^22 (A)Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, and be enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, and be enough for them?”

³³ And the disciples said to him, “Where are we to get enough bread in such a desolate place to feed so great a crowd?”

⁹ “There is a boy here who has five ^(A)barley loaves and two fish, but ^(B)what are they for so many?”

⁶ He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do. ^7 (A)Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii^[a] worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.”

³⁴ And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”^[a]

¹⁸ And Zechariah said to the angel, ^(A)“How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.”

⁴ And his disciples answered him, “How can one feed these people with bread here in this desolate place?”

³⁷ But he answered them, ^(A)“You give them something to eat.” And ^(B)they said to him, ^(C)“Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii^[a] worth of bread and give it to them to eat?”

² Then ^(A)the captain on whose hand the king leaned said to the man of God, ^(B)“If the Lord himself should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” But he said, “You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”
