12 Na ka whakahe a Miriama rau ko Arona ki a Mohi mo te wahine Kuhi i marenatia e ia: he wahine Kuhi hoki tana i marena ai.
2 A ka mea raua, Koia ranei i a Mohi anake nga korero a Ihowa? kahore ranei ana korero hoki i a maua? A ka rongo a Ihowa.
3 Na, he tangata mahaki rawa a Mohi i nga tangata katoa o te mata o te whenua.
4 Na i ohorere tunu te korerotanga a Ihowa ki a Mohi ratou ko Arona, ko Miriama, Puta mai koutou tokotoru ki te tapenakara o te whakaminenga. A ka puta atu ratu tokotoru.
5 Na ka heke iho a Ihowa i roto i te pou kapua, a ka tu ki te whatitoka o te tapenakara, ka karanga hoki ki a Arona raua ko Miriama: a ka puta raua.
6 A ka mea ia, Tena, whakarongo ki aku korero: ki te mea he poropiti kei a koutou, ka whakaatu atu ahau, a Ihowa i ahau ki a ia, he mea whakakite, he korero moemoea ki a ia.
7 Ehara taku pononga, a Mohi i te pera; he pono ia i toku whare katoa:
8 Ka korero ahau ki a ia, he mangai, he mangai, he korero mata nui, kahore hoki he kupu ngaro; a e kite ano ia i te ahua o Ihowa: he aha ra korua te wehi ai ki te whakahe mo taku pononga, mo Mohi?
9 Na ka mutu te riri o Ihowa ki a raua, a haere ana ia.
10 Na ka riro atu te kapua i runga i te tapenakara: na! he repera a Miriama, kua rite ki te hukarere: a ka titiro a Arona ki a Miriama, e! he repera.
11 Na ka mea a Arona ki a Mohi, Aue, e toku ariki, kaua e utaina ki a maua tenei hara i poauau nei, i hara nei maua.
12 Kei rite ia ki te mea kua mate, ki te mea kua pau tetahi wahi o ona kikokiko i te putanga mai i te kopu o tona whaea.
13 Na ka karanga atu a Mohi ki a Ihowa, ka mea, E te Atua, tena ra, whakaorangia ia.
14 Na ka mea a Ihowa, ki a Mohi, Me i tuwha kau tona papa ki tona mata e kore ianei ia e whakama, a whitu noa nga ra? kia whitu nga ra e tutakina atu ai ia ki waho o te puni, a muri iho ka mauria mai ano.
15 Na tutakina atu ana a Miriama ki waho o te puni, e whitu nga ra; kihai ano hoki te iwi i haere, kia whakahokia mai ra ano a Miriama.
16 A muri iho ka turia e te iwi i Hateroto, a noho ana i te koraha o Parana.

12 Mirjam og Aron tog til Orde mod Moses i Anledning af den kusjitiske Kvinde, han havde ægtet - han havde nemlig ægtet en kusjitisk Kvinde - 2 og sagde: "Har Herren kun talet til Moses? Mon han ikke også har talet til os?" Og Herren hørte det. 3 Men den Mand Moses var såre sagtmodig, sagtmodigere end noget andet Menneske på Jorden.
4 Da sagde Herren i det samme til Moses, Aron og Mirjam: "Gå alle tre ud til Åbenbaringsteltet!" Og de gik alle tre derud. 5 Men Herren steg ned i Skystøtten og stillede sig ved Indgangen til Teltet og kaldte på Aron og Mirjam, og de gik begge derud. 6 Da sagde han: "Hør, hvad jeg siger: Når der ellers er en Profet iblandt eder, giver jeg mig til Kende for ham i Syner eller taler med ham i Drømme. 7 Anderledes er det med min Tjener Moses: han er tro i hele mit Hus; 8 med ham taler jeg Ansigt til Ansigt, ikke i Syner eller Gåder, han skuer Herrens Skikkelse; hvor tør I da tage til Orde mod min Tjener Moses?" 9 Og Herrens Vrede blussede op imod dem, og han gik bort. 10 Da så Skyen trak sig bort fra Teltet, se, da var Mirjam hvid som Sne af Spedalskhed, og da Aron vendte sig mod Mirjam, se, da var hun spedalsk. 11 Da sagde Aron til Moses: "Ak, Herre, lad os dog ikke undgælde for den Synd, vi i Dårskab begik! 12 Lad hende dog ikke blive som et dødfødt Barn, hvis Kød er halvt fortæret, når det kommer ud af Moders Liv!" 13 Moses råbte da til Herren og sagde: "Ak, gør hende dog rask igen!" 14 Og Herren svarede Moses: "Hvis hendes Fader havde spyttet hende i Ansigtet, måtte hun da ikke have båret sin Skam i syv Dage? Derfor skal hun i syv Dage være udelukket fra Lejren; så kan hun atter optages." 15 Da blev Mirjam udelukket fra Lejren i syv Dage, og Folket brød ikke op, før Mirjam atter var optaget. 16 Så brød Folket op fra Hazerot og slog Lejr i Parans Ørken.

Miriam and Aaron Oppose Moses
12 Miriam(A) and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife,(B) for he had married a Cushite. 2 “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?”(C) And the Lord heard this.(D)
3 (Now Moses was a very humble man,(E) more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)
4 At once the Lord said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them went out. 5 Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud;(F) he stood at the entrance to the tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward, 6 he said, “Listen to my words:
“When there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, reveal(G) myself to them in visions,(H)
I speak to them in dreams.(I)
7 But this is not true of my servant Moses;(J)
he is faithful in all my house.(K)
8 With him I speak face to face,
clearly and not in riddles;(L)
he sees the form of the Lord.(M)
Why then were you not afraid
to speak against my servant Moses?”(N)
9 The anger of the Lord burned against them,(O) and he left them.(P)
10 When the cloud lifted from above the tent,(Q) Miriam’s skin was leprous[a]—it became as white as snow.(R) Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defiling skin disease,(S) 11 and he said to Moses, “Please, my lord, I ask you not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed.(T) 12 Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its flesh half eaten away.”
13 So Moses cried out to the Lord, “Please, God, heal her!(U)”
14 The Lord replied to Moses, “If her father had spit in her face,(V) would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Confine her outside the camp(W) for seven days; after that she can be brought back.” 15 So Miriam was confined outside the camp(X) for seven days,(Y) and the people did not move on till she was brought back.
16 After that, the people left Hazeroth(Z) and encamped in the Desert of Paran.(AA)
