Lời Chúc Phước Lành Của Môi-se Cho Các Chi Tộc Y-sơ-ra-ên
33 Sau đây là lời chúc phước lành của Môi-se, người của Đức Chúa Trời, đã công bố về Y-sơ-ra-ên trước khi qua đời. 2 Ông nói:
“CHÚA từ Si-nai đến,
Từ Sê-i-rơ Ngài là ánh bình minh soi rạng trên dân Ngài,
Từ núi Pha-ran, Ngài chói sáng rực rỡ,
Ngài đến với muôn vàn vị thánh,
Lửa luật pháp phát ra từ tay phải Ngài.
3 Ngài yêu thương dân mình,
Các thánh đều được Chúa bảo vệ trong tay Ngài,
Dưới chân Ngài, họ cúi đầu phủ phục,
Để tiếp nhận chỉ thị của Ngài,
4 Là Kinh Luật Môi-se đã truyền lại,
Là cơ nghiệp của hội chúng Gia-cốp.
5 Ngài là Vua của Giê-su-run,
Khi các cấp lãnh đạo của dân hội họp,
Với các bộ tộc Y-sơ-ra-ên.
6 Nguyện cho Ru-bên được sống, không bao giờ tuyệt giống,
Dù Ru-bên chỉ có ít người.”[a]
7 Môi-se nói về Giu-đa như sau:
“CHÚA ôi, xin nghe tiếng cầu cứu của Giu-đa,
Đem người về với dân mình.
Với tay mình người tự bảo vệ,
CHÚA ôi, xin giúp người chống lại quân thù.”
8 Môi-se nói về Lê-vi như sau:
“CHÚA bày tỏ ý muốn Ngài qua Thu-mim và U-rim,
Giao cho người trung thành cất giữ,
CHÚA thử thách người ở Ma-sa,
Và thử lòng người tại suối Mê-ri-ba.
9 Lê-vi yêu kính CHÚA:
Hơn cả cha mẹ,
Anh chị em và con cái,
Nhưng chỉ chú tâm vâng lời CHÚA,
Và gìn giữ giao ước Ngài.
10 Người dạy mạng lệnh CHÚA cho Gia-cốp,
Và Kinh Luật CHÚA cho Y-sơ-ra-ên,
Người đốt hương trước mặt Chúa,
Dâng tế lễ thiêu trên bàn thờ Ngài.
11 Lạy CHÚA, xin ban sức mới cho người,
Ban phước trên mọi công việc người làm.
Xin đánh bể hông kẻ nổi dậy nghịch người,
Triệt hạ kẻ thù người để chúng không ngóc đầu lên được.”
12 Môi-se nói về Bên-gia-min như sau:
“Nguyện người CHÚA yêu dấu,
Được nghỉ an toàn trong Ngài
Chúa che chở người suốt ngày,
Phải, người CHÚA yêu được ở giữa hai vai Ngài.”
13 Môi-se nói về Giô-sép như sau:
“Nguyện CHÚA ban phước cho xứ người,
Với sương móc quý từ trời sa xuống,
Với mạch nước phun lên từ nơi sâu thẳm,
14 Với sản phẩm hảo hạng của mặt trời,
Và những gì tốt nhất mặt trăng đem lại,
15 Rừng cây thơm ngát của núi ngàn xưa,
Cùng hoa quả của các đồi vĩnh cửu;
16 Nguyện Đấng hiện ra trong bụi gai,
Ban ân huệ cho đất đai trù phú, hoa lợi dồi dào.
Nguyện mọi phước lành tuôn tràn trên đầu Giô-sép,
Trên trán của người đứng đầu các anh em.
17 Người oai nghi lẫm liệt như bò đực đầu lòng,
Sừng người chính là sừng của bò rừng,
Người dùng sừng báng các dân tộc,
Cả những dân ở tận cùng trái đất.
Đó là hàng vạn quân của Ép-ra-im,
Hàng ngàn người của Ma-na-se.”
18 Môi-se nói về Sa-bu-luân như sau:
“Sa-bu-luân, hãy vui mừng khi tàu bè rời bến,
Y-sa-ca hãy hớn hở trong lều trại mình.
19 Anh chị em sẽ mời các dân lên núi,
Và tại đó dâng tế lễ theo nghi thức Chúa dạy;
Vì anh chị em hưởng tài nguyên phong phú của biển
Và các kho tàng chôn vùi dưới cát.”
20 Môi-se nói về Gát như sau:
“Ca tụng Đấng mở rộng bờ cõi Gát,
Gát sống như con sư tử cái,
Xé nát mồi cả tay lẫn đầu.
21 Người chọn cho mình phần đất tốt nhất,
Là phần dành cho nhà lãnh đạo.
Khi các cấp lãnh đạo dân chúng hội họp,
Người sẽ thực thi ý muốn công chính của CHÚA,
Và phán quyết của Ngài cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên.”
22 Môi-se nói về Đan như sau:
“Đan là sư tử tơ,
Từ Ba-san nhảy vọt tới.”
23 Môi-se nói về Nép-ta-li như sau:
“Nép-ta-li ngập tràn ân huệ của CHÚA,
Và đầy dẫy phước hạnh của Ngài;
Người chiếm hữu cả miền tây lẫn miền nam.”
24 Môi-se nói về A-se như sau:
“Nguyện A-se được phước hơn các bộ tộc khác,
Xin cho người được anh em mến chuộng,
Được dầm chân trong dầu,
25 Các cổng thành được gài then đồng then sắt,
Và sức mạnh người so bằng tuổi thọ.
26 Nào có ai như Đức Chúa Trời của Giê-su-run,
Đấng cỡi các từng trời đến cứu giúp ngươi,
Trên các áng mây, Ngài oai nghiêm tuyệt đỉnh.
27 Đức Chúa Trời vĩnh cửu là nơi ngươi trú ẩn,
Bên dưới ngươi có tay đời đời của Ngài nâng đỡ,
Ngài đánh đuổi quân thù trước mặt ngươi,
Rồi bảo ngươi rằng: ‘Hãy diệt chúng đi’,
28 Nhờ vậy Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ sống an toàn,
Gia-cốp ở riêng biệt trong một xứ,
Đầy tràn hoa màu và rượu nho mới,
Xứ đượm nhuần sương móc từ trời.
29 Y-sơ-ra-ên ơi, ngươi là dân được phước,
Ai giống như ngươi,
Một dân được CHÚA cứu?
CHÚA là thuẫn che chở, là Đấng cứu giúp ngươi,
Là thanh gươm cho ngươi đắc thắng vẻ vang.
Quân thù sẽ phủ phục trước mặt ngươi,
Còn ngươi sẽ chà đạp trên lưng chúng nó.”

Moses Reviews the Tribes of Israel
33 This is the blessing with which Moses, the man of God, blessed the Israelis before his death. 2 He said:
“The Lord came from Sinai.
Rising from Seir upon us,[a]
he shone forth from Mount Paran,
accompanied[b] by a myriad[c] of his holy ones,
with flaming fire from his right hand for them.
3 Indeed, lover of people,
all of his holy ones are in your control.[d]
They gather at your feet
to do as you have instructed.[e]
4 Moses commanded with the Law,
an inheritance for the community of Jacob.
5 The Lord[f] was king of Jeshurun[g]
when the leaders of the people—
all the tribes of Israel—gathered together.”
Reuben
6 “May Reuben live and not die,
though his numbers are few.”
Judah
7 He declared this about Judah:
“Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah
and return him to his people.
With his own strength he fights for himself,
and you will be of assistance[h] against[i] his enemies.”
Levi
8 About Levi he said:
“Let your Thummim and Urim[j] be with the man
to whom you showed gracious love,
whom you tested at Massah
and with whom you struggled
at the waters of Meribah,
9 the one who told his mother and father,
‘I don’t know[k] them,’
and who would neither acknowledge his brothers
nor know his own children.
For they kept your word
and guarded your covenant.
10 They will teach your ordinances to Jacob,
and your Law to Israel.
They will offer incense as a pleasant aroma to you[l]
and a whole burnt offering upon your altar.
11 Lord, bless his substance
and approve the work that he undertakes.[m]
Shatter the legs[n] of those who oppose against him;
may those who hate him stand no more.”
Benjamin
12 About Benjamin he said:
“The beloved of the Lord will live confidently,
the Most High protecting[o] him all day long,
and resting in his bosom.[p]”
Joseph
13 About Joseph he said:
“May the blessing of the Lord be on his land:
dew from the choicest of the heavens,
and from the depths beneath;
14 from the choicest products of the sun,
the rich fruit of the harvest moon,[q]
15 the choicest portion[r] of the eternal mountains,
and the best of the everlasting hills;
16 from the choicest of the earth and its fullness,
and the favor of the one who lived in the burning[s] bush.
May blessing[t] rest on Joseph’s head,
and on the crown of the head
of the one set apart from his brothers.
17 May the firstborn of his bull be honorable to him,
and may his horns be those of a wild ox.
With them may he push people all together,
to the ends of the earth.
These are the myriads[u] of Ephraim
and the thousands of Manasseh.”
Zebulun and Issachar
18 About Zebulun he said:
“Zebulun, rejoice as you go out
and Issachar, in being inside your tents.
19 They will call the nations[v] to the mountain,
and there they will offer righteous sacrifices,
for they’ll draw from the abundance of the sea
and from the hidden treasures of the sand.”
Gad
20 About Gad he said:
“Blessed be the one who enlarges Gad!
Like a roaring lion, he crouches,
tearing arm and scalp.
21 He chose the best part for himself,
when the leader’s portion was assigned.
He came at the head of the people,
carrying out the Lord’s justice
and his ordinances concerning Israel.”
Dan
22 About Dan he said:
“Dan is a lion’s cub,
leaping forth from Bashan.”
Naphtali
23 About Naphtali he said:
“Naphtali, full of favor and the Lord’s blessing,
take possession of the west[w] and south.”
Asher
24 About Asher he said:
“May Asher be blessed, along with his descendants,
may his brothers be pleased with him,
may he dip his feet in oil,
25 may your bolts be made of iron and bronze,
and may your strength be sufficient for each day you live.”
Israel’s Defender
26 “There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,[x]
who rides through the heavens
with its lofty clouds to help you.
27 The God of old is a dwelling place,
with everlasting arms underneath.
He drove out your enemies before you
and said: ‘Destroy them!’
28 So Israel lives in confidence,
isolated as the fountain of Jacob
in a land of grain and new wine,
where the heavens rain down dew.
29 How blessed are you, Israel!
Who can be like you,
a people delivered by the Lord,
your shield of help and
your finely crafted sword.
May your enemies cower before you.
You will tread down their high places.”

Moses Blesses the Tribes(A)
33 This is the blessing(B) that Moses the man of God(C) pronounced on the Israelites before his death. 2 He said:
“The Lord came from Sinai(D)
and dawned over them from Seir;(E)
he shone forth(F) from Mount Paran.(G)
He came with[a] myriads of holy ones(H)
from the south, from his mountain slopes.[b]
3 Surely it is you who love(I) the people;
all the holy ones are in your hand.(J)
At your feet they all bow down,(K)
and from you receive instruction,
4 the law that Moses gave us,(L)
the possession of the assembly of Jacob.(M)
5 He was king(N) over Jeshurun[c](O)
when the leaders of the people assembled,
along with the tribes of Israel.
7 And this he said about Judah:(Q)
“Hear, Lord, the cry of Judah;
bring him to his people.
With his own hands he defends his cause.
Oh, be his help against his foes!”
8 About Levi(R) he said:
“Your Thummim and Urim(S) belong
to your faithful servant.(T)
You tested(U) him at Massah;
you contended with him at the waters of Meribah.(V)
9 He said of his father and mother,(W)
‘I have no regard for them.’
He did not recognize his brothers
or acknowledge his own children,
but he watched over your word
and guarded your covenant.(X)
10 He teaches(Y) your precepts to Jacob
and your law to Israel.(Z)
He offers incense before you(AA)
and whole burnt offerings on your altar.(AB)
11 Bless all his skills, Lord,
and be pleased with the work of his hands.(AC)
Strike down those who rise against him,
his foes till they rise no more.”
12 About Benjamin(AD) he said:
“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him,(AE)
for he shields him all day long,(AF)
and the one the Lord loves(AG) rests between his shoulders.(AH)”
13 About Joseph(AI) he said:
“May the Lord bless his land
with the precious dew from heaven above
and with the deep waters that lie below;(AJ)
14 with the best the sun brings forth
and the finest the moon can yield;
15 with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains(AK)
and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills;
16 with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness
and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush.(AL)
Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,
on the brow of the prince among[e] his brothers.(AM)
17 In majesty he is like a firstborn bull;
his horns(AN) are the horns of a wild ox.(AO)
With them he will gore(AP) the nations,
even those at the ends of the earth.
Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim;(AQ)
such are the thousands of Manasseh.(AR)”
18 About Zebulun(AS) he said:
“Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out,
and you, Issachar,(AT) in your tents.
19 They will summon peoples to the mountain(AU)
and there offer the sacrifices of the righteous;(AV)
they will feast on the abundance of the seas,(AW)
on the treasures hidden in the sand.”
20 About Gad(AX) he said:
“Blessed is he who enlarges Gad’s domain!(AY)
Gad lives there like a lion,
tearing at arm or head.
21 He chose the best land for himself;(AZ)
the leader’s portion was kept for him.(BA)
When the heads of the people assembled,
he carried out the Lord’s righteous will,(BB)
and his judgments concerning Israel.”
22 About Dan(BC) he said:
“Dan is a lion’s cub,
springing out of Bashan.”
23 About Naphtali(BD) he said:
“Naphtali is abounding with the favor of the Lord
and is full of his blessing;
he will inherit southward to the lake.”
24 About Asher(BE) he said:
“Most blessed of sons is Asher;
let him be favored by his brothers,
and let him bathe his feet in oil.(BF)
25 The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze,(BG)
and your strength will equal your days.(BH)
26 “There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,(BI)
who rides(BJ) across the heavens to help you(BK)
and on the clouds(BL) in his majesty.(BM)
27 The eternal(BN) God is your refuge,(BO)
and underneath are the everlasting(BP) arms.
He will drive out your enemies before you,(BQ)
saying, ‘Destroy them!’(BR)
28 So Israel will live in safety;(BS)
Jacob will dwell[f] secure
in a land of grain and new wine,
where the heavens drop dew.(BT)
29 Blessed are you, Israel!(BU)
Who is like you,(BV)
a people saved by the Lord?(BW)
He is your shield and helper(BX)
and your glorious sword.
Your enemies will cower before you,
and you will tread on their heights.(BY)”
