⁶ I tell you, ^(A)something greater than the temple is here.

^41 (A)The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and ^(B)condemn it, for ^(C)they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, ^(D)something greater than Jonah is here. ^42 (E)The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, ^(F)something greater than Solomon is here.

⁴ As you come to him, a living stone ^(A)rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, ^5 (B)you yourselves like living stones are being built up as ^(C)a spiritual house, to be ^(D)a holy priesthood, ^(E)to offer spiritual sacrifices ^(F)acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ “But will God indeed dwell with man on the earth? Behold, ^(A)heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this house that I have built!

⁹ For ^(A)in him the whole fullness of deity dwells ^(B)bodily,

^20 (A)built on the foundation of the ^(B)apostles and prophets, ^(C)Christ Jesus himself being ^(D)the cornerstone, ^21 (E)in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into ^(F)a holy temple in the Lord. ²² In him ^(G)you also are being built together ^(H)into a dwelling place for God by^[a] the Spirit.

¹⁹ Jesus answered them, ^(A)“Destroy this temple, and in three days ^(B)I will raise it up.” ²⁰ The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple,^[a] and will you raise it up in three days?” ²¹ But he was speaking about ^(C)the temple of his body.

3 ^(A)“Behold, I send ^(B)my messenger, and ^(C)he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord ^(D)whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and ^(E)the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts.

⁷ And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and ^(A)I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts. ^8 (B)The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. ^9 (C)The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And ^(D)in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.’”
