2 Mon fils, si tu reçois mes paroles, Et si tu gardes avec toi mes préceptes,
2 Si tu rends ton oreille attentive à la sagesse, Et si tu inclines ton coeur à l'intelligence;
3 Oui, si tu appelles la sagesse, Et si tu élèves ta voix vers l'intelligence,
4 Si tu la cherches comme l'argent, Si tu la poursuis comme un trésor,
5 Alors tu comprendras la crainte de l'Éternel, Et tu trouveras la connaissance de Dieu.
6 Car l'Éternel donne la sagesse; De sa bouche sortent la connaissance et l'intelligence;
7 Il tient en réserve le salut pour les hommes droits, Un bouclier pour ceux qui marchent dans l'intégrité,
8 En protégeant les sentiers de la justice Et en gardant la voie de ses fidèles.
9 Alors tu comprendras la justice, l'équité, La droiture, toutes les routes qui mènent au bien.
10 Car la sagesse viendra dans ton coeur, Et la connaissance fera les délices de ton âme;
11 La réflexion veillera sur toi, L'intelligence te gardera,
12 Pour te délivrer de la voie du mal, De l'homme qui tient des discours pervers,
13 De ceux qui abandonnent les sentiers de la droiture Afin de marcher dans des chemins ténébreux,
14 Qui trouvent de la jouissance à faire le mal, Qui mettent leur plaisir dans la perversité,
15 Qui suivent des sentiers détournés, Et qui prennent des routes tortueuses;
16 Pour te délivrer de la femme étrangère, De l'étrangère qui emploie des paroles doucereuses,
17 Qui abandonne l'ami de sa jeunesse, Et qui oublie l'alliance de son Dieu;
18 Car sa maison penche vers la mort, Et sa route mène chez les morts:
19 Aucun de ceux qui vont à elle ne revient, Et ne retrouve les sentiers de la vie.
20 Tu marcheras ainsi dans la voie des gens de bien, Tu garderas les sentiers des justes.
21 Car les hommes droits habiteront le pays, Les hommes intègres y resteront;
22 Mais les méchants seront retranchés du pays, Les infidèles en seront arrachés.

智慧的益處
2 孩子啊，
你若接受我的教誨，
珍愛我的誡命，
2 側耳聆聽智慧，
傾心渴慕悟性；
3 你若呼求洞見，
竭力追求悟性，
4 尋它如尋銀子，
找它如找寶藏，
5 你就會懂得敬畏耶和華，
認識上帝。
6 因為耶和華賜人智慧，
知識和悟性出自祂的口。
7 祂使正直人充滿智慧，
是行為純全者的盾牌。
8 祂看守正義之路，
護衛虔誠人的道。
9 這樣，你就明白何為仁義、
公平和正直，
懂得一切美善之道。
10 因為智慧必進入你心，
知識必令你的靈歡快。
11 明辨力必護佑你，
悟性必看顧你。
12 智慧必救你遠離惡道，
脫離言語荒謬的人。
13 他們捨棄正道，走上黑路，
14 以行惡為樂，喜愛惡人的邪僻；
15 他們的道路歪邪，行徑扭曲。
16 智慧要救你脫離淫婦，
脫離花言巧語的妓女。
17 她撇棄了年輕時的丈夫，
忘了在上帝面前立的約。
18 她的家通向死亡，
她的路直達陰間。
19 到她那裡的人都有去無回，
找不到生命之道。
20 所以你要行善人的路，
守義人的道。
21 因為在地上，
正直人必安居，

3 呼 求 明 哲 ， 揚 聲 求 聰 明 ，
4 尋 找 他 ， 如 尋 找 銀 子 ， 搜 求 他 ， 如 搜 求 隱 藏 的 珍 寶 ，
5 你 就 明 白 敬 畏 耶 和 華 ， 得 以 認 識 神 。
6 因 為 ， 耶 和 華 賜 人 智 慧 ； 知 識 和 聰 明 都 由 他 口 而 出 。

2 Anak ko, kung iyong tatanggapin ang aking mga salita, at tataglayin mo ang aking mga utos;
2 Na anopa't iyong ikikiling ang iyong pakinig sa karunungan, at ihihilig mo ang iyong puso sa pagunawa;
3 Oo, kung ikaw ay dadaing ng pagbubulay, at itataas mo ang iyong tinig sa pagunawa;
4 Kung iyong hahanapin siya na parang pilak, at sasaliksikin mo siyang parang kayamanang natatago.
5 Kung magkagayo'y iyong mauunawa ang pagkatakot sa Panginoon, at masusumpungan mo ang kaalaman ng Dios.
6 Sapagka't ang Panginoon ay nagbibigay ng karunungan, sa kaniyang bibig nanggagaling ang kaalaman at kaunawaan:
7 Kaniyang pinapagtataglay ang matuwid ng magaling na karunungan, siya'y kalasag sa nagsisilakad sa pagtatapat;
8 Upang kaniyang mabantayan ang mga landas ng kahatulan, at maingatan ang daan ng kaniyang mga banal.
9 Kung magkagayo'y mauunawa mo ang katuwiran at ang kahatulan, at ang karampatan, oo, bawa't mabuting landas.
10 Sapagka't karunungan ay papasok sa iyong puso, at kaalaman ay magiging ligaya sa iyong kaluluwa;
11 Kabaitan ay magbabantay sa iyo, pagkaunawa ay magiingat sa iyo:
12 Upang iligtas ka sa daan ng kasamaan, sa mga taong nagsisipagsalita ng mga masamang bagay;
13 Na nagpapabaya ng mga landas ng katuwiran, upang magsilakad sa mga daan ng kadiliman;
14 Na nangagagalak na magsigawa ng kasamaan, at nangaaaliw sa mga karayaan ng kasamaan,
15 Na mga liko sa kanilang mga lakad, at mga suwail sa kanilang mga landas:
16 Upang iligtas ka sa masamang babae, sa makatuwid baga'y sa di kilala na nanghahalina ng kaniyang mga salita;
17 Na nagpapabaya sa kaibigan ng kaniyang kabataan, at lumilimot ng tipan ng kaniyang Dios:
18 Sapagka't ang kaniyang bahay ay kumikiling sa kamatayan, at ang kaniyang mga landas na sa patay:
19 Walang naparoroon sa kaniya na bumabalik uli, ni kanila mang tinatamo ang mga landas ng buhay:
20 Upang ikaw ay makalakad ng lakad ng mabubuting tao, at maingatan ang mga landas ng matuwid.
21 Sapagka't ang matuwid ay tatahan sa lupain, at ang sakdal ay mamamalagi roon.
22 Nguni't ang masama ay mahihiwalay sa lupain, at silang nagsisigawang may karayaan ay mangabubunot.

Moral Benefits of Wisdom
2 My son,(A) if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
2 turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding(B)—
3 indeed, if you call out for insight(C)
and cry aloud for understanding,
4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,(D)
5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.(E)
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;(F)
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.(G)
7 He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield(H) to those whose walk is blameless,(I)
8 for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.(J)
9 Then you will understand(K) what is right and just
and fair—every good path.
10 For wisdom will enter your heart,(L)
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
11 Discretion will protect you,
and understanding will guard you.(M)
12 Wisdom will save(N) you from the ways of wicked men,
from men whose words are perverse,
13 who have left the straight paths
to walk in dark ways,(O)
14 who delight in doing wrong
and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,(P)
15 whose paths are crooked(Q)
and who are devious in their ways.(R)
16 Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman,(S)
from the wayward woman with her seductive words,
17 who has left the partner of her youth
and ignored the covenant she made before God.[a](T)
18 Surely her house leads down to death
and her paths to the spirits of the dead.(U)
19 None who go to her return
or attain the paths of life.(V)
