Lubos ang Kaalaman at Paglingap ng Diyos
Isang Awit na katha ni David upang awitin ng Punong Mang-aawit.
139 Ako'y iyong siniyasat, batid mo ang aking buhay,
ang lahat kong lihim, Yahweh, ay tiyak mong nalalaman.
2 Ang lahat ng gawain ko, sa iyo ay hindi lingid,
kahit ikaw ay malayo, batid mo ang aking isip.
3 Ako'y iyong nakikita, gumagawa o hindi man,
ang lahat ng gawain ko'y pawang iyong nalalaman.
4 Di pa ako umiimik, yaong aking sasabihi'y
alam mo nang lahat iyon, lahat ay di malilihim.
5 Ika'y laging kapiling ko, katabi ko oras-oras,
ang likas mong kalakasan ang sa aki'y nag-iingat.
6 Nagtataka ang sarili't alam mo ang aking buhay,
di ko kayang unawain iyang iyong karunungan.
7 Saan ako magpupunta, upang ako'y makatakas?
Sa iyo bang Espiritu,[a] ako ba'y makakaiwas?
8 Kung langit ang puntahan ko, tiyak na naroroon ka,
sa daigdig ng mga patay, humimlay man ako'y ikaw din ang kasama;
9 kung ako ay makalipad, umiwas na pasilangan,
o kaya ang tirahan ko'y ang duluhan ng kanluran;
10 tiyak ikaw ay naroon, upang ako'y pangunahan,
matatagpo kita roon upang ako ay tulungan.
11 Kung ang aking pagtaguan ay ang dilim na pusikit,
padiliming parang gabi ang liwanag sa paligid;
12 maging itong kadiliman sa iyo ay hindi dilim,
at sa iyo yaong gabi'y parang araw na maningning,
madilim ma't maliwanag, sa iyo ay pareho rin.
13 Ang anumang aking sangkap, ikaw, O Diyos, ang lumikha,
sa tiyan ng aking ina'y hinugis mo akong bata.
14 Pinupuri kita, O Diyos, marapat kang katakutan,
ang lahat ng gawain mo ay kahanga-hangang tunay;
sa loob ng aking puso, lahat ito'y nakikintal.
15 Ang buto ko sa katawan noong iyon ay hugisin,
sa loob ng bahay-bata doo'y iyong napapansin;
lumalaki ako roong sa iyo'y di nalilihim.
16 Ako'y iyong nakita na, hindi pa man isinilang,
batid mo kung ilang taon ang haba ng aking buhay;
pagkat ito'y nakatitik sa aklat mo na talaan,
matagal nang balangkas mong ikaw lamang ang may alam.
17 Tunay,(A) Yahweh, di ko kayang maabot ang iyong isip,
ang dami ng iyong balak ay hindi ko nababatid;
18 kung ito ay bibilangin, ay sindami ng buhangin,
sasaiyo pa rin ako kung umaga na magising.
19 Ang hangad ko, aking Diyos, patayin mo ang masama,
at ang mga mararahas ay iwanan akong kusa.
20 Mayroon silang sinasabing masasama laban sa iyo,
at kanilang dinudusta, pati na ang pangalan mo.
21 Lubos akong nasusuklam sa sinumang muhi sa iyo,
ang lahat ng nag-aalsa laban sa iyo'y di ko gusto.
22 Lubos akong nagagalit, lubos din ang pagkasuklam,
sa ganoong mga tao ang turing ko ay kaaway.
23 O Diyos, ako'y siyasatin, alamin ang aking isip,
subukin mo ako ngayon, kung ano ang aking nais;
24 kung ako ay hindi tapat, ito'y iyong nababatid,
sa buhay na walang hanggan, samahan mo at ihatid.

139 Lord, you have examined me.
You know me.
2 You know when I sit down and when I stand up.
Even from far away, you comprehend my plans.
3 You study my traveling and resting.
You are thoroughly familiar with all my ways.
4 There isn’t a word on my tongue, Lord,
that you don’t already know completely.
5 You surround me—front and back.
You put your hand on me.
6 That kind of knowledge is too much for me;
it’s so high above me that I can’t reach it.
7 Where could I go to get away from your spirit?
Where could I go to escape your presence?
8 If I went up to heaven, you would be there.
If I went down to the grave,[a] you would be there too!
9 If I could fly on the wings of dawn,
stopping to rest only on the far side of the ocean—
10 even there your hand would guide me;
even there your strong hand would hold me tight!
11 If I said, “The darkness will definitely hide me;
the light will become night around me,”
12 even then the darkness isn’t too dark for you!
Nighttime would shine bright as day,
because darkness is the same as light to you!
13 You are the one who created my innermost parts;
you knit me together while I was still in my mother’s womb.
14 I give thanks to you that I was marvelously set apart.
Your works are wonderful—I know that very well.
15 My bones weren’t hidden from you
when I was being put together in a secret place,
when I was being woven together in the deep parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my embryo,
and on your scroll every day was written that was being formed for me,[b]
before any one of them had yet happened.[c]
17 God, your plans are incomprehensible to me!
Their total number is countless!
18 If I tried to count them—they outnumber grains of sand!
If I came to the very end—I’d still be with you.[d]
19 If only, God, you would kill the wicked!
If only murderers would get away from me—
20 the people who talk about you, but only for wicked schemes;
the people who are your enemies,
who use your name as if it were of no significance.[e]
21 Don’t I hate everyone who hates you?
Don’t I despise those who attack you?
22 Yes, I hate them—through and through!
They’ve become my enemies too.
23 Examine me, God! Look at my heart!
Put me to the test! Know my anxious thoughts!
24 Look to see if there is any idolatrous way[f] in me,
then lead me on the eternal path!

139 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
21 Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

1 You have searched me,(A) Lord,
and you know(B) me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;(C)
you perceive my thoughts(D) from afar.
3 You discern my going out(E) and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.(F)
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.(G)
5 You hem me in(H) behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,(I)
too lofty(J) for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee(K) from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens,(L) you are there;
if I make my bed(M) in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,(N)
your right hand(O) will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”

for darkness is as light to you.

I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made(V) in the secret place,

16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained(Y) for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts,[a](Z) God!(AA)
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,(AB)
they would outnumber the grains of sand(AC)—
when I awake,(AD) I am still with you.
19 If only you, God, would slay the wicked!(AE)
Away from me,(AF) you who are bloodthirsty!(AG)
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
your adversaries(AH) misuse your name.(AI)
21 Do I not hate those(AJ) who hate you, Lord,
and abhor(AK) those who are in rebellion against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.(AL)
23 Search me,(AM) God, and know my heart;(AN)
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way(AO) in me,
and lead me(AP) in the way everlasting.
