^14 (A)When Jesus came into Peter’s ^[a]home, He saw his mother-in-law lying sick in bed with a fever. ¹⁵ And He touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she got up and began ^[b]waiting on Him. ¹⁶ Now when evening came, they brought to Him many ^(B)who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and ^(C)healed all who were ill

^29 (A)And immediately after they came ^(B)out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. ³⁰ Now Simon’s mother-in-law was lying sick with a fever; and immediately they *spoke to ^[a]Jesus about her. ³¹ And He came to her and raised her up, taking her by the hand, and the fever left her, and she ^[b]began waiting on them.

^32 (C)Now when evening came, ^(D)after the sun had set, they began bringing to Him all who were ill and those who were ^(E)demon-possessed. ³³ And the whole ^(F)city had gathered at the door. ³⁴ And He ^(G)healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He was not permitting the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.

^38 (A)Then He stood up and left the synagogue, and entered Simon’s home. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was ^(B)suffering from a high fever, and they asked Him ^[a]to help her. ³⁹ And standing over her, He ^(C)rebuked the fever, and it left her. Immediately she stood up and ^[b]began waiting on them.

^40 (D)And while ^(E)the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him, and ^(F)laying His hands on each one of them, He was ^(G)healing them. ⁴¹ And demons also were coming out of many, shouting and saying, “You are ^(H)the Son of God!” But ^(I)rebuking them, He was ^(J)not allowing them to speak, because they knew Him to be the ^[c]Christ.
