The Message
Nazirite Vows
6 1-4 God spoke to Moses: “Speak to the People of Israel; tell them, If any of you, man or woman, wants to make a special Nazirite vow, consecrating yourself totally to God, you must not drink any wine or beer, no intoxicating drink of any kind, not even the juice of grapes—in fact, you must not even eat grapes or raisins. For the duration of the consecration, nothing from the grapevine—not even the seeds, not even the skin—may be eaten.
5 “Also, for the duration of the consecration you must not have your hair cut. Your long hair will be a continuing sign of holy separation to God.
6-7 “Also, for the duration of the consecration to God, you must not go near a corpse. Even if it’s the body of your father or mother, brother or sister, you must not ritually defile yourself because the sign of consecration to God is on your head.
8 “For the entire duration of your consecration you are holy to God.
9-12 “If someone should die suddenly in your presence, so that your consecrated head is ritually defiled, you must shave your head on the day of your purifying, that is, the seventh day. Then on the eighth day bring two doves or two pigeons to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. The priest will offer one for the Absolution-Offering and one for the Whole-Burnt-Offering, purifying you from the ritual contamination of the corpse. You resanctify your hair on that day and reconsecrate your Nazirite consecration to God by bringing a yearling lamb for a Compensation-Offering. You start over; the previous days don’t count because your consecration was ritually defiled.
13-17 “These are the instructions for the time set when your special consecration to God is up. First, you are to be brought to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Then you will present your offerings to God: a healthy yearling lamb for the Whole-Burnt-Offering, a healthy yearling ewe for an Absolution-Offering, a healthy ram for a Peace-Offering, a basket of unraised bread made of fine flour, loaves mixed with oil, and crackers spread with oil, along with your Grain-Offerings and Drink-Offerings. The priest will approach God and offer up your Absolution-Offering and Whole-Burnt-Offering. He will sacrifice the ram as a Peace-Offering to God with the basket of unraised bread, and, last of all, the Grain-Offering and Drink-Offering.
18 “At the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, shave off the hair you consecrated and put it in the fire that is burning under the Peace-Offering.
19-20 “After you have shaved the hair of your consecration, the priest will take a shoulder from the ram, boiled, and a piece of unraised bread and a cracker from the basket and place them in your hands. The priest will then wave them before God, a Wave-Offering. They are holy and belong to the priest, along with the breast that was waved and the thigh that was offered.
“Now you are free to drink wine.
21 “These are the instructions for Nazirites as they bring offerings to God in their vow of consecration, beyond their other offerings. They must carry out the vow they have vowed following the instructions for the Nazirite.”
The Aaronic Blessing
22-23 God spoke to Moses: “Tell Aaron and his sons, This is how you are to bless the People of Israel. Say to them,
24 God bless you and keep you,
25 God smile on you and gift you,
26 God look you full in the face
and make you prosper.
27 In so doing, they will place my name on the People of Israel—
I will confirm it by blessing them.”

The Law of the Nazirite
6 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When either a man or woman [a]consecrates an offering to take the vow of a Nazirite, (A)to separate himself to the Lord, 3 (B)he shall separate himself from wine and similar drink; he shall drink neither vinegar made from wine nor vinegar made from similar drink; neither shall he drink any grape juice, nor eat fresh grapes or raisins. 4 All the days of his [b]separation he shall eat nothing that is produced by the grapevine, from seed to skin.
5 ‘All the days of the vow of his separation no (C)razor shall come upon his head; until the days are fulfilled for which he separated himself to the Lord, he shall be holy. Then he shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow. 6 All the days that he separates himself to the Lord (D)he shall not go near a dead body. 7 (E)He shall not [c]make himself unclean even for his father or his mother, for his brother or his sister, when they die, because his separation to God is on his head. 8 (F)All the days of his separation he shall be holy to the Lord.
9 ‘And if anyone dies very suddenly beside him, and he defiles his consecrated head, then he shall (G)shave his head on the day of his cleansing; on the seventh day he shall shave it. 10 Then (H)on the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting; 11 and the priest shall offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, and make atonement for him, because he sinned in regard to the corpse; and he shall sanctify his head that same day. 12 He shall consecrate to the Lord the days of his separation, and bring a male lamb in its first year (I)as a trespass offering; but the former days shall be [d]lost, because his separation was defiled.
13 ‘Now this is the law of the Nazirite: (J)When the days of his separation are fulfilled, he shall be brought to the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 14 And he shall present his offering to the Lord: one male lamb in its first year without blemish as a burnt offering, one ewe lamb in its first year without blemish (K)as a sin offering, one ram without blemish (L)as a peace offering, 15 a basket of unleavened bread, (M)cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, unleavened wafers (N)anointed with oil, and their grain offering with their (O)drink offerings.
16 ‘Then the priest shall bring them before the Lord and offer his sin offering and his burnt offering; 17 and he shall offer the ram as a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord, with the basket of unleavened bread; the priest shall also offer its grain offering and its drink offering. 18 (P)Then the Nazirite shall shave his consecrated head at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and shall take the hair from his consecrated head and put it on the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offering.
19 ‘And the priest shall take the (Q)boiled shoulder of the ram, one (R)unleavened cake from the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and (S)put them upon the hands of the Nazirite after he has shaved his consecrated hair, 20 and the priest shall wave them as a wave offering before the Lord; (T)they are holy for the priest, together with the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering. After that the Nazirite may drink wine.’
21 “This is the law of the Nazirite who vows to the Lord the offering for his separation, and besides that, whatever else his hand is able to provide; according to the vow which he takes, so he must do according to the law of his separation.”
The Priestly Blessing
22 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:
24 “The Lord (U)bless you and (V)keep you;
25 The Lord (W)make His face shine upon you,
And (X)be gracious to you;
26 (Y)The Lord [e]lift up His countenance upon you,
And (Z)give you peace.” ’
27 (AA)“So they shall [f]put My name on the children of Israel, and (AB)I will bless them.”

2 – Говори с исраильтянами и скажи им: «Если мужчина или женщина даст обет назорейства[a], чтобы посвятить себя Вечному, 3 то пусть они воздержатся от вина и других алкогольных напитков и не употребляют уксуса, изготовленного из вина или другого алкогольного напитка. Им нельзя пить виноградный сок и есть виноград или изюм. 4 Во всё время назорейства им нельзя есть ничего с виноградной лозы – даже зёрнышки и кожицу ягод.
5 Во всё время обета назорейства пусть их головы не касается бритва. Пусть они будут святы, пока не закончится время их посвящения Вечному; пусть они дадут волосам на голове отрасти. 6 Во всё время их посвящения Вечному им нельзя приближаться к мёртвому телу. 7 Даже если умрут их отец, мать, брат или сестра, им нельзя осквернять волосы из-за них, потому что это знак их посвящения Всевышнему. 8 Всё время их назорейства они посвящены Вечному.
9 Если кто-то внезапно умрёт в их присутствии, и волосы, которые они освятили, будут осквернены, то пусть они остригут голову в день своего очищения, в седьмой день. 10 На восьмой день пусть они принесут священнослужителю ко входу в шатёр встречи двух горлиц или двух молодых голубей. 11 Пусть священнослужитель принесёт одну из птиц в жертву за грех, а другую – во всесожжение, чтобы очистить их, потому что они осквернились, находясь рядом с мёртвым телом. Предыдущие дни не засчитываются, потому что они осквернили своё назорейство.
13 Вот закон о назорее. Когда время его освящения закончится, его нужно привести ко входу в шатёр встречи. 14 Пусть он принесёт там жертвы Вечному: годовалого ягнёнка-самца без изъяна во всесожжение, годовалую самку без изъяна в жертву за грех, барана без изъяна в жертву примирения 15 с положенными хлебными приношениями и жертвенными возлияниями и корзину пресного хлеба с хлебами из лучшей муки, замешенными на масле, и коржами, помазанными маслом.
16 Священнослужитель представит эти приношения перед Вечным и принесёт жертву за грех и всесожжение. 17 Затем он принесёт Вечному барана как жертву примирения вместе с корзиной пресного хлеба, а также совершит хлебное приношение и жертвенные возлияния.
18 Пусть у входа в шатёр встречи назорей острижёт волосы своего посвящения. Пусть он возьмёт их и бросит в огонь, горящий под жертвой примирения.
19 Когда назорей острижёт волосы своего посвящения, пусть священнослужитель даст ему в руки варёную баранью лопатку с пресным хлебом и пресным коржом из корзины. 20 Пусть священнослужитель потрясёт их перед Вечным как приношение потрясания; они священны и принадлежат священнослужителю вместе с грудиной потрясания и бедром возношения. После этого назорей может пить вино.
21 Таков закон о назорее, который посвящает Вечному по обету приношение за своё назорейство, кроме того, что позволит ему его достаток. Пусть он исполнит обет, который он дал, по закону о назорействе».
Священническое благословение
22 Вечный сказал Мусе:
23 – Скажи Харуну и его сыновьям: «Благословляйте исраильтян, говоря им:
24 Да благословит тебя Вечный
и сохранит тебя;
25 да озарит тебя Вечный светом лица Своего
и будет милостив к тебе;
26 да обратит Вечный к тебе лицо Своё
и дарует тебе мир».
27 Так они будут призывать Моё имя на исраильтян, и Я буду благословлять их.
