Iniquidad y rebelión de Israel
7 Cuando yo quería curar a Israel,
se descubrió la iniquidad de Efraín(A)
y las maldades de Samaria,
porque practican el engaño(B);
el ladrón entra,
los bandidos despojan por fuera(C),
2 y ellos no consideran en[a] su corazón
que yo recuerdo toda su maldad(D).
Ahora les rodean sus hechos(E),
ante mi rostro están.
3 Con su maldad(F) alegran al rey(G),
y con sus mentiras a los príncipes(H).
4 Todos ellos son adúlteros(I);
son como horno encendido por el hornero,
que deja de atizar el fuego
desde que prepara[b] la masa hasta que fermenta.
5 En la fiesta[c] de nuestro rey, los príncipes se enfermaron por el calor del vino(J);
él extendió la mano a los escarnecedores(K),
6 pues sus corazones son como un horno
mientras se acercan a su emboscada;
toda la noche duerme su ira[d],
por la mañana arde como llamas de fuego(L).
7 Todos ellos están calientes como un horno,
y devoran a sus gobernantes(M);
todos sus reyes han caído.
No hay entre ellos quien me invoque(N).
8 Efraín se mezcla con las naciones[e](O);
Efraín es como una torta no volteada.
9 Devoran extranjeros su fuerza(P),
y él no lo sabe(Q);
también tiene cabellos canos,
y él no lo sabe.
10 Testifica contra él[f] el orgullo de Israel(R),
pero no se han vuelto al Señor su Dios,
ni lo han buscado(S) a pesar de todo esto.
11 Efraín es como paloma incauta(T), sin entendimiento[g](U);
llaman a Egipto(V), acuden a Asiria(W).
12 Cuando vayan, tenderé sobre ellos mi red(X),
como aves del cielo los haré caer;
los castigaré conforme a lo anunciado a su congregación[h](Y).
13 ¡Ay de ellos(Z), pues de mí se han alejado(AA)!
Sobre ellos vendrá[i] la destrucción, porque contra mí se han rebelado;
yo los redimiría, pero ellos hablan mentiras contra mí(AB).
14 Y no claman a mí(AC) de corazón
cuando gimen en sus lechos;
por el trigo y el mosto se reunen[j](AD),
y se alejan de mí(AE).
15 Aunque yo adiestré y fortalecí sus brazos,
traman el mal contra mí(AF).
16 Se vuelven, pero no hacia lo alto[k],
son como un arco engañoso(AG).
Sus príncipes caerán a espada
por la insolencia[l] de sus lenguas(AH);
esto será su escarnio en la tierra de Egipto(AI).

7 когда Я исцелю Исраил,
откроются грехи Ефраима
и преступления столицы Самарии будут разоблачены.
Люди обманывают,
воры пробираются в дома,
разбойники грабят на улицах,
2 но они не понимают,
что Я помню все их злые дела.
Грехи их окружают их,
грехи их всегда передо Мной.
Заговор против царя
3 – Они веселят царя своим злодейством,
вождей – своей ложью.
4 Все они – распутники,
пылают, словно тандыр,
в котором пекарю не нужно поддерживать огонь,
пока он замешивает тесто,
и пока оно не поднимется.
5 В день праздника нашего царя
вожди напиваются вином до бесчувствия,
а царь протягивает свою руку насмешникам.
6 Их сердца, словно тандыр,
горят интригами.
Их злоба теплится всю ночь,
а утром она горит, как пылающий огонь.
7 Все они раскалены, как тандыр,
истребляют своих же правителей,
низвергают царя за царём,
но никто не взывает ко Мне.[a]
Исраил ищет помощи не у Вечного
8 – Ефраим смешался с нечестивыми народами;
Ефраим уподобился неперевёрнутой лепёшке,
подгоревшей с одной стороны
и недопечённой с другой.
9 Чужестранцы поедают его силы,
а он и не осознаёт.
Его волос стал седым,
а он и не замечает.
10 Гордость Исраила свидетельствует против него,
но, при всём этом,
он не возвращается к Вечному, своему Богу,
и не ищет Его.
11 Ефраим стал как голубь,
глупый и ничего не смыслящий.
То он взывает к Египту,
то идёт в Ассирию.
12 Когда они пойдут, Я накину на них Свою сеть;
Я низвергну их, как птиц небесных.
Я накажу их,
как было сказано их собранию.
13 Горе им,
потому что они удалились от Меня!
Гибель им,
потому что они восстали против Меня!
Я хочу искупить их,
а они лгут обо Мне.
14 Они не взывают ко Мне от всего сердца,
а причитают на своих ложах.
Они наносят себе порезы[b] из-за хлеба и молодого вина,
но отворачиваются от Меня.
15 И хотя Я вразумлял и укреплял их,
они всё равно замышляют зло против Меня.
16 Они обращаются, но не к Высочайшему;
они – как неверный лук.
Вожди их падут от меча
из-за своих дерзких слов.
За это над ними будут смеяться
в земле Египта.

7 1 whenever I would heal Israel,
the sins of Ephraim are exposed
and the crimes of Samaria revealed.(A)
They practice deceit,(B)
thieves break into houses,(C)
bandits rob in the streets;(D)
2 but they do not realize
that I remember(E) all their evil deeds.(F)
Their sins engulf them;(G)
they are always before me.
3 “They delight the king with their wickedness,
the princes with their lies.(H)
4 They are all adulterers,(I)
burning like an oven
whose fire the baker need not stir
from the kneading of the dough till it rises.
5 On the day of the festival of our king
the princes become inflamed with wine,(J)
and he joins hands with the mockers.(K)
6 Their hearts are like an oven;(L)
they approach him with intrigue.
Their passion smolders all night;
in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.
7 All of them are hot as an oven;
they devour their rulers.
All their kings fall,(M)
and none of them calls(N) on me.
8 “Ephraim mixes(O) with the nations;
Ephraim is a flat loaf not turned over.
9 Foreigners sap his strength,(P)
but he does not realize it.
His hair is sprinkled with gray,
but he does not notice.
10 Israel’s arrogance testifies against him,(Q)
but despite all this
he does not return(R) to the Lord his God
or search(S) for him.
11 “Ephraim is like a dove,(T)
easily deceived and senseless—
now calling to Egypt,(U)
now turning to Assyria.(V)
12 When they go, I will throw my net(W) over them;
I will pull them down like the birds in the sky.
When I hear them flocking together,
I will catch them.
13 Woe(X) to them,
because they have strayed(Y) from me!
Destruction to them,
because they have rebelled against me!
I long to redeem them
but they speak about me(Z) falsely.(AA)
14 They do not cry out to me from their hearts(AB)
but wail on their beds.
They slash themselves,[a] appealing to their gods
for grain and new wine,(AC)
but they turn away from me.(AD)
15 I trained(AE) them and strengthened their arms,
but they plot evil(AF) against me.
16 They do not turn to the Most High;(AG)
they are like a faulty bow.(AH)
Their leaders will fall by the sword
because of their insolent(AI) words.
For this they will be ridiculed(AJ)
in the land of Egypt.(AK)
