house of the wicked will be destroyed,(FU)
    but the tent of the upright will flourish.(FV)

12 There is a way that appears to be right,(FW)
    but in the end it leads to death.(FX)

13 Even in laughter(FY) the heart may ache,
    and rejoicing may end in grief.

14 The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways,(FZ)

15 The simple believe anything,
    but the prudent give thought to their steps.(GB)

16 The wise fear the Lord and shun evil,(GC)
    but a fool(GD) is hotheaded and yet feels secure.

17 A quick-tempered person(GE) does foolish things,(GF)
    and the one who devises evil schemes is hated.(GG)

18 The simple inherit folly,
    but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

19 Evildoers will bow down in the presence of the good,
    and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.(GH)

20 The poor are shunned even by their neighbors,
    but the rich have many friends.(GI)

21 It is a sin to despise one’s neighbor,(GJ)
    but blessed is the one who is kind to the needy.(GK)

22 Do not those who plot evil go astray?(GL)
    But those who plan what is good find[g] love and faithfulness.

23 All hard work brings a profit,
    but mere talk leads only to poverty.

24 The wealth of the wise is their crown,
    but the folly of fools yields folly.(GM)

25 A truthful witness saves lives,
    but a false witness is deceitful.(GN)

26 Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress,(GO)
    and for their children it will be a refuge.(GP)

27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,(GQ)
    turning a person from the snares of death.(GR)

28 A large population is a king’s glory,
    but without subjects a prince is ruined.(GS)

29 Whoever is patient has great understanding,(GT)
    but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.(GU)

30 A heart at peace gives life to the body,
    but envy rots the bones.(GV)

31 Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker,(GW)
