Pagpupuri ng Taong Naligtas sa Kamatayan
116 Minamahal ko si Yahweh, pagkat ako'y dinirinig,
dinirinig niya ako, sa dalangin ko at hibik;
2 ako'y kanyang dinirinig tuwing ako'y tumatawag,
kaya nga't habang buhay ko'y sa iyo lagi tatawag.
3 Noong ako'y mahuhulog sa bingit ng kamatayan,
nadarama ko ang tindi ng takot ko sa libingan;
lipos ako ng pangamba at masidhing katakutan.
4 Sa ganoong kalagayan, si Yahweh ang tinawag ko,
at ako ay nagsumamo na iligtas niya ako.
5 Si Yahweh'y napakabuti, mahal niya ang katuwiran,
Diyos siyang mahabagin, sa awa ay mayaman.
6 Si Yahweh ang nag-iingat sa wala nang sumaklolo;
noong ako ay manganib, iniligtas niya ako.
7 Manalig ka, O puso ko, kay Yahweh ka magtiwala,
pagkat siya ay mabuti't hindi siya nagpapabaya.
8 Ako'y kanyang iniligtas sa kuko ng kamatayan,
tinubos sa pagkatalo, at luha ko'y pinahiran.
9 Sa presensya ni Yahweh doon ako mananahan,
doon ako mananahan sa daigdig nitong buháy.
10 Laging(A) buháy ang pag-asa, patuloy ang pananalig,
bagama't ang aking sabi'y, “Ako'y ganap nang nalupig.”
11 Bagama't ako'y takot, nasasabi ko kung minsan,
“Wala kahit isang tao na dapat pagtiwalaan.”
12 Kay Yahweh na aking Diyos, anong aking ihahandog,
sa lahat ng kabutihan na sa akin ay kaloob?
13 Ang handog ko sa dambana, ay inumin na masarap,
bilang aking pagkilala sa ginawang pagliligtas.
14 Sa tuwinang magtitipon ang lahat ng kanyang hirang,
ang anumang pangako ko, ay doon ko ibibigay.
15 Tunay ngang itong si Yahweh, malasakit ay malaki,
kung ang isang taong tapat, kamatayan ay masabat.
16 O Yahweh, naririto akong inyong abang lingkod,
katulad ng aking ina, maglilingkod akong lubos;
yamang ako'y iniligtas, kinalinga at tinubos.
17 Ako ngayo'y maghahandog ng haing pasasalamat,
ang handog kong panalangi'y sa iyo ko ilalagak.
18-19 Kapag nagsasama-sama ang lahat ng iyong hirang,
sa templo sa Jerusalem, ay doon ko ibibigay
ang anumang pangako kong sa iyo ay binitiwan.
Purihin si Yahweh!

116 Amo al Señor(A), porque oye(B)
mi voz y mis súplicas.
2 Porque a mí ha inclinado su oído(C);
por tanto le invocaré mientras yo viva.
3 Los lazos de la muerte me rodearon(D),
y los terrores[a] del Seol[b] vinieron sobre mí[c];
angustia y tristeza encontré.
4 Invoqué entonces el nombre del Señor(E), diciendo:
Te ruego, oh Señor: salva mi vida[d](F).
5 Clemente(G) y justo(H) es el Señor;
sí, compasivo es nuestro Dios(I).
6 El Señor guarda a los sencillos(J);
estaba yo postrado(K) y me salvó.
7 Vuelve, alma mía, a tu reposo(L),
porque el Señor te ha colmado de bienes(M).
8 Pues tú has rescatado mi alma de la muerte(N),
mis ojos de lágrimas,
mis pies de tropezar.
9 Andaré delante del Señor
en la tierra[e] de los vivientes(O).
10 Yo creía, aun cuando decía(P):
Estoy muy afligido(Q).
11 Dije alarmado[f](R):
Todo hombre es mentiroso(S).
12 ¿Qué daré[g] al Señor(T)
por todos sus beneficios para conmigo[h](U)?
13 Alzaré la copa de la salvación(V),
e invocaré el nombre del Señor(W).
14 Cumpliré mis votos al Señor(X),
sí, en presencia de todo su pueblo(Y).
15 Estimada[i] a los ojos del Señor(Z)
es la muerte de sus santos.
16 ¡Ah, Señor! Ciertamente[j] yo soy tu siervo(AA),
siervo tuyo soy, hijo de tu sierva(AB);
tú desataste mis ataduras(AC).
17 Te ofreceré sacrificio de acción de gracias(AD),
e invocaré el nombre del Señor(AE).
18 Al Señor cumpliré mis votos,
sí, en presencia de todo su pueblo(AF),
19 en los atrios de la casa del Señor(AG),
en medio de ti, oh Jerusalén(AH).

1 I love the Lord,(A) for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry(B) for mercy.(C)
2 Because he turned his ear(D) to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.
3 The cords of death(E) entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came over me;
I was overcome by distress and sorrow.
4 Then I called on the name(F) of the Lord:
“Lord, save me!(G)”
5 The Lord is gracious and righteous;(H)
our God is full of compassion.(I)
6 The Lord protects the unwary;
when I was brought low,(J) he saved me.(K)
8 For you, Lord, have delivered me(N) from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
9 that I may walk before the Lord(O)
in the land of the living.(P)
10 I trusted(Q) in the Lord when I said,
“I am greatly afflicted”;(R)
11 in my alarm I said,
“Everyone is a liar.”(S)
12 What shall I return to the Lord
for all his goodness(T) to me?
13 I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call on the name(U) of the Lord.
14 I will fulfill my vows(V) to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight(W) of the Lord
is the death of his faithful servants.(X)
16 Truly I am your servant, Lord;(Y)
I serve you just as my mother did;(Z)
you have freed me from my chains.(AA)
17 I will sacrifice a thank offering(AB) to you
and call on the name of the Lord.
18 I will fulfill my vows(AC) to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courts(AD) of the house of the Lord—
in your midst, Jerusalem.(AE)
