Panalangin ng Isang Mabuting Tao
Katha ni David.
26 Ipahayag mo ako, Yahweh, na walang sala,
pagkat ako'y matuwid at sa iyo'y lubos na umaasa.
2 Yahweh, ako'y siyasatin mo at subukin,
hatulan mo ang iniisip at ang aking hangarin.
3 Pag-ibig mong wagas ang aking patnubay,
ang iyong katapatan ang lagi kong kaagapay.
4 Di ako nakikisama sa walang kuwentang tao,
hindi ako nakikiisa sa mga hipokrito.
5 Ang nakikisama sa kanila ay aking kinamumuhian,
at ang makihalo sa kanila'y aking iniiwasan.
6 Kamay ko'y malinis pagkat ako'y walang kasalanan,
ako'y lumalakad, Yahweh, sa paligid ng iyong altar.
7 Awit ng pasasalamat ay aking inaawit,
gawa mong kahanga-hanga, ay aking sinasambit.
8 Mahal ko, Yahweh, ang Templo mong tahanan,
sapagkat naroroon ang iyong kaluwalhatian.
9 Sa parusa ng masasama, huwag mo akong idamay,
ilayo rin sa parusa ng mahihilig sa pagpatay—
10 mga taong walang magawâ kundi kasamaan,
at palaging naghihintay na sila ay suhulan.
11 Ngunit para sa akin, gagawin ko ang tama,
kaya iligtas mo ako at sa akin ay maawa.
12 Ako ay ligtas sa lahat ng kapahamakan;
pupurihin ko si Yahweh sa gitna ng kapulungan!

The Prayer of an Innocent Man
Of David.
26 Lord, defend me.
I have lived an innocent life.
I trusted the Lord and never doubted.
2 Lord, try me and test me.
Look closely into my heart and mind.
3 I see your love.
I live by your truth.
4 I do not spend time with liars.
I do not make friends with people who hide their sin.
5 I hate the company of evil people.
I won’t sit with the wicked.
6 I wash my hands to show I am innocent.
I come to your altar, Lord.
7 I raise my voice in praise.
I tell of all the miracles you have done.
8 Lord, I love the Temple where you live.
It is where your greatness is.
9 Do not kill me with those sinners.
Do not take my life with those murderers.
10 Evil is in their hands.
They do wrong for money.
11 But I have lived an innocent life.
So save me and be kind to me.
12 I stand in a safe place.
Lord, I praise you in the great meeting.

1 Vindicate me,(A) Lord,
for I have led a blameless life;(B)
I have trusted(C) in the Lord
and have not faltered.(D)
2 Test me,(E) Lord, and try me,
examine my heart and my mind;(F)
3 for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love(G)
and have lived(H) in reliance on your faithfulness.(I)
4 I do not sit(J) with the deceitful,
nor do I associate with hypocrites.(K)
5 I abhor(L) the assembly of evildoers
and refuse to sit with the wicked.
6 I wash my hands in innocence,(M)
and go about your altar, Lord,
7 proclaiming aloud your praise(N)
and telling of all your wonderful deeds.(O)
8 Lord, I love(P) the house where you live,
the place where your glory dwells.(Q)
9 Do not take away my soul along with sinners,
my life with those who are bloodthirsty,(R)
10 in whose hands are wicked schemes,(S)
whose right hands are full of bribes.(T)
11 I lead a blameless life;
deliver me(U) and be merciful to me.

26 Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.
2 Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
6 I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord:
7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
8 Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
11 But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the Lord.
