Awit ng Pagtatagumpay
118 Purihin(A) si Yahweh sa kanyang kabutihan!
Pag-ibig niya'y tunay, laging tapat kailanman.
2 Ang taga-Israel,
bayaang sabihi't kanilang ihayag,
“Pag-ibig niya'y tunay, laging tapat kailanman.”
3 Kayong mga pari
ng Diyos na si Yahweh, bayaang magsaysay:
“Pag-ibig niya'y tunay, laging tapat kailanman.”
4 Lahat ng may takot
kay Yahweh, dapat magpahayag,
“Pag-ibig niya'y tunay, laging tapat kailanman.”
5 Nang ako'y magipit,
ang Diyos na si Yahweh ay aking tinawag;
sinagot niya ako't kanyang iniligtas.
6 Kung(B) itong si Yahweh
ang aking kasama at laging kapiling,
walang pagkatakot sa aking darating.
7 Si Yahweh ang siyang
sa aki'y tumutulong laban sa kaaway,
malulupig sila't aking mamamasdan.
8 Higit na mabuti
na doon kay Yahweh magtiwala ako,
kaysa panaligan yaong mga tao.
9 Higit ngang mabuting
ang pagtitiwala'y kay Yahweh ibigay,
kaysa pamunuan ang ating asahan.
10 Sa aking paligid
laging gumagala ang mga kaaway,
winasak ko sila
at lakas ni Yahweh ang naging patnubay.
11 Kahit saang dako
ako naroroon ay nakapaligid,
winasak ko sila
sapagkat si Yahweh ay nasa aking panig.
12 Ang katulad nila
ay mga bubuyog na sumasalakay,
dagliang nasunog, sa apoy nadarang;
winasak ko sila
sapagkat si Yahweh ang aking sanggalang.
13 Sinalakay ako't
halos magtagumpay ang mga kaaway,
subalit si Yahweh, ako'y tinutulungan.
14 Si(C) Yahweh ang lakas ko't kapangyarihan;
siya ang sa aki'y nagdulot ng kaligtasan.
15 Dinggin ang masayang
sigawan sa tolda ng mga hinirang:
“Si Yahweh ay siyang lakas na patnubay!
16 Ang lakas ni Yahweh
ang siyang nagdulot ng ating tagumpay,
sa pakikibaka sa ating kaaway.”
17 Aking sinasabing
hindi mamamatay, ako'y mabubuhay
ang gawa ni Yahweh,
taos sa aking puso na isasalaysay.
18 Pinagdusa ako
at pinarusahan nang labis at labis,
ngunit ang buhay ko'y di niya pinatid.
19 Ang mga pintuan
ng banal na templo'y inyo ngayong buksan,
ako ay papasok,
at itong si Yahweh ay papupurihan.
20 Pasukan ni Yahweh
ang pintuang ito;
tanging makakapasok
ay matuwid na tao!
21 Aking pinupuri
ikaw, O Yahweh, yamang pinakinggan,
dininig mo ako't pinapagtagumpay.
22 Ang(D) (E) batong itinakwil
ng mga tagapagtayo ng bahay,
ang siyang naging batong-panulukan.
23 Ginawa ito ni Yahweh at ito'y kahanga-hangang pagmasdan.
24 O kahanga-hanga
ang araw na itong si Yahweh ang nagbigay,
tayo ay magalak, ating ipagdiwang!
25 Kami(F) ay iligtas,
tubusin mo, Yahweh, kami ay iligtas!
At pagtagumpayin sa layuni't hangad.
26 Pinagpala(G) ang dumarating sa pangalan ni Yahweh;
magmula sa templo,
mga pagpapala'y kanyang tatanggapin!
27 Si Yahweh ang Diyos,
pagkabuti niya sa mga hinirang.
Tayo ay magdala
ng sanga ng kahoy, simulang magdiwang,
at tayo'y lumapit sa dambanang banal.
28 Ikaw ay aking Diyos,
kaya naman ako'y nagpapasalamat;
ang pagkadakila mo ay ihahayag.
29 O pasalamatan
ang Diyos na si Yahweh, pagkat siya'y mabuti;
pag-ibig niya'y tunay, laging tapat kailanman.

Thanksgiving for Victory
118 Thank the Lord because he is good.
His love continues forever.
2 Let the people of Israel say,
“His love continues forever.”
3 Let the family of Aaron say,
“His love continues forever.”
4 Let those who fear the Lord say,
“His love continues forever.”
5 I was in trouble. So I called to the Lord.
The Lord answered me and set me free.
6 I will not be afraid because the Lord is with me.
People can’t do anything to me.
7 The Lord is with me to help me.
I will see my enemies defeated.
8 It is better to trust the Lord
than to trust people.
9 It is better to trust the Lord
than to trust princes.
10 All the nations surrounded me.
But I defeated them in the name of the Lord.
11 They surrounded me on every side.
But with the Lord’s power, I defeated them.
12 They surrounded me like a swarm of bees.
But they died as quickly as thorns burn.
By the Lord’s power, I defeated them.
13 They chased me until I was almost defeated.
But the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord gives me strength and makes me sing.
He has saved me.
15 Shouts of joy and victory
come from the tents of those who do right:
“The Lord has done powerful things.”
16 The power of the Lord has won the victory.
With his power the Lord has done mighty things.
17 I will not die, but live.
And I will tell what the Lord has done.
18 The Lord has taught me a hard lesson.
But he did not let me die.
19 Open for me the Temple gates.
Then I will come in and thank the Lord.
20 This is the Lord’s gate.
Only those who are good may enter it.
21 Lord, I thank you for answering me.
You have saved me.
22 The stone that the builders did not want
became the cornerstone.
23 The Lord did this,
and it is wonderful to us.
24 This is the day that the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad today!
25 Please, Lord, save us.
Please, Lord, give us success.
26 God bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord.
We bless all of you from the Temple of the Lord.
27 The Lord is God.
And he has shown kindness to us.
With branches in your hands, join the feast.
Come to the corners of the altar.
28 You are my God, and I will thank you.
You are my God, and I will praise your greatness.
29 Thank the Lord because he is good.
His love continues forever.
