2 [a]Decid a vuestros hermanos: Ammí[b], y a vuestras hermanas: Ruhamá[c].
2 Contended con vuestra madre(A), contended,
porque ella no es mi mujer(B), y yo no soy su marido;
que quite, pues, de su rostro sus prostituciones(C),
y sus adulterios de entre sus pechos;
3 no sea que yo la desnude completamente(D)
y la deje como el día en que nació(E),
y la ponga como un desierto(F),
la reduzca a tierra seca
y la mate de sed(G).

2 “Rebuke your mother,(B) rebuke her,
for she is not my wife,
and I am not her husband.
Let her remove the adulterous(C) look from her face
and the unfaithfulness from between her breasts.
3 Otherwise I will strip(D) her naked
and make her as bare as on the day she was born;(E)
I will make her like a desert,(F)
turn her into a parched land,
and slay her with thirst.
