20 Então avisou os discípulos de que não deveriam divulgar ainda que ele era o Cristo.
Jesus prediz a sua morte
(Mc 8.31-33; Lc 9.22)
21 A partir daí, começou a explicar aos discípulos que estava destinado a ir para Jerusalém e a passar por muitos sofrimentos, ser rejeitado pelos anciãos[a], pelos principais sacerdotes e pelos especialistas na Lei e ser morto, mas três dias depois ressuscitaria.
22 Pedro chamou-o à parte e começou a repreendê-lo: “Deus o não permita, Senhor! Isso não te há de acontecer!”
23 Mas Jesus, voltando-se para ele, respondeu: “Vai para trás de mim, Satanás! És um motivo de escândalo para mim. Vês as coisas do ponto de vista humano e não do ponto de vista de Deus.”

20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone(A) that he was the Messiah.
Jesus Predicts His Death(B)
21 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem(C) and suffer many things(D) at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law,(E) and that he must be killed(F) and on the third day(G) be raised to life.(H)
22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan!(I) You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.
21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
