Defilement Is from Within

¹⁰ Summoning the crowd, he told them, “Listen and understand:

¹² Then they understood that he had not told them to beware of the leaven in bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.^(A)

¹³ Then the disciples understood that he had spoken to them about John the Baptist.

²¹ And he said to them, “Don’t you understand yet?” ^(A)
