2 Now Balak(A) son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. 3 Moab was terrified of the people because they were numerous, and Moab dreaded the Israelites. 4 So the Moabites said to the elders of Midian, “This horde will devour everything around us like an ox eats up the green plants in the field.”

New International Version
2 Now Balak son of Zippor(A) saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites, 3 and Moab was terrified because there were so many people. Indeed, Moab was filled with dread(B) because of the Israelites.
4 The Moabites(C) said to the elders of Midian,(D) “This horde is going to lick up everything(E) around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.(F)”
So Balak son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time,
