³⁹ He went a little farther and fell on His face, and ^(A)prayed, saying, ^(B)“O My Father, if it is possible, ^(C)let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, ^(D)not as I will, but as You will.”

³³ And He ^(A)took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. ³⁴ Then He said to them, ^(B)“My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.”

³⁵ He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. ³⁶ And He said, ^(C)“Abba, Father, ^(D)all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; ^(E)nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”

^41 (A)And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, ⁴² saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless ^(B)not My will, but Yours, be done.” ^43 [a]Then ^(C)an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. ^44 (D)And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
