20 ׳הָלוֹךְ׳ ״הוֹלֵ֣ךְ״ אֶת־חֲכָמִ֣ים ׳וַחֲכָם׳ ״יֶחְכָּ֑ם״ וְרֹעֶ֖ה כְסִילִ֣ים יֵרֽוֹעַ׃

21 חַ֭טָּאִים תְּרַדֵּ֣ף רָעָ֑ה וְאֶת־צַ֝דִּיקִ֗ים יְשַׁלֶּם־טֽוֹב׃

22 ט֗וֹב יַנְחִ֥יל בְּנֵֽי־בָנִ֑ים וְצָפ֥וּן לַ֝צַּדִּ֗יק חֵ֣יל חוֹטֵֽא׃

23 רָב־אֹ֭כֶל נִ֣יר רָאשִׁ֑ים וְיֵ֥שׁ נִ֝סְפֶּ֗ה בְּלֹ֣א מִשְׁפָּֽט׃

24 חוֹשֵׂ֣ךְ שִׁ֭בְטוֹ שׂוֹנֵ֣א בְנ֑וֹ וְ֝אֹהֲב֗וֹ שִֽׁחֲר֥וֹ מוּסָֽר׃

25 צַדִּ֗יק אֹ֭כֵל לְשֹׂ֣בַע נַפְשׁ֑וֹ וּבֶ֖טֶן רְשָׁעִ֣ים תֶּחְסָֽר׃ פ

But a companion of fools will suffer harm.
21 (B)Adversity pursues sinners,
But the (C)righteous will be rewarded with prosperity.
22 A good person (D)leaves an inheritance to his [a]grandchildren,
And the (E)wealth of a sinner is stored up for the righteous.
23 (F)Abundant food is in the uncultivated ground of the poor,
But [b]it is swept away by injustice.
24 He who (G)withholds his [c]rod hates his son,
But he who loves him [d](H)disciplines him diligently.
25 The (I)righteous [e]has enough to satisfy his appetite,
But the stomach of the (J)wicked is in need.
