²⁴ News about Him spread throughout all Syria. And they brought to Him all the sick—those tormented by various diseases and afflictions, those plagued by demons, the epileptics, the paralyzed—and He healed them.

¹⁶ When evening came, the people brought to Him many who were afflicted by demons. He forced out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.

²² The Torah scholars who came down from Jerusalem said, “He’s possessed by beelzebul,” and, “By the ruler of demons He drives out demons.”

⁴¹ Even demons were coming out from many, shouting out and saying, “You are Ben-Elohim!”^[a] But He was rebuking them and not permitting them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Messiah.
