19 And her husband Joseph, since he was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her, planned to [a](A)send her away secretly. 20 But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “(B)Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for [b]the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a Son; and (C)you shall name Him Jesus, for [c]He (D)will save His people from their sins.”

19 And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling (A)to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. 20 But as he considered these things, behold, (B)an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and (C)you shall call his name Jesus, (D)for he will save his people from their sins.”
